(August 24, 2004)Neko slowly opened the front door a crack, peering inside the dark house. Good...Domonic didn't seem to be up yet, since all the windows were still closed. Opening the door enough to slip through, the demon hanyou looked to the baby in his arms as he quietly closed the door behind him, turning to start up the stairs. No sooner had he turned, however, did the blonde man catch him in his arms, his hands grasping at the other's arms. Neko looked up a little bit, his ears drawing back as he noticed a bit of a glare in Domonic's blue eyes. "I don't care what you say, I'm keeping him," he frowned, his tail flicking a little bit. "Besides...he's just a baby. You can't expect me to not give him a home." Domonic released the demon, glancing down at the child he was referring to. Demare narrowed his bi-colored eyes at the man, his arms still crossed over his chest. His wings twitched a little bit, wary of the human. Why was he looking at him like that...? HE wasn't the one that looked first...stupid human. "Why?" Domonic finally asked, just as wary of the child as he was of him. It was rather obvious that he felt Neko brought home too many creatures to care for. "Why him? Or rather, why were you chosen to care for him?" "Because I chose to?" Neko sighed, cradling the baby in his arms a little bit. "He didn't exactly have a home, so I thought I'd give him one." Turning around, the demon hanyou headed toward the couch instead, taking a seat and leaning against the back. He looked down at Demare, only to see the baby legend roll his eyes and look off to the side, continuing to pout. His little fingers tugged at his bandages a little bit, pulling on the loose ends as his wings fidgeted again. Stupid humans...they didn't know anything. First they gave him to some stranger who claimed to now be his guardian, and how he'd been brought to some cheery home. Caves would have been nicer...true darkness. Demare's large eyes narrowed further into little black and white slits, glaring at the wall. He just wanted to scream... The baby's eyes suddenly shot wide open as something seemed to snap within his mind. Demare looked up to his guardian with fearful eyes, rather scared all of a sudden. What was he thinking?? This man had said he'd take care of him...so why did he want to be such a burden to him? Carefully turning in Neko's arms, he cuddled close to the man, closing his eyes as his tiny form curled up a little bit. Sleep would be a good thing right now...perhaps after sleeping, the bad thoughts would go away. ...And maybe things would look a little brighter. Neko blinked his gold eyes a few times, a bit surprised by the child suddenly clinging lightly to his shirt. Shifting his arms enough to hold the baby a bit more protectively, he tilted his head a bit curiously as his tail thumped lightly against the couch once. "Domonic...I can't turn back now," he said softly, looking over his shoulder after a moment. Domonic had moved to stand behind the couch, watching the baby's actions. "This is the closest I can get to having a child of my own...I'm not about to turn my back on him." Domonic sighed softly, leaning over the back of the couch a little bit. He didn't agree to this...something just wasn't quite right. However...he didn't want to upset his partner. After a moment of looking at the sleeping Demare, he turned his head and planted a light kiss on Neko's forehead. "Then, I suppose I'll have to help out," he said quietly, kneeling down on the floor and folding his arms against the couch. Neko smiled and looked back to the baby in his arms. "Welcome to the family, Demare."

