Ahhhh! Finally the noise stopped, except for the sounds coming from her own mouth. Ina was able to calm it down to a hic-uping sniffle as she was lifted up by someone she didn't know. Who waaas this lady? It wasn't mommy! She wanted mommy now! Somehow being upset always led to wanting Mommy, even if it had nothing to do with her.
Torn between being a naughty, rebelious girl or a goody-goody...she decided to pout and look adorable instead. Well, not so much decided...it just kinda happened. Her eyes looked confused and dismayed as her mouth formed into a long, sulking frown as she lifted her purple hands to hold in front of her face, her ears pulled back. Yet looking cute and sad probably would do nothing on this woman.

Children...she hated children.
Babies did nothing, Toddlers were whiny, Children were annoying - and teenagers...Teenagers were sacks of flesh infected with rampant hormones and covered in zits.
How much fun she would have when they got old enough to teach!
Mommy, hm? Well, at least those two imbeciles she worked with had gotten guardians for them. There was one concern gone, though now came the more pressing concern of how to locate their guardians to shove them off on them.
"Do you know where your guardians are?"
If not...she was dumping them on someone. Dacian or Hadrian, it didn't matter - probably Hadrian, because at least she knew where he was. He never left his labs, after all.

"Gardyen?" Gavin mimicked, failing miserably. What was a gardyen? He wanted his Mommee, not a gardyen! And if he didn't get what he wanted soon, he'd have to start crying again.
He looked over toward Ina, noticing the cute and sad strategy. Not knowing quite what to do with himself, he tried the same. Seeing that he probably wasn't going to get his way, he figured he should voice his needs once again.
"Want Mommee!" he said, using that stubborn voice that comes standard with most toddlers. He pouted and attempted to cross his arms. She was still holding him too tightly, and she was squishing his softies.

Somehow Ina could tell this lady didn't like them. She didn't know how...she could just feel it. Like when cats can tell there is a dog lover around. So she pouted even more, jutting out her bottom lip. She didn't like this lady...she wanted mommy! Her ears flattened even more and she lost her posture. She wanted down too!
Suddenly her ears perked as someone came rushing down the path. It was mommy! With a cry of delight she began to squirm, trying to get away so she could get to her, "Mommy! Mommy!!"
Ari had noticed that Ina had gone missing rather quickly and had gone off to find her. When the screams had come it had been far easier to do, but it had also sent her into fits of worry. The worst came to mind and she had started running toward the sound. Now that she was here she felt so much better, seeing Ina was in one piece, "Oh Ina! Thank goodness!"

At seeing the other woman approach, and how the toddler reacted to her, it was with relief - though not visible - that Ahneta handed her over to her.
"You're her guardian?" Her eyes narrowed, the irritation became even more visible.
"I hope you know who this ones is. These two squawling away, and no guardian in sight..."
Though really, they might not have even been crying for very long before she arrived; she'd only walked in through the front gates a little bit ago, after all. Even so - to her, it stank of irresponsibility to allow toddlers on their own.
She completely ignored the possibility of them sneaking away, of course.
And the fact that Ari likely had no idea who she was.

Who were all these people?! Gavin was becoming more and more distressed by the second. He fidgeted harder in the lady's arm. Apparently these people couldn't understand his demands. Didn't they understand that "Mommee" meant something?
But no, they continued talking, ignoring the fact that he was Mommee-less. His softies were hurting too. As he fidgeted he attempted shifting to get at least one of them loose. Though he gave up on letting all of them know who he wanted, he wasn't about to back down from letting them know that he was upset.
The lady was obviously wasn't phased by screaming, which she proved earlier. Therefore he tried the next best thing. Better put those newly formed baby teeth to good use. He bit down on whatever was closest, he didn't bother looking. Maybe that would get their attention.

"Yes, I'm Inanna's guardian," Ari nodded, looking rather figity and nervous. She was never good around people as sharp as this woman. Why? Well...by nature she hated doing anything the wrong way and people like this always made her feel like she was doing everything wrong. All wrong. This was far from being an exception, with the way this woman looked at her with irratation.
Ina was squirming about and trying to wag her tail as she tried to get free. Her tail only managed to...well flop into this strange lady's arm instead. Really bad place to be, especially when Gavin decided he was going to test out his teeth. She yelped as her tail was biten, being in front of the nice targeted flesh of the lady's arm, and began to cry again. This time it wasn't so much a scream more...a sad, yet cute dismayed cry.
Noticing the new problem Ari quickly took Ina off Ahneta's hands, "Shhhh, oh hun, it's ok..." She spared at glance at the woman, still looking a little off, but concerned, "I don't know who he belongs to but...I could take him and look if you like." Somehow she got the impression Ahneta didn't like children. Or people.

