(Tsu in color! =o How purtiful.)
"Or he could still be alive, roaming the streets as an everyday freak.. But like you said, I may never know," Kotoro said, pushing a lock of his red hair away from his face. If he was at all amused by their conversation, he didn't seem to show it outwardly. It was, however, a relief in his eyes from the so far extremely boring day. Talking to elderly women about his flower preference or how corrupt the world is nowadays got dull fast. With mention of his attempt to feign reading, he took a short glimpse at the book still laying in the chair before returning his gaze to 'Aoi'. "Alright. Allow me to confess for you," he offered. "I despise this job."

He smiled. It felt very strange to talk about himself in third person and it was deffinately amusing. "There's a bar called Soulight a couple blocks down and they're looking for a bar tender. Why not try that instead?" He leaned against the counter, having taken the neccessary step back to it. "It seems more like the job for you," he said with a bit of a shrug.

'And you should be working in a morgue.. maybe a circus, better yet,' he thought, but kept it to himself. Verbal insults weren't very much his forte. "I'd end up drinking more than I sold," he said. "Besides, I tend to get into trouble sometimes while in bars." Whether it would be fights, trying to seduce the waiters, or just being disruptive. Kotoro's drunk self was much like his sober self's opposite. "And anyway, in this place I get paid for practically sitting here doing nothing. Boring, but an easy paycheck, thanks."

He shrugged. "Suit yourself." He saw the look in the other's eyes and, knowing what it meant, his grin widened. He knew he looked like a freak and often people, not knowing who he was, had told him. Of course, that was before he had hexed them. It would have been quite impossible after, for they were often missing their tongues.

A small bell sounded as Lotus entered the flower shop, his raven hair covering most of his face. Walking slowly in search for orchids, Lotus paused in midstep as he realized there were two guys in the flower shop.
...wierd much? who are they....
Then with a breeze that escaped through the window, Lotus continued in his search.
oh come on...please have at least one orchid....
Having spent his day locked up and depressed, Lotus decided to buy an orchid...they always cheered him up. Something about that particular flower brought an uncertain nostalgic feeling in his heart that he couldnt place.
bent over with a sad face, Lotus poked the empty orchid vase...
"oh DARN! i was SO hoping they would have some..." said Lotus who decided to stay and stare at the empty vase.

That noticed expression only increased with 'Aoi's' enlarged grin. If he could only bring himself to become a more outwardly angry-aggresive person, he wouldn't have to put up with people like that. Not that he often crossed paths with such persons often.
Kotoro's mouth snapped shut from a readied retort when he was surprised he hadn't noticed another body in the store. A younger looking boy. Keeping aware of the first boy's presence, he slowly moved around the counter until he came a few paces behind from Lotus.
"..."
He wondered if the young man thought merely staring at the vase would make the flowers appear. Clearing his throat as to grab his attention, he announced, "Yeah.. Can I help you with something?"

Funny, Tsubaki hadn't even noticed the boy - even with the bell. But he certainly was inconspicuous - all he did was stare at flowers. Not a sound. He frowned. Odd - although he reminded himself that that thought was a little more than a tad ironic, with his looks and personality.

Lotus realized that the person who worked there stood behind him and was talking to him, though it all sounded like "bla bla bla..."
"excuse me?" Lotus asked, somewhat furrowing his eyebrows in annoyance.
I despise it when people get behind me and talk...
"oh...no, I do not believe you can, unless you have some extra orchids in storage...."
Lotus then side glanced at the other customer...
...why hello there...are you going to continue to stare at me or what....wonder why hes frowning...what did i do? was there an important conversation going on?

Kotoro blinked not bothering to follow Lotus's glance to the other man occupying the store.
'Orchid?' he thought to himself. He was oblivious to what the flower was or looked like. That merely left him with another reason for him to wonder how he got this job.
"No, I don't think we do." He didn't really know. Saying no would be easier. Looking to his right, he plucked an orange and yellow flower. "How about one of these-" he read the label- "Marigolds, instead? They kind of look like orchids.."

Tsubaki smothered a laugh, covering his mouth with a hand. He came behind Kotoro and said, quietly, his voice full of laughter, "Orchids and marigolds are nothing alike. Go to the back room and check. They should have orchids there, unless people have gone orchid mad, which I doubt. It's irises right now, anyway." He knew the man cared nothing for flowers, but he still found the situation funny.

Lotus narrowed his eyes somewhat at the worker, half confused half flustered.
"excuse me?...no..I don't think you could be of much help unless you have some extra orchids...you wouldn't happen to have any, would you?"
Lotus looked into the workers eyes with much hope.

Kotoro's long fingers slid up the extent of the marigold's stem before replacing it among the others. He clearly heard the amusement in Tsubaki's voice. Just because he worked here, was he suppose to be some sort of flower expert?
Seeing that glint of hope in Lotus's eyes, he sighed. He didn't think he'd ever understand why they held plants in such high regards. "I'll go look," he said as he turned to go to the back of the store.

Lotus could see how bothersome it was for the worker to go to the back and look. And part of chreis regretted asking, but the other was resolute and clung to the hope of having the flower in his arms.
im sorry if im being a bother....its just those flowers are one of the few things that starts a familiar feeling in me....one of the very few things...
Lotus sighed somewhat and stared at the ceiling..forgetting that there was another person in the store, Lotus turned and looked what he was doing.... He then smiled very friendly towards him.

Tsubaki had been examining a display of irises, but he caught the boy's smile and returned it, although his smile had more of the sly hunter than friendliness in it. "You like orchids... Well, they're beautiful flowers, aren't they? What's your name, if you don't mind me asking?"

"oh its lotus" he replied with a still friendly smile. "its a pleasure to meet your aquantance. And who might you be?"
Lotus was rather curious of whom this other customer was. after all, he'd never seen him before at the shop (kinda like the worker lol ) ...
"ive never seen you here before, are you new here?"
