I was like, "I TOLD YOU SO!" to my family. xD

They just wouldn't lose the Tardis for good. <3

I was kind of expecting it to end up with everyone dead except the doctor and Rose and the writers using some cheap 'Some evils are too big to die' cop-out line so I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised to see how it ended up. Though if he knew everything about everything surely the devil knew he was going to end up dead in the first place thus rendering the whole plotline a temporal paradox of the highest order O.o

Damn but that GC beast was awesome though. Shame about the crappy superimposing effects of everything in the foreground :3

It was an okay episode but I don't think it's one of the best. I mean the acting and graphics where really cool but it was just a bit cliche neutral Of course everyone knew the doctor would be okay and that the Tardis wasn't really gone but meh...

I think I'm just miffed about having two 2-parters in the same series and having them so close together.

Next week's looks...odd. Not particularly exciting though. Have the writers really fallen short on ideas? The first couple of epiodse were great but the further along in ther series we get the worse the episodes get neutral ...

Still, good music. And next week's episode looks interesting. Not sure I'll be able to stomach "Danny" from Hustle in it though...

Danny was great in hustle.

I took an instant dislike to him, partly because he was cocky, but mostly because he took screen time away from Robert Vaughn. That should be criminalised smile

Heh, that was enjoyable. The Beast was impressive looking, even if it didn't really do much aside from snarling, growling, and letting out the occasional evil chuckle. Nice to see Rose being a competent companion again. I wonder if Satan was serious when he said she was soon going to die in battle. Eh... he can't be that good a prognosticator, or he wouldn't have allowed himself to get chucked into that black hole.

No definitive evidence that Satan = Sutekh, which I know some people on other Dr. Who forums were hoping for. Though he had that line "This one knows me, as I know him: the killer of his own kind." Which I took to suggest that the Doctor was the one who wiped out his people during the Time War. A delta wave, perhaps?

And what's with the Doctor's line "Ida, see you again, maybe"?

"Tell Rose... Tell her... I... Oh, she knows."

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, JUST TELL HER WILL YOU!

My brain went to sleep halfway through this episode.

I felt sorry for Jefferson when he died, though it was somewhat amusing when he said that being able to pick how he died would be better than "death by Ood"

I think it was the only episode of Doctor Who in my memory to make me cry. When the Doctor was hanging in the pit, disconnecting the rope part by part, with the whole 'tell Rose' thing, thinking he and Ida were gonna die anyways, it made me cry!

Gah, I'm such a wet flannel O_o

I agree with Ruby Faerie - I've resorted to Rose/10 FanFictions to make me happy, as he's obviously not gonna tell her any day soon. rolleyes

I have an explanation for why the TARDIS was in the Pit and why the Doctor always seems to end up at trouble spots.... the TARDIS does it deliberately.

Think about it, The Parting Of The Ways revealed that the TARDIS did have it's own mind and that it can see all of time and space. Thus I think the TARDIS subliminally plants messages in the Doctor's head, 'suggesting' that he goes to certain points in time. That way the problem can be solved and time can be protected. Thus, in order to prevent the Doctor being sucked into the Black Hole, the TARDIS materialized itself inside the Pit and waited for the Doctor to destroy the seal.

One thing I didn't like was the death of Toby, I wanted him to live. That way he could have returned in a later episode where the Doc and his companion arrive in his time period. That way they could have developed his character a bit more and see how he was dealing with the aftermath of being posessed by 'The Devil'.

God I LOVED that episode! It's my favorite so far! It totally ate my brain!!!! And then I was shouting (quietly becuase I was baby-sitting little sleeping kids) at the TV when 10 was like 'Tell Rose.......tell her.......Oh she knows' And I was like 'NO!!! YOU HAVE TO SAY IT!!!' because I don't think he's ever said it before, and besides, I don't think he's alowed to becuase of ep.3 and the whole 'watching people you love die' thing. confused

I get the feeling that you guys are miss misenterpreting what the Doctor meant. I seriously doubt that the Doctor loves Rose in that sense. He was probably going to tell her the same thing he said when he sent her home in Parting of Ways. that's why he said "Oh, she knows."

I wonder if Satan was serious when he said she was soon going to die in battle.

She will trip over and die running away from/to battle.

And what's with the Doctor's line "Ida, see you again, maybe"?

He said that because MAYBE he will SEE IDA AGAIN.

Note the subliminal hints in above statement.

I dunno. I think it actually does have some kind of deeper meaning. Becuase whenever somthing of that subject comes up, it's always quickly averted. I dunno. *shrugs*

Maybe that's because it's morraly reprehensible on so many levels?