(August 25, 2004)Demare sighed lightly against Neko's shoulder as the demon hanyou scanned through the kitchen, wondering what the baby might be able to eat. He didn't exactly know what small children ate, never remembering his own childhood and never noticing other parents. Maybe if he got something and...shredded it...or made really small pieces. But the question now was more of WHAT. Demare had already denied the fruit and vegetables, yogurt, and milk. Okay...okay. There had to be SOMETHING... Opening the freezer carefully, he peered inside to see if there might have been some ice cream, or something else sweet in there. The baby, however, noticed something else: the package of frozen chicken underneath the rack. Reaching out a tiny hand, he tried to grab at it, it taking Neko a moment to realize what the child was doing. "You...want chicken?" he asked, watching Demare try to grab for it. The baby's narrow eyes grew large as he nodded, looking rather innocent than he had a moment ago. "Okay...chicken it is." Reaching into the freezer, Neko grabbed the package of meat and pulled it out, shutting the freezer door with his shoulder. The baby legend watched for a moment as the man placed the package on the counter, trying to do things with one hand. His white eye caught hold of something glistening in the soft light from outside, a black pendant around Neko's neck. His wings fidgeted as he carefully took it up in his tiny hands, giggling happily as it sparkled a little more in the light. Neko stopped, smiling as he heard the child giggle. "You like it?" he asked softly, flicking the pendant lightly so it would swing back and forth. Demare's bi-colored eyes watched it, following the movements closely. "This was a gift from an old friend of mine." "Would you like some help?" Domonic piped up from right outside the kitchen, leaning against the wall a little bit. "Seems you have your hands full..." Neko grinned sheepishly, shifting the baby in his arms a little bit. "Perhaps...I just don't want to leave him unattended." Domonic looked to Demare for a moment, the child squealing a little bit. "I'll cook it," he shrugged, stepping into the kitchen. "Go play...I'll tell you when lunch is ready." The demon hanyou smiled, quickly stepping over and kissing the human's cheek, whispering a quiet "Thank you." Walking into the living room, Neko sat down on the couch, flicking his tail a little bit. His ears twitched a little bit, Demare reaching his tiny hands into the air, a small fist still clinging to the chain that was Neko's necklace. He kicked his feet a little as he giggled again. "Bbbbbbweeee!!" he sounded out, growing more accustomed to being around the man. At first he was rather shy...but now he seemed to be doing all right. Neko smiled a little bit, reaching a hand over to very gently poke Demare's nose with a finger. Demare released the chain and wrapped his little fingers around the finger, grasping tightly as he examined it. "You're pretty strong, ne?" he commented, closing his gold eyes a little bit. "Bbbbbmbbbbb?" Demare blinked turning his head to look at Neko while still holding his finger. "Hmmm...do you know what my name is?" Demare thought for a moment. "Nene!" he grinned. "...Close enough," Neko laughed, flicking his tail a little bit. "How about his name?" he asked, looking toward the kitchen for a moment. "Dddd...mi!" the baby clapped, releasing the finger. "Dmi!" "What abooooout...your name?" he smiled, tickling him a little bit. Demare giggled at the tickle, his wings twitching as he kicked his feet a little. "Dddd... Deee... Demaaaaa... Dede!" he finally managed, smiling happily. "Dede?" "Mmmmnnn!" Neko chuckled a little bit, carefully holding up Demare to his face and nuzzling his nose against his. How adorable...if he had known children were this much fun, he would have tried to adopt much earlier. "Well, Dede...I think I smell lunch almost ready." Of course, Demare wasn't paying attention. Quickly, he grasped the fuzzy cat ears attached to Neko's head, giggling as he pulled them happily. "O-oooow!! No no, that's--OW!--not a toy!" Neko whined, pulling the child away to get him to release his ears. They drew back as he held up Demare, who was still making grabbing motions with his hands, and his eyes growing wider. Oh dear... "L-lets go eat, okay?" he tried to sooth, turning his gold eyes toward the kitchen. As he did this, Demare grew quiet, his bi-colored eyes narrowing into little slits. How...DARE he take away his toy. Crossing his arms over his chest, he continued to glare at the demon hanyou as he stood, stepping over to the kitchen and carefully sitting the baby on the table. Domonic looked over after a moment, taking down a few plates from the cupboard. What was he pouting about now...? No matter. He served a chicken breast on each