hikaru_67 I've noticed that a lot of flute players are starting to come. We have so many flute players at our school that we can make an army! Does anyone else notice this or is it just me? I must answer yes, because I go to your school, so... We didn't have many, but all the fish that are coming in. sheesh! Flute army, ready to kill *cough* did I say that? I mean... I meant hug! Yes, hug anyone who gets in our way. ^.^ *nods* flutes rock. Sophomores rock. end of story.

Well, this year there were about 21 flutes. 15 trumpets. I forget the rest.. because they were all decent numbers.
But more than half the flutes are quitting, there might be maybe 4-5 tops next year. Everyone's quitting band, those weirdos.

A band I travled with this summer was discribed as a flute band with accompaniment. 28 flutes! The largest section easily... It's not all that uncommon here in the city area. It's not that bad at my school, though... maybe 25 of a band of close to 150...

My school could use some Flutes, we can't hear them at all for out marching show. nearly all of them are in color gaurd, so there they go. That then makes out percussion section the largest, with 4 snares, 5 basses, 2 quints, and a couple pit people. after that, nearly all the other sections have 3-5 people. and this is ouly a three-year band. i can't belive homany we lost over the summer...

Kaito_San My school could use some Flutes, we can't hear them at all for out marching show. Wow, I don't think I've ever heard of a band that didn't have enough flutes. We ((meaning us, flutes)) overpower the rest of our band, pretty much. Too damn many of us. But I think that'll change, since about 18 of the 20 I think dropped out of band.

We have FOUR flutes. Well, last year. I'm curious how many there will be this year... But yeah. Last year it wasn't a FLUTE overpopulation, but a CLARINET overpopulation! O_O For a 45-50 person band, half of it was clarinets!!!! >.< Four flutes = BAD
