It doesn't take a genius to figure out what's going on when Rhine puts the sandwich in his mouth and even just barely begins to move his arms. The idea, while interesting, may not be so easy with a sandwich- so it's lucky that Rhine cut it into pieces, Jasmine thinks. She opens her mouth when the sandwich is close enough, laughing quietly at Rhine's comment before actually biting the sandwich. However, she doesn't move before Rhine, and makes a point of being slower~

Rhine purred and took her hand, he led her to sit down. Once she was sitting he pushed the chair in.

Then he took a seat himself. "Did you read what was in that diary?"

Rhine picked up a piece of his sandwich and took a bite.

With a laugh, Jasmine settles herself into the chair Rhine leads her to. She watches with bright eyes as Rhine takes the seat opposite her, and tilts her head a bit when he asks if she read his diary. Her expression is a mix of curiousity and playfulness.

"No, I didn't read it," she replies, "Should I, though? Are you keeping secrets from me, Rhine?" Her tone suggests the idea is laughable, and she wears a smile to match. Even if he was, she wouldn't want him to read her diary (though she kept nothing of true interest in it), so she wouldn't just read his.

Though, of course, she'd have been tempted if she'd been sitting in the room alone to long.

"There is always something I cannot say. For lack of courage, or not wanting a smack in the face." Rhine had a twinkle in his eye. "I left the book in your hands didn't I? I could have easily taken it with me."

He took another bite of his sandwich. "My sister, Tinker, crafted its safety box so that only I can open it. How it came open in packing I haven't the slightest." Rhine held the front well enough to give little suspicion that there was something written in the diary that could be considered scandalous.

He stretched, and watched her. "I trust you with my life, therefor, I trust you with my diary, my mind. Reckless as it may be. I'd, however, not leave it laying around for anyone else." Little did he know that Cassara had already gotten a hold of the diary, and read bits of it.

Jasmine's expression remains constant amusement while he speaks, though she finds it quite amusing that he may deserve a slap, and notes he has an excellent point about him having left it with her. It's a nice sign of trust, actually- especially considering how much every other emotion has come out rather quickly.

She finally picks up her sandwich and takes a bite, still listening to him. By the end of his speech, she doesn't want to open the diary any more, though she feels good that he trusts her so much. Though the only comment to suggest she should want to read it, about getting a smack in the face, does stick to her mind a little bit- mostly because of it's humorous quality.

"Well, I'm sure I'd trust you with my diary," she replies, laughing, "Though I don't think mine has anything really interesting written in it. With all your sisters, I'd have thought you'd have gone through at least one experience where one of them got a hold of it.."

"I've only got one nosey sister, and that is Cassara. The rest have lives to live." Rhine mused on something. "Although, I'm sure between us all we could have a party and exchange stories and get a good laugh."

Rhine paused. "I'm sure there is one interesting thing it. Like the time when you came home in coat." His eyes twinkled, and he finished his sandwhich. "Or, perhaps two, if it makes it into your diary."

Rhine stood up, and took his plate to the sink. He ran some hot water, and soap. He then turned and watched her.

Jasmine laughs at his comment on Cassara, even more eager now to meet her. She takes another bite of her sandwich, watching as Rhine gets up and takes his plate to the sink. She would mimic him, if she finished her sandwich at the same time.

"I don't know," Jasmine comments, "But everything with you does make for interesting writing. I don't know how you'll top them on my birthday."

She grins, having waited awhile to find a way to bring it up. Rhine is definetely somehow who should know when her birthday is, and it's funny that this visit and what's happened has come so close to that day.

"But it's so close, this could actually count," Jasmine says with a quiet laugh, glancing at her new ring, and then she takes another bite of her sandwich.

Rhine leaned on the counter, elbows propped, watching her. "Birthdays are important."

His eyes twinkled. "Name it Flower, anything it's yours." Rhine said it easily, but he knew something he couldn't give her was his virginity (if doing a guy counted, then his was lost). But didn't think that she'd ask for a such a thing (he hoped).

"We could aways go to the little chapel a couple blocks down, and elope." Rhine laughed, as it was meant to be a joke (however, he was random enough to do such a thing).

Rhine paused. "Just, please, don't ask me to play my violin. I'd rather climb another mountain..." He winced.

(Flower, is the nick name he used for her. ^^' Bout time he picked a pet name...)

( aw XD )

Jasmine turns her chair around to keep her eyes on him, bringing her plate with her as she does so she can continue to eat the wonderful meal that Rhine prepared for her. She smiles brightly, pleased to hear that birthdays are important and he'd get (or do) anything for her.

Swallowing a bite of sandwich, and though she does note the new pet name he's chosen for her, she doesn't get to comment before Rhine's little joke about eloping. She shakes her head a second before joining in the laughter. Despite knowing that he's joking, she can't help but feel that'd be the easiest way for that to happen- or maybe the only way to guaruntee life until then..

"No violin?" she asks after calming down, doing her best to sound disappointed. The tone isn't all fake, for she certainly would like to hear him play eventually- but only if she's sure it won't make her go deaf. And she isn't sure about that yet.

"Well, I certainly don't know what to ask for if the violin is out of the question!" she grins, "And I wasn't kidding when I said this would be hard to top. You'll just have to surprise me~"
PostPosted: Tue Jun 13, 2006 4:43 pm

Rhine stretched, and then washed up the plates. "Flower, likes surprises?" He purrs. "Then a surprise you shall receive on your birthday." A twinkle comes back to his eyes.

