((>_> Okay, no more of that. You post your actions, I post mine, you post your actions. Not I post my actions and then you post things that you were doing before I acted.))

The explosion is indeed huge, but it is also only momentary. The positron cannon plows through the other attack like it was paper thin, the very nature of the particle stream dragging the spiritual energy along with it. The attack goes off as planned, with the cone of destruction centered on his opponent.

As the smoke of the quick explosion clears, Ikibe can be seen. Completely unharmed and surrounded by the shimmer of a personal energy shield. As the rest of the energy disapates, the shield returns to its transparent state.

==================OOC NOTES!!!====================
Ikibetech Armor #1: Personal Forcefield; This full body shield is localized to Ikibe's form and runs on an internal power source. The frontline of Ikibian defensive technology, its stopping power is relative to the power source available to it.

((Technically, he was acting while your guy was acting.))

He didn't know if the ball would work or not. So as a fail safe plan, after shooting the ball he went into his annulment stance. That is, he raised his arms to cover his face as if to protect it while his legs continued to move. Unlike spme stances, this one could did not require specific placement of the legs. At this time, an orange glow surrounds his body and staff. Then the cannon hits dead on.

However, Dreslin is seen coming to a stop. Orange glow faded as he returned to standing still. Arms at rest at his sides, yet his staff remaining in his teeth. Nothing seems to have happened to his body while a slight sizzle mark is seen all over his clothing and staff. The stance did its job of almost nullifying the cannonfire.

Clearly in the heat of the battle the other man had forgotten that his foe had more than one weapon which he was currently using. Unless the glow stopped bullets as well as energy, the nano-pistol rounds would chew him apart the moment he stopped moving to block. Even then, when the glow faded, Ikibe would still be firing.

((I knew I was forgetting something. gonk Sorry for almost late post. Reallife stuff delayed post. ))

Just as the cannonfire was nullified, so too were the bullets. The pieces seen on the arena floor beside him. Any bullets that hit him while the glow was on ended up on the floor with next-to-no evidence that the bullet hit the clothing. As far as the glow fading when he started standing still and his opponent still firing, his body quickly did a flip to the side. The flip would be the kind in which the body would be spinning several times in the air while parallel to the ground. So as to minimize the chance of him being hit and luckily not get hit by them.

During the flipping, his staff was remaining in his teeth. Stray bullets that wouldn't have hit Dreslin anyways sometimes hit the staff, despite not needing to. The staff ended up redirecting them both upward and towards the ground. The staff itself being made of adamantium was revealed to being hard enough to block even these types of bullets.

When the flip ended, his body went into a different formation. His arms were parallel to the ground, yet outstretched out in front of him and in back. His body basically, within the same 'line' that his arms are forming. His leg formation consisted of his front leg under directly under his front arm, perpendicularly while facing in the same direction of the respective arm. His back leg a little bit distance in back of Dreslin. It was directly under his back arm, however it faced at a 90 degree angle instead. A light red glow surrounded Dreslin's body for entering into the hao'tien stance.
If his opponent was smart, he should think that possibly this had different capabilities than when Dreslin went into a different stance for the orange glow.

((No worries, take as much time as you like. Things have been pretty hectic here too.))

Ikibe calmly lowers his nanopistol and slings the positron cannon across his back over one shoulder by a strap. Weapons secure, he tucks his hands into his yukata's sleeves and waits patiently.

Just as quickly as the glow came, it faded when Dreslin saw the man change his tactic. The robed man started to approach Ikibe. Hands and arms in the same formation. Legs taking one step at a time. First the back leg moving to where the front leg is, then the front leg taking a step forward.

Ikibe waits.

One of his ears flick.

Hardly anything changed on Dreslin's end. Just the legs as they moved Dreslin's body slowly toward Ikibe.

Ikibe's cannon chimes cheerfully to signal its return to full strength. Instead of flipping it back up onto his shoulder Ikibe simply rolls the cannon around to his front, angled down and slightly forwards.

Again, half a second's charge time followed by a massive conical blast.

But this time is different. He wasn't aiming directly at Dreslin. Instead, he fires the blast straight into the ground. (Though if Dreslin doesn't move it is likely the upper edge of the cone will take him in the ankles)

The whole arena shakes as Ikibe uses his powerful weapon as an earthmover of sorts, wiping out the grond they were standing on.

When the dust and the blue energy clears, Ikibe stands as calmly as ever floating in the exact same spot as he had been standing through the entire round.

((There is no longer any ground inside the arena above thirty some odd feet below where it was originally.))

The chime signaled that the cannon was ready and more than likely it was going to be used again. He returned back into the positioning for his hao'tien stance. A light red glow surrounded his body as his opponent aimed downwards toward the arena. Giving away what he would do. With the glow now surrounding his body his point of view changed in a way. Everything seemed to move slower than it did. Around 1/5th to what it normally did from how he saw things.

The charge time had started and what looks to be Dreslin can be seen speedily running like The Flash from where he was to Ikibe. On the ground can be seen a sorta dust trail from something speeding over it. Showing proof that Dreslin did not phase or of the like. The cannon fired; however, the area of aiming was not the ground. Rather it was straight up in the air. Ikibe was on one side of the cannon. Dreslin can be seen with on the other side with both hands having lifted the cannon and changed its direction of fire, staff in teeth still. The cannon itself was pointed straight up as if perfectly perpendicular to the ground with the firing end pointing up.