Happily, Ahneta handed the crying toddler off to Ari. Screaming, crying - it was all the same in her book. And as for the other one...she had a feeling he'd be more of a problem. At least the girl hadn't tried to bite anyone around her.
She'd rather not be feasted upon by little toddler teeth.
So really, it didn't take long for her to come to decision about Ari's offer.
"That would be good. I have a feeling he doesn't like me."
And it was mutual.
"I'm Ahneta, by the way," She handed Gavin off to Ari as well, with satisfaction that she easily hid.

His mouth was surprisingly filled with fur instead of skin. Hearing Ina's cry he let go immediately. That wasn't what he had planned! He reached out his arm to pat her tail softly to gesture an apology, but the way the lady was holding him made that fairly difficult. Everything was this lady's fault today.
And then he was handed off to this new lady. Hadn't he already established that this wasn't his Mommee?! By now he was all cried out, and his mouth felt weird from biting fuzz. He didn't squirm, but instead pouted with an annoyed expression in his eyes. He wanted his Mommee, and somehow he'd figure out how to get back to her.

Ari took Gavin awkwardly, having to shift Ina slightly so she could balance to the two toddlers. It was an odd sight to be sure, for Ari was a very short statured woman. Ina was clinging to her though and still crying into her shoulder slightly, so she was able to focus her hold more onto the toddler with wings.
"Ahh, it's v-very nice to meet you!" Ari replied with a sheepish smile. Again, she didn't do so well with such strong minded people sometimes. She gave Gavin a soft look, "Shhh, shhhh, it's ok Honey. We'll get you to your mommy or daddy. Don't worry." She looked back at Ahneta, "I should...probably be off to see if I can find his guardian...unless you have an idea where he or she might be."

"If you can't find them...track down one of those idiots I work with. They should know."
And with that - Ahneta was done. This mage had work still to do...get re-settled in, find out what messes had been made in her absence, figure out if they had been able to handle finances properly...
The work of an over achieving perfectionist was never done.
So, she made her way towards a different building, without a second glance back at the woman and the toddlers. Well, she had certainly made an interesting first impression after her return...

At least this new lady was nicer than the other one. She didn't squish his softies when she held him. In fact, she was a lot like his Mommee. Taking a quick look at Ina, he figured that this must be her Mommee. Dang, now he really wanted his own. Very briefly he stuck his tongue out at the first lady who left without looking back. He hoped he never saw her again.
Taking in his current surroundings, he searched for the building where Mommee should be. There it is! Near the bushes and the flowers and all the other bright, colorful things. He reached out toward that building, hoping maybe Ina's Mommee would take him there.
"Mommee there!"

Ari watched Ahneta go with a confused and slightly bewildered look. Well, she obviously had no second thoughts about leaving Gavin with her. Oh well. When Gavin spoke and pointed she quickly smiled down at him and followed his gaze, "Oh? Your mommy is there? Well, lets go see, shall we?" Her voice was sweet and smooth and genuine. It was very different from Ahneta's hard, stern voice.
Ina even seemed to be calming down just because her Mommy was there. She had stopped crying and was meerly sniffling now, pulling herself up slightly so she could look around a little as Ari headed to the building Gavin had pointed to.

Yes, mission accomplished! She was taking him toward Mommee. Gavin smiled, too tired to be angry, annoyed, or sad anymore. He flapped his softies in excitement. That and if they walked through the colorful place he'd get to smell all the flowers again.
On the other end of the gardens, nearer to the building, Remi was running around frantically. "Where'd he go? Where'd he go?! Where'd he GO?!"
Geez, she falls asleep for thirty minutes and Gavin decides to become an escape artist. Didn't baby birds not leave the metaphorical nest for weeks?! Remi's mind was in chaos, thinking of how many different ways her son could have hurt himself. What if he fell down the stairs? Ran into a pole? Or got eaten by some magically enhanced foliage?
By this time she was running in circles through the gardens. Luckily Dacian wasn't there, or else she'd have to explain why she was running all over the place. And that probably wouldn't turn out too well.
Back with Ari, Gavin noticed the frantic running figure. Blonde hair? Mommee! Though he didn't have enough energy to yell like before, he reached out for her, "Mommee!"
Maybe Ina's Mommee would get the hint.

Ari watched as Gavin reached out and looked to see a woman running around frantically. Perhaps she was looking for her little one? She knew she'd be running around too...or had been when she was looking for Ina. She called out uncertainly, hoping it was the right person, "Excuse me! Are you missing someone?" She walked toward Remi, but failed to run, since it seemed rather hard to carry the two as it was.
Ina's ears twitched and she twisted around slightly so she could see. Ohhh, so this was Gavin's mommie? Why was she running? Was she playing a game? She wanted to play!