Once the dishes are finished up, Rhine walks to his bed room and retrieves the violin. "But first, I'll grant you this." He could hear it in her voice of what she wanted, and the way she looked when she said out of the question.

Rhine took out the violin from its case. Carrying no sheet music, he stood almost perfectly poised. Violin in place, bow at the ready. He felt positively stupid, and hot in the cheeks. He closed his eyes, almost choked. He could hardly play for his mother, or his sisters; now he was trying to play for Jasmine.

His hand shook as he ran the bow over the violin. He was remembering the lessons from his mother, and his sisters. Especially Ayisha, she played the best love songs of them all. From the heart he repeated to himself, from the heart.

Deep breathes, it took what felt like ages to make the first note. But one soon became two, three, and so on. He had closed his eyes forgetting almost everything except two lovers dancing in the nights sky. Twinkling stars, and exhausted moments. He let his song reflect his thoughts, and his heart.

Hoping despite wavering notes that it pleased her. He stopped slowly, his finishing note was not even close to perfect. Made it almost appear that they had gone spiraling down a mountain or something close to the effect.

He dropped his arms to his side, the violin and bow clenched in his hands. Affraid to open his eyes, affriad it sucked even worse than normal.

"Oh, doesn't everyone like surprises?" she winks, finishing her sandwich and finally taking her plate over to be washed with his, "My birthday is Saturday, so you don't have long," she warns him, her tone a playful mock-serious that suggests she isn't actually trying to rush him, just inform him of the date. Then she makes sure to clean her own plate.

"Oh?" she murmurs curiously while drying her plate, watching him go and get the violin case. Her eyes brighten when she sees what he's doing, and she sets down her dishes- which are now clean and dry- to watch him.

She stands with her arms crossed, several feet away from him, waiting for the music to play for what even to her seems like awhile, for anticipation is not a fan of waiting. Jasmine smiles when Rhine finally makes the first note, and moves into a lovely song. While she can recognize the song is not great, she finds it lovely, having not heard it before for comparison to how it should sound in any case. And she can appreciate the effort and nerve it takes for Rhine to play.

Jasmine moves slowly towards Rhine as he plays, and by the time he's finished and drops his arms to his side, she's standing a very short distance from her. She smiles when Rhine keeps his eyes closed, with a rather adorable uncertain look on his face. She isn't sure he realizes that she's moved closer, but she leans in and gently kisses him.

"That was lovely," she beams, now watching his eyes for them to open. When unable to be constructively critical, the best thing to be is supportive, so that's the route she takes- and it's not a lie, for she certainly liked it.

Feeling her lips, his eyes flutter open. "Thank...You" It was stuttered out. He wasn't expecting it to be called lovely, but it flattered him. He smiled.

Rhine put the violin back into its case. He was still startling hot, and feeling sticky from sweating. Being nervous was a difficult thing.

Rhine took Jasmine's hand. "Flower, what would you like to do with the rest of this afternoon? Or is your mother expecting you back early?" He paused. "If she is expecting you back early, I can walk you home." He'd hoped she wasn't expected home anytime soon, but non the less the offer stood.

She grins at him, even after his eyes open. There's no hint of sarcasm in her voice or expression, should he search for it. Jasmine steps back again to make sure he has room to put his violin away, and this gives her a chance to really see the effects of adrenaline wearing off. If Rhine's nervousness wasn't evident in his pause before playing or how he played, it shows now.

"My mother isn't expecting me," she replies thoughtfully, "If I should leave depends on how many questions I want to get, or how much trust I think she has in me."

She glances to the door, still looking thoughtful.

"What do you think we should do?" she smiles at Rhine.

Rhine lets her hand go with a smile, and takes the dish cloth from the sink making sure it is near to sopping wet. Then wipes his face, back of his neck, and hands off. He rinses it, and runs it through his hair. Oddly, it looks more like taking a bath than just wiping sweat off. He snorts towards the floor.

"I am going through at least four showers a day." He paused realizing how that must have sounded. But decided to save them from a lengthy tutorial of how his body worked.

He emptied the sink, and took the towel to the dirty clothes. When he came back, he was strangely almost dry again.

He looked to Jasmine. "Lets surprise your mother by an early homecoming. Although, as long as you've been here she'll still say we had time to cause havoc even if we only ate lunch." Rhine rolled his eyes.

He blew out the candles, and opened the curtains. "Flower, you want to go by mirror, or by legs?" He paused. "Although it might not be a good thing if we ended up in your bathroom..." He snickered.

Jasmine leans on the counter and watches as Rhine wipes himself off, not bothering to worry about privacy or seeming rude. She gives her hair a shake, playing with one piece hanging beside her face while she waits for him to finish.

"Four?" she looks at him with a raised eyebrow, her expression still amused. It seems almost anything they could talk about would be pleasing to this dragon. She stays against the sink while he changes, and even after he comes back.

"Oh, I bet she'll be surprised I come home of my own choice," she grins, "You're right, though. I'm sure she'll interrogate me again even for this little bit of time."

She looks around the apartment when he asks if she wants to walk or use the mirror, and at his next comment she looks back at him with sparkling eyes and a grin on her face.

"Oh, I don't think we should do that," she laughs, "You're lucky I've been the first one to the bathroom whenever you leave mail, and that no one was in there when you did. That's something we need to discuss!" She stands up straight, off of the counter, putting her hands on her hips.

"Now that you live here, I want your address so I can send you notes and replies instead of just waiting for you to call back about yours," she says firmly with a nod, "and I'll give you my address so you can do the same, or I'll put a mirror in my room."

Her mind went completely off topic of leaving for a moment, for this is something she's been meaning to talk to him about.