plate, grabbing a knife and fork before handing one to Neko. "Sometimes I wonder if your nose is too good," he joked, taking out utensils for himself. "Want anything with yours?" Neko placed the plate down next to Demare, setting the utensils on the furthest side from him. "Uuuh...actually, yes. There's some rice in the fridge from last night...can you heat that up for me?" Demare eyed the knife and fork suspiciously, glaring at the chicken. Hmph...the man was ignoring him! Here he was starving, and he had his back turned. First the toy...now his food?? Well, he'd put a stop to that... Unfolding his small arms, the baby legend leaning over as far as he could, tiny fingers tapping on the fork lightly. He wanted the knife, but that one was too far. "Didn't you finish that up this morning?" Domonic questioned, lifting a brow as he stepped over to the refrigerator. Opening the door, he peered inside, looking for the container Neko usually used for rice. Success! Demare's fingers finally closed around the handle of the fork, pushing himself back up from having to reach out so far. Drawing the object close to himself, he inspected it for a moment before his eyes turned to Neko's arm, once again narrowing into little slits. Oh yes...this would do nicely. Victory would be his! Neko blinked a few times, his ears perking up and twitching a little. Did he finish it this morning...? Glancing over to the sink, he noticed the container sitting next to it. "Oh...I guess I did," he said, rubbing the back of his neck a bit shyly. His tail flicked from left to right as he grinned back at Domonic. "Could you pleeeeeeaaaaaase make me some?" Demare's wings fidgeted a little bit as he lifted the fork above his head, aiming for the demon hanyou's exposed arm. Ahahahahaha! He would win FOREVER!! "RAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!" he screamed, a batte cry as he swung his arm down, stabbing the fork right into Neko's forearm. ...Did he win? Was the battle over?? Neko's tail fell limp before it bristled, a sharp yelp (or actually, more like a feral cry) escaping his throat as he quickly brought his right arm around to reveal the pointy utensil sticking out of it. He winced as he looked over his shoulder at the baby, the child's once narrow glaring eyes now very large and frightened. W-what had he DONE?? Neko looked to the fork again, his left hand grasping the handle firmly. Tears began to spill over Demare's cheeks as he looked on, not even beginning to understand what had just happened. Neko stared at the baby for a moment longer before turning around, stepping out of the kitchen and heading toward the bathroom. "Domonic...watch him for a moment," he called from the other room, hissing as he pulled the fork out of his arm. Domonic slowly stepped out from behind the counter, walking over to the table to get a closer look at Demare. The baby could only look up at the blonde man as he cried silently, as if asking if the other man would be all right. He really didn't know... Domonic lifted his arms, carefully picking up the small child to cradle him gently. He really didn't know what he did. "Living with you...will certainly be interesting," he sighed as he waiting for his partner to return. "Very interesting."

On August 25, 2004, Neko I have decided that my legend is a strange one. I brought him home the other day, and he was acting a bit strangely... At first, he'd been very sour toward me, always glaring and never looking me straight in the eyes. Then, all of a sudden, it was like he was the sweetest little boy in the world, acting as if he'd done nothing wrong. I saw this especially today...right after he stabbed me with a fork. Given the way he is, I can see now that he is, in fact, a demon like myself...just, another kind. I'll try to look things up and see what I can find, because I've never seen a real demon that had angel wings. It's odd, really... Demare has a black demon wing (complete with the torn and ragged look), and then he has a white angel wing on the other side. This is the same with his eyes...one white, one black. It's like...he's a yin yang, but the colors are on the same sides. Perhaps this represents something...like, for instance, good and evil. Grah...that's too confusing. After cleaning up my arm and wrapping it up, I decided to take Demare to headquarters to see if anyone was around. There was someone there...a woman whose name I didn't get, and a little boy named Seven. I figured nothing would go wrong...although, Demare was glaring at him when I set him down, so I thought I'd take a quick nap. When I woke up, he was curled up next to me, clinging onto my arm... Huh. I must have slept for too long. He was sleeping as well, so he must have felt safe enough. Perhaps I'll let him sleep in his own room tonight, and see what happens...

