I haven't been reading as much as I wish I could lately, but my favorite author is still Garth Nix. I read Mister Monday a while ago, it was pretty good.

i just finished reading The Joy Luck Club, and it was amazing! if you are interested in symbolism, cultural influence, or any form of realistic fiction, i'd suggest it. currently i'm reading Grass Soup, which is a personal account of China's re-education camps during Mao's Cultural Revolution. it's interesting, but the writing style is like that of a lecture, more informative than creative.

Esteloth Do mangas enter in the book category? or are they a category on their own? If you want go ahead and start you own thread about those if you want. Im not sure if they'd be considered books are not but I've heard people talk about them so why not just creat a topic for them.

But i'd be glad to jump to another thread if all we can talk about here are novels...
My last Novel was "The DaVinci Code" which is a good read.

Not a huge fan of DaVinci code. good conspiracy theory. poor writing. if he had teamed up with a strong writer, the book would have been really awesome.
I'm re-reading the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams! It is a HILARIOUS series. Chock full of dry British wit. Love it! blaugh
