Aruna sighed as the wind from Safi's wings stopped. "Well, if you're tired, you can stop. I'm not biting at them!" She moved away a bit from him. "I was nipping! There's a difference!" She barely dodged the swat he gave her when she nipped, and was brushed with his feathers slightly.
"Hahahaha, okay, okay, I see the downside to flying now, too!" Aruna said, rolling her eyes good naturedly. "There are downsides to walking, too, you know--if you get lost, you can't just fly up and look around to get your bearings! And it doesn't help that I'm small, either, you know. I could be prey in the next instant! You have to be cautious a lot when you can't fly."

"Nipping, biting, both imply the contact between teeth and various body parts that are best left intact." Yet again, Safi found himself sticking his tongue out at Aruna, but that left him thinking that he definitely needed to come up with some other kind of secondary retort; sticking one's toungue out could be so repetitive! Ah well, maybe next time. "And I never said I was tired; believe it or not, I am actually possessing a great deal of physical stamina."
At that, the stallion finally rose to his feet, stretching a little bit to ease the stiffness in his joints. "As to the whole flying thing, I concede that there might be a few perks to flying, but overall it's not as nice as walking. Besides, isn't wondering about it a waste of time anyway?"

"Fine, fine," Aruna said, chuckling softly. "A great deal of stamina, eh? Well, you are a stallion, Safi," She replied, returning his rasberry. It was starting to become a bit of bore, sticking one's tongue out, but in a way it was its own humor... if that made any sense.
His question processing, Aruna finally allowed a true laugh to come out of her mouth. "Wandering about a waste of time? You're talking to the wrong mare, my winged friend." She, too, stood, walking around slowly to get the stiffness out of her legs.

"Now that's just a sexist comment, Aru; are you now insinuating that males MUST have lots of stamina? You know, that could really hurt my ego if I was insecure and lacking in stamina." Which of course he wasn't, but why let something as trivial as the truth get in the way of a good hypothetical ponderance? "Really, I expected more from you."
Grinning, he proceded on to address the next point. "Wondering, Aru, not wandering; wandering is well and good, as it gets you from point A to point B; but WONDERING about what it would or would be like to have something that it's impossible to obtain...well, that's just a waste of valuable time. Unless, of course, you don't have anything better to do." At that, he gave her a wink, clearing indicating their own current (and rather silly) conversation.

"Don't most of you grand males have lots of stamina?" Aruna countered, chuckling. "Such as yourself, I might add. And really, that's all you really could expect out of me, Safi--I have many stallion friends who all have lots of stamina, you know."
She tilted her head a bit in confusion. "Wondering? Ah, I must've heard you wrong, then," she said, rolling her eyes. "Wondering is a beautiful way to spend your time, you know, epescially if you're bored. My life isn't oh so dramatic like yours, Safi, so I highly doubt it's a waste of time."

"Ok, so maybe you have precedent; but that doesn't change the fact that it's a horrible use of gender stereotyping." Safi smiled and reached over, ruffling Aruna's mane with a wing. Really, all silliness aside, she HAD come a long way from the moody and morose mare she'd been when he met her, and he was pleased with the change; the more time they spent toghether, the more he found himself thinking of her as the little sister he didn't have.
"I wouldn't say that my life is dramtic, Aru; you have more going on than I do, I"d say. What varies is how much importance we attach to certain things." For Safi, this was downright serious; perhaps all that philosophical talk had led to it; it was kind of hard to say.