(August 27, 2004)Demare hugged his black, creepy looking plushy he'd received his first day arriving. In front of him sat a peculiar looking green creature, very cat like with angelic wings and a halo attached to his head. Next to him was one that looked very similar, only with demon wings and little horns instead. And between the brother and sister was the large, three-headed dog, purple with spots that looked much like a cow's, that looked skeptical of the child. They sat obediently, warily looking from the baby in front of them to their master sitting behind him. "Okay...I think it's time you met these guys, all right?" Neko said softly, picking up Demare carefully to rest him in his lap. "I don't want you pulling on their tails anymore just because you're curious." Demare looked up innocently at Neko, as if not even knowing what he was talking about. Pulling on their tails...? When did he do that? They just looked...scary. No matter. Perhaps after meeting them, they'll seem a little nicer. Calmly, Neko held out a hand, motioning for the first two to come forward. The green cat-like creatures did as told, picking themselves up and sauntering to their master. The female's eyes narrowed slightly toward the small boy's left wing, curious as to why it was torn the way it was. The demon hanyou reached out a hand and gently pet the male, smiling as he'd begun to purr from the touch. "This is Go, and his sister Clover," he explained softly, looking down at Demare. "They're a species called Celestrus. You'll see a lot of other creatures that look similar to them wondering are here, but they're different colors. You know how I don't like it when you pull on my tail?" Demare reached a hand out, trying to touch Clover the way that Neko was petting Go. It didn't work very well, however, as his arms were too short, and he was losing balance. Dropping his creepy plushy, his tiny fingers quickly entwined themselves into Clover's fur, grasping as he fell forward in Neko's lap. Clover hissed in pain as she was drug down a little bit, lifting a paw to scratch the child. She stopped, however, as the three-headed dog barked loudly, as if giving an order. The female celestrus glared over her should as she placed her paw back down, green eyes narrowing at the purple creature. The baby legend let go of Clover, eyes wide and frightened by the sudden large sound. Why did it sound so mean? Had he done something wrong? "That would be Murashi. She's what would be known as a Cerebrus...the three headed dog that belonged to Hades, I believe," he explained, picking up Demare into his arms and getting up to his knees. Crawling slowly over to the dog, he pet each expectant head, looking at the baby he now held. "She also doesn't like you pulling on her tail." Demare lifted a curious hand, patting the dog lightly on the head, at least the head that was closest to him. The cerebrus seemed to smile, wagging her tail happily before the heads on the left and right reached over and lightly licked the boy's face. The little demon giggled happily, reaching his arms up into the air as his wings twitched. Neko couldn't help but smile, rather glad that he seemed to be taking this so well. Things change quickly, however, as the boy's eyes narrowed into the little slits they tended to fall into when he got mischievous. Well...shoot...that couldn't be good. The demon hanyou sat back quickly, but unfortunately not quick enough. Demare grabbed hold of one of the cerebrus' ears, pulling hard as Neko sat back. The three-headed dog yelped loudly in pain, whimpering as she tried to back away, the boy's grasp quite firm. "Demare, no! Let go of her!" Neko called, reaching up a hand and smacking the baby's hand lightly. He hated punishment...he really did, because he always knew what would happen next. Demare did indeed let go of the ear, immediately turning his glare to the perpetrator. How DARE he him in while playing with his new toy! Tears struck his eyes under impulse, and light slap still stinging his poor hand. What normally came with a baby's tears? The dreadful scream...and this one was indeed dreadful. The baby legend began to kick and scream with angry, the tears streaking down his cheeks. Neko's ears immediately drew back as the sound began to ring through his sensitive hearing, gold eyes growing wide as he cringed, carefully placing the baby on the ground and quickly holding his hands to his head, keeling over as his head just began to pound with pain. The two celestrus and the cerebrus began to scamper away, well more than annoyed with the incredibly loud cry. Domonic hurried down the stairs, nearly falling down the last few, and rushed over to the two beside the couch. Gently, he picked up the screaming Demare, rocking the boy gently in his arms, as he tried to hush