Sakran The thing is, many people who have profile shops are not using avatar art. They are using anime/other pictures and making something out of it for profit which is against the ToS. I always ask the artist (I recently asked Range Murata ^^) and they all say yes because it's not for real money. Gaia Gold profit is not real profit.

definatly easy.. i've been working on getting a few profiles up so i can start selling them as premade and start taking orders to... i just need to find the time sweatdrop

[_  _] If braincells were like a box of chocolates...I wouldn't say it's necessarily an "easy" way to "get rich quick".
I spend hours on my profiles, mainly because I have a tendency to be a perfectionist.
But like... I put a lot of hard work, time, and effort into the coding and the graphics, so it is fairly time consuming.
It's hard, too - when I first started, I knew nothing about CSS, save for how to change the font colors (and even that I really didn't know a lot about).
I had to teach myself everything I know - practice, and try again.
I had to take sometimes harsh critism from friends and others I don't know (and I'm not always good with critism), just so I could try to improve and learn.
It's been a hard road to follow, but I'm doing pretty darn good now.
And even still, I'm afraid of overcharging people so that they won't buy, and I end up with an average of 7k (about) per profile. :/
So, feh.
I don't find it easy, and nor am I really "getting rich quick". ... There must be some missing. [_ _]

I charge 8k-17k for the profiles that I make, depending on the style. It certainly seems like I've gotten rich quick, but I've had two people tip me quite generously. I went from 20k to 120k in two or three days.
Since I'm good with CSS and graphics, it's easy for me, so I guess it could be considered a get rich quick type of thing.

Maybe I'll open a shop to extort the lazy once I'm done with my own profile, and if people still haven't figured out to use the tutorials. It's kind of weird though, I had no previous knowledge of CSS until I decided I wanted to make my own profile. Basically these people are paying 10k and up for someone else to copy and paste. And just another question since you own a shop: do you make the graphics too? Or does the buyer supply them? I don't own a shop yet, just two people pmed me, but anyway, I told them I supply simple ones made on photoshop and ones that are free on the internet but avi art they want in must be supplied by them. how do you make the profiles on photoshop

Customers seem so oblivious on what they are doing. They come in, supply images, tell me all the colors and locations, and they leave; and leave like 10k domokun
I became interested in CSS coding because I was working on one of my own profiles a few months ago, and I had all the graphics but then I needed someone to code it, the prices were very high, so I just ended up digging through Google tutorials and then ended up interested in the whole thing.

I buy profiles as a way of expressing my appreciation for labor. I've got enough gold to give some of it away to promote the prosperity of the "hard working Gaians" and their posterity... blah blah blah.
Anyhow I actually came here because SP!FFY posted, and I wanted to say that his/her sig makes me happy inside, and the Poker Petition in their sig is a good (and much discussed) idea, but the link is broken.

Amira K Well, I do agree with you that it is an easy way to get rich. I don't have a shop or anything, but one person PMed me offering me 10k to make her a profile. I still don't understand why there are all these people paying for profiles, even through there are a bunch of tutorials around for free use. well maybe not all people have the time and the mood for reading tutorials or do profiles by themself
