Does Caine honestly need someone to gaurd him? He's more powerful than anything else in the material plane. He's stronger than any lupine and more powerful than any mage. Baba Yaga would cower before him. The proud Abismiliard would kneel before his might....
But why doesn't Caine reveal himself and become ruler of the world again?
I'd like to think that he works in fast food.

I think Caine has someone or something guarding for the same reason the Antideluvians would: just for securities sake. Seriously, have you ever thought what Caine's Ghoul would be like? It'd be the equivalent to an Antideluvian, except a mortal.

He's going to take his throne in Gehenna, and judge us all.

Actually, the most likely possibility is that he isn't in torpor at all. He's most likely drifting around, possibly posing as a Malkavian. It's doubtful that Caine would want to control the vampires; he probably is gilty as hell about killing Abel, among other things. I doubt God would let him sleep for hundreds of years.

True, but then again, he has to be hiding somewhere. If he were alive, don't you think he would start to route the vampies for breaking his rule of no more siring?

I read the first Gehenna book. It says that Caine might be posing as an elder and being led around by younger vampires to get into tthe technology.

Ok, having read the gehenna book, Caine is NOT the most powerful being on the material plane, yes, the baba yaga bowing thing, correct, beating down lupines, correct, more powerful than any mage, nope. In the Gehenna book, this is how it goes, Caine calls all vampires, judges, and then says ok cool, live in Gehenna now, and that is where he gets his a** handed to him by Lilith(excuse me if I miss spell it), who is like "You need to die Caine," and they fight, and then Lilith destroys Caine, and then turns the vampires that caine kept alive into mortals again, to live out the rest of what would have been their natural born lives.

Well actually me and my boyfriend talked about how to kill Caine. And he told me that God was punishing Caine with complete immorality, and the only want to kill him was to be diablorized. Because he can burn, but he can't die from it. And he has all the outputs of all the clans, except thaumaturgy and some assamitic sorcery.

Although, wasn't Caine given the mark, and then sent off into the world with no one able to harm him without suffering the wrath of God? I think I heard that somewhere, but I never actually read too much of the bible.

White wolf bible or actual one? Because in the actual Bible Caine was sent into the world after God had turned his back on him. So no God-like wrath happening there. The White Wolf version... I can't remember.

I talked to one of my professors after class one time cause she mentioned Cain and Abel. I was right. Cain was sent into the world after God turned His back on him, but the mark told everyone else not to touch him. It had something to do with vengance back in the day and how only God had the right to grant it.
