I like Hurley's theory:
A really pissed off giraffe.
And while we're on the subject of weird stuff on the island... what the hell is up with the polar bears? Haven't seen any on the show for a while. But I mean, polar bears? Eh?

soccorro if you ever have read lord of the flies you'll notice that the lost monster is very similar to that monster. i'm going with evil on the island or it's been tainted. That's what I was thinking.
