Well he had a spin off back in the 80s but it failed after 1 episode cos the critics or ratings or something
but then again with the new nifty image and as it will be an animation who knows what'll happen???

It's a neat-looking robot dog, but it really isn't K-9.
You don't fix what ain't broke, and this could be just like the time they invented "new Coke" or changed the shape of ketchup bottles. Marketing disasters on a grand scale!
So what if K-9 was funky-looking, and looked like a shopworn Scottie-dog toy? This new one looks more like it should be the sidekick for the new Marvin in Disney's version of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Cute? yes. Sleek and futuristic? Yes. More believable as something created originally centuries into the future? Yes, I suppose so. K-9? Never!
