Laughing, Youko nodded. "I saw Kay again the other day. She was hyped up on sugar or something, and was going a mile a minute." He tried to think then.. he knew Zah... "OH! The Drow baby. I met him briefly the other day. Shavri made HIM cry too."
As if hearing that and understanding, Shavri whipped her head around at her father and frowned darkly. "Abuh..." she muttered, letting go of Yashi's hand and rolling onto her side to pout. It wasn't HER fault they cried... she didn't even SAY anything to them and they would cry. It had to be something else.

"Kay is really the only girl Yashi will out-all cuddle and purr at." Patrick grinned a little and then..blinkity blink! "Really? Zah is like..Yashi's favorite little snuggle partner...ever. Maybe next time they meet, Yashi'll be here and he could be a mediator or something. He doesn't seem to mind her except for the chewing thing.."
Another supressed grin at that, either way.
Yashima, surprised about her sudden growly mood, reached over and petted at that soft dark hair. "Abuh," He agreed sympathetically, wriggling over to settle next to her. "Zawsaw?" It finally kicked in that they were talking about HIS Zah and those ears perked up.
The fox gave a little squeal! "Zawsaw~?"

"She's just upset because she doesn't like it when people cry..." Youko explained, ruffling Yashima's ears. "Zas seemed to be pretty interesting... what I was able to see anyway. It was pitch black in the HQ because of his light sensitivity, and he was pretty upset when Shavri snuck into his blanket to say hi."
Shavri rolled towards Yashima then, curling up alongside him and yawning softly as she watched the two of them and listened to the conversation. They were talking about the dark-skinned boy from the other day...

"Apparently, he's a big fan of spiders?" He offered up, nose crinkling a little. "I'm not really knowledgeable on Drows, unfortunetly, but he screams when there's light on him. At least, from what I've seen. And he likes shadows and soft things."
The man paused, blinking down and smiling down at Shavri and Yashima. "He's skittish around girls too, I think. I read somewhere but.." His hand waves, "I've heard him crying around two girls now. At least, one girl and one with bits of a girl and...well, you know what I mean. I think he cried?" A pause once more. "...damn. I can't remember. Maybe I'm just making it up or something. My head hates me today - sorry.."
Yashima watched her curiously once she rolled over, fingers moving to pet further at her dark hair. "Zawsaw," He informed her seriously, although he didn't care to elaborate more then that.

Shavri went from mouthing Yashima's hand to sucking on her own thumb, her eyes starting to slip closed. Her other hand fisted in the boy's clothes, clinging to him as she started to doze off. It had been a busy day! The fresh air and sunshine were doing wonders for soothing her as well.
"Well, he screamed at Shavri. Not sure if it was because she's kinda a girl, or if it was because she startled him. She was in baby ghost form and went into the blanket that was wrapped around him." Youko shook his head faintly at the memory. "Then he started screaming and Artemis started screaming... and Shavri started wailing. At least the other two there didn't have to hear HER in addition to the other two. That treat was for me alone."

Well...at least she wasn't eating HIM anymore. That was a positive thing. Yashimas eyes were wide as he watched the girl - the BOY! The boy slowly fade off into a dozing-type state.
"....that'd make me scream too. Things wrapping around me at night BETTER be Mordread or they get a five-year-old girl scout type shriek." He grinned, eyebrows furrowing. "Artemis? Who's Artemis?" If there was a Shavri and there was a Zah...could that.. "Artemis - is she another wand?"

That made Youko laugh, the thought of Patrick screaming like a girl. "She's not a wand... but she used to be," Youko said, still snickering. "She's another one who likes nighttime, apparently. Both she and Zah seemed to prefer the dark. I'm just glad that I can see pretty well in the dark."
Shavri, by this point, was unconscious, snoring softly as her thumb hung from slack lips. Her hand still clung to Yashima though, as if she refused to let go even though she was asleep.

"Gotcha..." If Patrick could blush, he would've. He screamed like a girl often... When Iamel first appeared. When Akuti appeared! When he thought Yashi was going to be attacked by wild mongeese or something...Things like that scared him, and he screamed thusly.
"I say, we just get Zah some of that sunscreen and a pair of awesome sunglasses, and he'd be set." He grinned, eyes on the two kids.
Yashi looked up at the adults, appearing stricken. "...mou." He bemoaned his fate a little, looking back at the girl and tugging gently at her wrist.