him. "Shhh...shhhh... Come on, it's okay..." he cooed softly, trying to think of something to calm the child. "Everything's fine...shhhh..." Demare wasn't stupid. He was just going to ruin his fun, too! How dare he, how dare he! The blonde haired, blue eyed tw--...what was that? Domonic pulled out a large, ovalish crystal from his pocket, the edges purposefully dulled. "See? Isn't it pretty? Look how it sparkles," he sighed, holding the light blue gem toward the light. "Will you be quiet if I let you play with this?" The baby's screams and crying faded into silence as his eyes grew bigger, watching the object shine in the light. It was pretty...it was shiny...it would be his for now! Nodding slowly, he held up his hands and made a grabby motion, indicating that he wanted the crystal. Domonic reluctantly gave it up, wincing a little bit as Demare immediately began to gnaw on the end, the gem much too wide to fit into his mouth. "Sometimes you're more trouble than you should be," he said softly, shaking his head as he looked to Neko. "It's only been three days and already you're causing some major mischief. I just hope we both can handle it..." Neko curled up a little bit on the floor as the pain was steadily decreasing, his eyes still clenched shut from the scream. It was normal for Domonic...it sounded like any normal baby's. However, for him...for him, it was much different. The scream was a high-pitched squeal to him, ear piercing just about as much as fingernails scratching against a chalkboard. It HURT...it made him feel like his head would just explode if he listened for too long. Demare merely took joy in this, finding it simply amusing how he could make his guardian with a mere screech. Of course, that was the other side of the boy... "I'll...see if I can get him to take a nap," Domonic told Neko, turning to wander back up the stairs. "Afterwards, maybe there will be some quiet time to get rid of that headache."

(September 1, 2004)Demare looked outside the window from his small crib-like bed, his tiny hands grasping tightly onto the dark blue blanket Neko had given him. His large eyes were staring intently at the dark clouds that were moving in, his white eye and feather wing shining brilliantly in the light of the disappearing moon. Blinking a few times, his eyes grew a little wider as the clouds completely set in, darkness engulfing the bright moon. A storm was brewing outside, he knew, as a soft thunder sounded throughout the night. Holding his blanket a little tighter, the small legend turned his head to look at Neko and Domonic, asleep on their bed. They were lucky, after all. In his eyes, he was almost jealous of the two being able to sleep, but then again... he wasn't exactly sleepy anymore. He'd decided to nap much earlier that day, so now he was wide awake and growing bored rather quickly. Demare's black eye began to narrow a little bit as he continued to watch. How dare they not entertain him... But, they were sleeping. It wouldn't be a good idea to bother them, as they seemed really tired. Was he not important? Was he not supposed to be the center of their attention? Yes, he was important, but that didn't mean they needed to serve him every second of their lives. They were sleeping... How DARE they sleep while he was awake? The creepy... The creepy was looking at him funny. Out of the corner of his white eye, Demare noticed that his creepy plushie seemed to have an evil grin on its face. Why did it look at him like that? And why did it seem like his eyes were glowing? Perhaps he was tired after all, and he should try to sleep again. Yawning quietly, the baby demon laid his head back down on top of the soft white pillow he used to rest his head on. Blinking, he slowly closed his eyes to sleep, his feather wing drawing close to his back as he rolled onto his side, the black leathery wing draping on top of him. However, this didn't keep up for too long. A mere few minutes of lying down, and Demare felt the need to open his eyes again. Something was different, he knew, and it bothered him. Opening his bi-colored eyes halfway, he noticed his creepy plushie was no longer behind him, but in front of him. That same evil grin... The same seemingly glowing eyes in the dim light. Which, in all was very odd since the plushie didn't even HAVE a mouth, and its button eyes were just fine. The baby legend closed his eyes again, hoping he'd just been seeing things. However, something now moved in his crib... and it wasn't him. Daring to open his eyes once more, Demare peered around on his side to see what was happening. Neko and Domonic were still asleep... So, what was moving?? Something draped down over his feet as he froze, and reluctantly he chose to look. There were the creepy plushie, dangling over his legs like a limp body just after