Well Gaara has more of a reason to be Kazekage I guess because he wants to protect people to prove to them that hes not just a monster. I luv Kankuro, but he doesnt really have the same reason to be Kazekage like gaara.

W e n d e l l I would love Temari as the Kazekage~
Unfortunately, sand demon sounds so much more appealing than a fan.
=_____=;; So treu, its better then a puppet too....

Gaara is stronger and he was the former Kazekage's son, that pretty much gives him the right to be Kazekage

Well, kazekage goes to the strongest in the villaga. kankuro doesn't stand a chance against gaara. And even then, gaara has changed as far as his way of thinking. He actually cares about his friends. Naruto changed him...

Because, Gaara was once feared in the Village and now is the Kazakage. It shows he actually worked to CARE, and that he's just plain kickass. 'Cause the kage is always the strongest. So yea for Gaara bein' Kazekage. (and he looks hot in the Kazakage outfit. heart )

The kage of each village is the strongest ninja. I'm pretty sure that Gaara is the strongest ninja in the Sand Village. Even if Kankuro was chosen, he would have refused it since he knew Gaara wanted that position.
