I remember, in Silent Hill 4, there's this part in the hospital you visit where there is a giant woman's head and her eyes are rolling around. I screamed out loud when I saw that part. My parents yelled at me the next day (it was around 3 AM). Buut that hospital was pretty short and rather lame in the scare department compared to Silent Hill 3 and it's creepy letters to Heather (main character). eek

lol First time I played the origional SH the radio I had at the time kept doing that staticy thing at the same time as the game did it. I nearly jumped outta my skin was pretty funny.

if that would to happen to be i'd run out my room screaming like a made women and hittting stuff in my way... but that might be why i got this reistrant order on me >.> hmm

roflmao, well kept myself from doing that but the wall did develop a few more dents and I went through about 3 controllers...

Silent Hill is better for people interested in the subtle scary, plot, and so forth. Resident Evil is for the "Pop out and get you!" scary and action fans. Just my thoughts. I prefer Silent Hill. (And Parasite Eve heart )

Well...I dont like eather. There is a new game coming out from camcom called "Hunting ground". This unlike the games above dose Not have terrable camra angles and hard to handle players. From the reveiws I have read It is a very playable game inwhitch you have a chose to fight back. In the game you dont have much wepons, but when has a knife or handgun ever worked on zombies in the past?...anyway, while playing the game you can hide from the zombies. You are not forsed to try to kill the unkillable creatures. You also have a pet (dog) Whitch you also have the chose to lose or keep in the future. If you scold the dog tomuch it will grow to hate you and will leave your side so..If you get this game be nice!
Also Hunting ground has amazing graphics. ( its always gets better with camcom) So please dont be turned off if you see it as " just another camcom game" This is much more...

To answer the question...I like resdent evil..even though (in my eyes) Its not that playable.

I like silent hill better. It has more of a creepiness factor that I really like. Resident evil is still good though. I just don't find it to be as scary as silent hill.

It's hard to choose. Some REs are better and some SHs are better. They both really rock my socks and scare me senseless

Sounds like fun... if it's by campcom, I assume it'll be for PS2, right?

If you're talking Resident Evil 4 VS Silent Hill 4, there IS no competition.

Silent Hill 4 was minorly creepy for a few minutes, then it got extremely boring. Repetitive, lame, dull. Resident Evil 4 however, kept my living room filled with six people on the edge of their seats, screaming and jumping, yelling and having a blast for the whole game.

I've also played Resident Evil the first one for GameCube, nothing makes my skin crawl more. The no option camera angles where you can't see what's comming, the freaky groaning comming from the zombies, the limited bullets, the Crimson Heads, the girl with four faces and the choice of who to play makes it an awsome game. The only other Resident Evil I played wasn't Zero, I don't think, but it had the train, and it was sooooo freaky.

I have resident evil on game cube..I'm sure it will be for gamecube..but they may comeout with a ps2 verson.

I've just rented Obscure for the PS2, I'm not playing it yet though, not until my boyfriend gets home. It looks really creepy biggrin

I have to say Silent Hill, the only games I ever played with the lights off and almost wet the bed >.> but the new RE4 is the best I heard, I don;t have a gamecube, so I can;t say though. Silent Hill 3 is one of my favorite games though, so I have to say Silent Hill is much better in my book ^_^
