takashi riverze 2000 Actually, for those of you who think emo-ness is a phase, well, emo is short for emotional, and most people that are emo (exept the wannabe's, and there are a LOT) have depression, and will have meds for it, and be that way for all their life. So they dress how they feel, and they cut, (which I DO NOT support) to releive stress.
But yeah, sorry 'bout that, just wanted to mention it. but if depression wasn't a phase then people wouldn't call it a depression it'd be a permanent mood change

Then you may not know, but its due to a chemicle imbalence in the brain, that you are born with and will be there to stay. Also, yes, some people do only have it as a phase, because they're just victims of circumstance. But as for the medical condition, its life long. Some people have drugs to help them with it though. Trust me, they dont give out drugs for phases. Thats why I dont take drugs. I'm going through depression, but only because I have a reason, not because of an imbalence in my chemicals, therfore, I dont need meds. And for me, it may be a phase. But for a lot of people with the problems, it may never go away.