"Meh..." Shavri nestled closer, wrapping around Yashima in her sleep and nuzzling him. She seemed to have gotten the nuzzling habit from Youko, and made ample use of it already.
"I think she wants her pillow to sit still," Youko snickered, keeping his voice soft so that (hopefully) only Patrick could hear. "And I dunno about the sunscreen... I think the light REALLY hurts his eyes though. I don't have much knowledge about Drow, but I bet my daughter and I can dig up some information and see what we can find that would help."

Yashi whined quietly at the nuzzling, muscles tightening slightly under the outfit he was wearing. She was CUDDLING him. She was PETTING him. It was disconcerting because at this point he had realized it was, indeed, a girl. At least, that's how she felt at the moment, looking all poofed up and pretty.
Patrick just smiled faintly, running a hand over the back of his neck. "Yeah.. I'm going to ask Neveah about it.. Or check out a library or something. The internet is lovely, sometime! We're going to have...a.unique bunch of kids around here.."

"I wonder what we could find out in the library about all of them?" Youko asked, picking at a blade of grass as he sprawled on his back in the grass. He enjoyed the lazy days like today immensely. "I mean, there's got to be books about them all... I know there's legends of kitsune and if worse comes to worse, I can direct you towards my mother. She's full blooded kitsune, I'm just half."
Shavri had cracked her eyes open again, whining softly at the continued talking and moving around her, and tightened her hold on Yashima accordingly. She looked up at him, pleading softly as if saying 'DO something...'

"There's books on EVERYTHING, somewhere." He shrugged a little bit, leaning back on his arms, head tilting up to the sky. "I'm kind of afraid to learn out anymore about Yashi then I already do...He has flashbacks sometimes, I think. Screaming, won't let anyone near him..none of that s**t."
Patrick grinned, casting a glance to the other. "If I knew any goddesses or gods, I'd offer their aide, though?"
Yashi whined right back at her and hesitated, glancing back up at the adults near them. Then the little fox siiiighed, hand moving to cup her ears. "Hmmph."

Smiling softly, Shavri nestled up to Yashima then, pillowing her head in his lap as she curled into a ball. The soft sucking sound came from her thumb then as she slipped her eyes closed and began to doze once more.
Youko couldn't help but feel a bit of 'd'awww' at that, reaching to ruffle Yashi's ears gently. "She likes you," he whispered, encouraging him. "I think you've made a good friend there, you know?"

Neveah yawned, stretching one of her arms over her head. "I've already tried sunscreen~" She said lazily, the beginning of her words catching the very end of her yawn. When she came into the gardens, she heard 'Zah' and 'sunscreen' in the same sentence...and she figured she'd point out it was useless. Of course, she had to stop for a bit to move some of Zah's blankets, and to yawn a few times, and to enjoy the light. "I'm tempted to just wrap him in seran wrap and let him do what he wants." She giggled, shifting the black and red bundle into her right arm, to give her left a stretch as well. Damn Zah was getting heavy!
"Oh...and I'm sorry to butt in! I'll leave if you want me too." She keened out, ever the thoughtful one.
"Eeeemaaaah~ Ahsheemaah~" Came a rather loud, apparently very awake chant. Apparently, Zah could hear his friend from the confines of his blankets. "Ashemah~ AshemahAshemah..." Then, little hands came out of nowhere from the mound of blankets, coupled with a loud churr of glee. Gloves! He had gloves! Gloves and armthings! Take that, you stupid ball of hurtful brightness!

"Of course you don't have to leave!" Youko said, grinning up at the butterfly woman and sliding a bit to let her have room on the blanket as well. Shavri had been settled in the shade... and while he didn't know if Zah would be fine in just the shade or not, it had to be better than full sunlight, yes?
Shavri blinked then, whining softly as she was woken YET AGAIN, and glared up towards the woman. Then she recognized the bundle in her arms, and remembered the boy that cried at the light. "ABAH!!" she yelled, waving an arm sleepily as she smiled towards them.
