Hmm....now that you mention it, I think that I'm inclined to believe you. That is, Rhys having the potential to pull a Richard. If being a god of death isn't something to angst about, then what is? Then again, FenrisVollmond had a point by saying that he was Asher. Oh god, stab me, I just indirectly compared Asher to Richard. gonk
Anyway, although Rhys and Richard might have similarities, I still believe that Richard and Frost are the closest...not because of motivation, but because of their jealousy and how it corners their love interest (a.k.a. beats her over the head, drags her into a dark deserted alley and then forces her to deal with his issues, lol). Frost keeps cornering Merry, saying that since they're in love that they should have more sex, thus making him king. Merry kinda takes the more logical (and hornier) course of action.

No just no, Frost is a sweetheart,a dn delicate in his own way. He is nice and only mildly jealous,a dn in themost recent of Merideth books, mostly nervous most of the time. He is nothing like richard! accepting the fact that he is one of the ones that meredith loves the most, i would compare him to Jean Claude more ion that sense. . . .maybe the Darkness is more like richard, but even he is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than richard, Richard is just a plain old jerk off. . . . .

I don't really see any similar traits between them, personally. If I had to choose between the two, I'd take Frost over Richard.

Len_2k5 No........ Frost isn't like Richard. If anything a bit like Asher, but not Richard. That is who i meant, Asher, They both have the same inferiority complex, they both also ahve a self loathing sadness to them, course, lol his emo ness is why i love Asher

doyle is my favorite character altho frost is a close second and i think that frost is cooler (pun in tended) than richard who is a self hating beast who just needs to get over his wolfiness 3nodding

No they are completely different Frost has issues where someone finally cares about him and to him he can't lose that. I mean come on if you have a woman you loved and she has purposefully ignored you and tortured you for so long and you then get a second chance at love with a woman that returns the feelings and wants to protect you. Then have the chance that it can all be stripped away because you aare competing to get her pregnant against the closest to brothers you have. Anyone would be moody and angsty with all that.
Richard is just a man that always envisioned the white picket fence and can't cope with the fact that he can have that but behind the picket fence is a family of monsters.
They also differ where Frost can have someone lean on him and will always put is emotions aside when important events are happening. Where Richard isnt stable enough to comfort anyone and doesnt care whats going on or who might die as long as he gets his way.