The glow faded while a smile was seen on his face. Not a general smile, mind you. It was the kind of smile that a tyrant would show to his subjects that would strike fear into their hearts. Wondering just what is their master thinking.

((Forgive me. I can be poor at wording stuff sometimes.))

As clearly as Dreslin obviously thought trying to move Ikibe would work, anyone familiar with the ways things worked would laugh at such an attempt.

The moment Dreslin's hand reaches to touch the cannon, the previously mentioned forcefield would spring into effect and block his hand. Not only would it stop him, but it would also react... violently.

The electrical discharge would be powerful enough to fry a normal man to cinder, and would likely be strong enough to blast Dreslin across the arena.

Ikibe's attack goes off like previously mentioned.

Dreslin was shocked due to the forcefield. However, it would seem like he isn't affected at all. This would be thanks due to his robe being insulated. Allowing protection against electricity to a certain degree. At the moment of impact, Dreslin's hand curved to suit the forcefield's area of existence, like when how a hand might curve in areas to help grasp a perfectly round ball. This would mean that the forcefield was circular in nature.

Since the forcefield stopped him before reaching the cannon, this meant that the hao'tien stance effect was still in effect. He made use of it to go into a quick sitting with his feet outstretched as far as he could under the forcefield's area of effect and raised a little to activate the discharge. His hands traveled along the forcefield to cover his face as if to protect it. Turning off his hao'tien stance and turning on his annulment stance. And Orange glow surrounded his body as the cannonfire hit his legs.

The effect? The arena floor spared while the cannonfire was blocked by the legs. The aftereffects leaving more of a sizzle mark in that area than from the first cannonfire mark, but it did it's job.

Of course, now came a very good question, how would the cannonfire react to the discharge on the shield. Since, at the area in question was pretty active at the time of cannonfire versus the first time the cannon was fired. Possibilities could include ******** up the shield, a little new explosion from the cannonfire hitting the shield and the feet with smoke rising etc. We shall see.

Also, not to mention the possible power drain from the shield's source that is currently going on from the shield is still constantly active through all this. When the discharge seemed to be meant for impact-to-knockback reasons and not impact-to-keptactive reason.

If Dreslin had been observing Ikibe's face, he may have seen that completely emotionless mask slip for a moment. For half a second, Ikibe smiles.

Then his foot leaves the ground, arcing upwards as Ikibe lunges outwards to smash it into Dreslin's face. If he noticed the smile, the kick would be completely unseen. And if Dreslin took the kick dead on the chin, best case (for Dreslin) was it snapping the man's neck like a twig. If the other man couldn't raise his defenses in time the sheer force behind the kick would pulp his skull and continue right through. Even if he dodged, the shockwave-like backwash from the attack would be harmful as well.

Block or not, before that one second finishes Ikibe moves. A blur would be the best any mortal could be expected to see as the cat-eared man distances himself from his opponent.

"So..."

Ikibe speaks, a rich baritone still loaded with contempt.

"You can think after all, excellent. Now lets see if you can actually fight."

With that he tears off the sleeve of his yukata covering the left shoulder. On it, the brilliant steel colored brand of a warhammer backed by a gear. Even as you watch the teeth of the gear begin to move, slowly at first, then faster, until they become a blur and the entire icon glows with golden light. The eerie thing is, the entire brand seems to be moving under his flesh. Ikibe stretches out the fingers on his right hand and lets the joints pop loudly while he floats.

"This is the first God Seal, mortal, no more playing around."

----------------------------------Effects Notes------------------------------------
Dreslin's body should indeed stop the cannon fire. He would now be standing on the single remaining area of the arena proper above 30 feet. A strip of land as wide as he is and spanning a bit more than half the arena.

The shield and the cannon worked perfectly in conjunction, likely because they were on proper energy patterns to cooperate or ignore one another or because they shield didn't prevent things from escaping inside, much like a living membrane.

Of note, if Dreslin was still alive and in contact with the shield, for a moment he would still feel it even though Ikibe wasn't there.

The cannon has three turns until it is ready to fire again.

Whomever this guy was, apparently he had forgotten that the annulment stance was still in effect. A kick of this nature would have the kick be fully straightened out to avoid fumbling with the hands/arms. Dreslin noticed the kick coming and did a couple of things as the kick rose. His annulment stance was kept active on his body, however it was quickly turned off on his staff. While doing this, he quickly moved his head to his right a few inches and lowered it a bit.

The effect? The kick didn't hit any part of the face, but rather the staff. Where the head formerly was. Normally, this would just be a normal block. However, this very happening would matter very much to Ikibe. For the staff it made of adamantium, known to be one of the hardest metals in fiction. The annulment stance ability was turned off the staff, which meant that anything that hit the staff would not have damage reduced by the ability. The damage would have to be dealt with the staff itself. In the force behind the kick versus the hardness of the staff, Ikibe stands a pretty good chance of having broken his own bare foot, if not several fractures within the bone. The kick would be stopped midflight due to not getting past the staff. The shockwave-like backwash from the kick prior to hitting the staff would be canceled out by the annulment stance still affecting Dreslin's body.

The staff would normally have moved a bit from the force of the kick and would normally ******** up Dreslin's teeth from holding the teeth. However the annulment stance, would keep his teeth from being damaged.

The rest of Ikibe's does not happen because Ikibe might wind of doing something en lieu of his now apparent ******** up bare foot.
