Aruna smiled at him. "You must think I'm crazy, don't you? But your wings are not abnormal. They aren't a defect, either! And they're not odd; they're magnificent." Her golden eyes glowed as she cocked her head him, seeing that she was making him feel a little better. That's good. He doesn't look the type to be sad.

"Yes, dignified." She chuckled, "I might have a way with words, but I didn't know I did have a way with words." She decided she liked it when The Phantom smiled. It looked better on him. "Now, do I keep calling you "The Phantom", or can I call you something else?" She only preferred titles when she was feeling especially polite.

"Your a peculiar one I'd prefer to be called 'The Phantom' but my true name is Erik. Please don't go parading around with my true name though cheire." His eyes looked at her a bit sympathetically for himself.

"And yes I think your extremely crazy mademoiselle." he replied with his heavenly and deep French accented voice. His silvery orbs glanced at her. "What makes you think them as magnificent?"

"I suppose you don't think soaring the skies free of nearly everything doesn't suit you? That's another thing. I love wings mainly because they give you a grand appearance, Erik." She nodded. "I promise to only call you "The Phantom" around others. I will keep your true name secret."

When he looked at her with eyes like his, she had to bite the inside of her mouth to keep from flinching visibly at the sad sight. "Ah, you're not the only one to think I'm crazy," She said quietly, golden orbs misting over in deep thought. "In fact... I've been called a lot of things that a lady shouldn't be called." Her eyes sharpened, and she smiled at him. "But that matters not."

"Thank you mademoiselle, it is much appreciated." he responded. "Your crazy in a good way." he replied in his low, silky voice. "Why would anyone call you something you are not?" It tore himself inside someone would call somone as nice as Aruna something horrible, if someone did it in front of himself he would probably be consumed in rage and attack them and possibly kill them. It wasn't unknown for Erik to do something of the such.

"You're very welcome, Erik," she said, nodding. "Am I? That's nice to hear." She liked the way he spoke. It was very interesting. "I guess because they think I'm crazy in a bad way..." Well, it was true. Many of the Soquili she met had all said so, but she figured she was getting on better terms with them.

She hoped. "If I recall..." she didn't like doing this, but Erik seemed genuinely interested, "...I am strange in a bad way, senile, and "old"--though, I think that insult was just because I was acting strange." She didn't think she was old (she was quite young, thank you) but still, some of the comments had gotten to her. Luckily, she was over them.

She didn't want to ask Erik anything about himself; but she also realized it would pain him, and she wanted to keep him distracted. The song he had sung earlier that night was too depressing, and he deserved to be happy.

"Old?" he asked in a bit of a scoffing way. "Your far younger than me dear, so you shouldn't let people like them get to you. I'm a good example on how not to let others get to you, though I may be a bad example," he added. "I ran from it." he sighed. "Would you like to go on a walk?" he realized they were just standing their and it seemed sort of odd to him.

Aruna chuckled. "I'll take your word for it, and of course! I'd love to go for a walk." She didn't think he looked all that old, actually; quite the opposite. However, he did seem older than her. "Running away is okay sometimes," she agreed, "But only if you want to think about things.

"I don't think you're a bad example at all," she added. "I ran away from my problems, too, but then I came back. If you can come back, then that means you're ready, right? You can fight for what you think is right." She figured she sounded like her mother at this point; always being optimistic. Oh well.

"I could never go back to Paris!" he blurted. He looked to the ground shamefully as he had let his anger be let out upon her and he shouldn't have. "I'm sorry mademoiselle." He looked to her, "If I didn't leave I would have been killed." he hadn't realized he had left his stories untied and the mare in suspense. He started walking after his little scene.

"Huh? Oh, well, that's something totally different!" Aruna followed after him as he began to walk. "And no need to be sorry or to apologize, dear Erik," she assured him. "It's all right. Sometimes you need to have someone to talk to."

He smiled softly but it wasn't one in happiness rather assurance that she was their. They walked into the open plains as the sky thwacked and boomed. A storm? Purple veins lit the sky also in bright electriv yellows, and the thunder crashed after, he looked around curiously when it started to pour rain. He spread his wing over Aruna's face and most of her body as they started to make their way to the sheltar to the trees.

"Thank you, Phantom," Aruna said as Erik spread his wings over her. She followed him as he led them toward the trees where they could find shelter from the rain. "It just started pouring so quickly..." She said as she stared back out toward the rain.

She liked storms, but only when they were done with their thundering and lightning. After storms were done finishing their... music... (in a way, rainstorms and thunderstorms seemed to have interesting ways to do music) ...everything looked brighter, and cleaner.

He nodded as she said 'thank you' he was still getting used to others being poliet to him aswell. He still thought she was odd in a peculiar way. Unique. "Tends to do that sometimes at night, wouldn't be the first time its happened to me." he smiled weakly.
He remembered when he was crossing the ocean to get to this place and it started to pour. He had to wade in the ocean for awhile, so he wasn't struck by lightning.

"Does it? Don't be like that," Aruna said, frowing in concern. "And are you all right? No after effects from that time you traveled?" She hoped the poor dear didn't get hit by lightning or anything. The Phantom was fragile, from the looks of it (at least, mentally), and already, she felt she didn't want him to be hurt, mentally or physically.

"Do you like storms, though?" she smiled him as she turned away from staring out at the rain. "I prefer rain storms to thunder storms. The "after the storm" is beautiful, especiall with rain storms."
PostPosted: Mon Jun 19, 2006 12:01 pm

"I like running in them occasionally, rain storms I hate thuderstorms." he shrunk back a bit. "There to loud and just rather malicious to me. Rain is just more...beautiful I s'pose you could say it in that sense." He looked to her, "Be like what?"

She tilted her head a little and grinned, though faintly. "Nevermind, Sir Phantom." She nodded in agreement with him. "Oh, yes, running in rainstorms is a beautiful feeling. And yes, they are more beautiful.

"I don't really like thunderstorms..." She wouldn't relay the reason why, because it was partially embarrassing, and it was her own secret. Well, that, and she didn't like others to see or know too many weaknesses. "I wonder why it came so suddenly? I mean, it looked like it was going to be a clear night."