death. ...How...in Gaia's name...did the plushie get there????? Quickly, the baby drew his legs in close to himself as he tried to scoot himself away. It was following him? Why was it following him? Even as he moved, it just seemed to move along with him until he finally backed into the back of the crib, wobbly legs doing their best to stand him up. Dropping his blanket, Demare grasped tightly onto the bars behind him, his two colored eyes wide with fear. Outside, lightning stuck, and he could have sworn the creepy plushie turn its head up and grin at him. It looked at him. The black and orange plushie sat up during the lightning strike, looked at him with those glowing button eyes, and fell back over. ...Demare couldn't take much more of this. Looking toward the bed outside of his crib, he realized Neko and Domonic were still sleeping. Well...not anymore. He HAD to wake them up! His plushie was out to get him for some reason, and he needed to be saved. Perhaps it was payback for the all slobber and drool he'd put onto the poor stuffed creature. The only problem was that he couldn't just crawl out of his bed. The bars were too high... However, he couldn't just give up. Reaching his small arms up into the sky, the baby legend reached as far as he could toward the top bar, doing his best to stand on his tippy-toes. Reach... Reeeeaaaach... His two little wings began to twitch, flutter, and flap as he tried to grasp onto the top of the crib, beating faster and harder than they ever had before. And somehow, through all of that hard work... the top of the bar seemed to be getting closer. And closer. And even closer still. Now within reach, Demare took hold of the edge of the crib, pulling himself up the best that he could, his wings still beating their heart out. He reached the top? How did that happen? Did he get taller somehow? Had the crib shrunk? Wait... He was being lifted even further away from the crib. After a moment, he realized that he was even floating in the air, and his shoulders were starting to hurt a little bit as gravity caused his body to become heavy. Demare was...flying? Looking over his shoulders, the demon noticed his wings still flapping and fluttering, his right side faltering greatly as he began to turn over in the air. Maybe he could move closer to the grown-up's bed... It was worth a shot. Thrusting his arms forward, and then quickly moving them back, Demare tried to swim in the air, starting to grow tired from all of the strain. Pain wasn't a good thing, and he quickly began to realize this. The swimming motions weren't getting him anywhere, and he was soon loosing distance between the air and his own bed. His bed where the plushie was waiting for him. Whimpering softly, the demon tried to swim quicker, his body beginning to just roll in the air from his left side being stronger than the right. He had to get away from the plushie! What if it tried to eat him? What if it would try to hurt him? Oh plushie, what did he ever do to you??? The edge of the crib was nearing, and Demare quickly took hold, looking toward Neko. Maybe he just needed a push! Yes, yes that was all he needed! Pushing off from his crib, the baby legend again began to swim through the air, the push slowly moving him forward. He was going to make it! He was going to land on the bed!! So...tired... Demare began to fall from the air again, rolling about in the air slowly, little hands reaching out toward Neko. Maybe... He wasn't going to make it after all... CRAMP!!! The demon whimpered louder as his wings started to cramp him from never being used so much, and his fall quickened. May day...! MAY DAY!! Crash and burn, crash and BURN!!!!! His falling stopped about a foot above the ground, his wide two toned eyes staring at the tan colored carpet. The frightened child looked up to see Neko with an extended fingerless-gloved hand, his gold eyes opened wide with shock and fear. Quickly, the demon hanyou threw his blanket off of himself, keeping his left hand in the air toward Demare. Sitting, then standing up, he rushed over to the baby and plucked him out of the air carefully, his large hands shaking slightly, his tail lashing behind him. "W-what were you DOING?!" he cried, not even caring if he woke up Domonic at this point. "You scared me!" Demare couldn't answer his guardian, his wings drooping tiredly behind his back as his teary eyes looked at Neko, tiny hands reaching toward him to signal that he wanted to be held close. The demon hanyou more than happily obliged, resting the child on one arm and gently holding his head to his shoulder, slowly swaying his upper body left and right. "P-please... Don't do that again..." he whispered quietly, planting a soft kiss on the top of the boy's head. "Don't ever do that again..." Of course, Demare didn't hear him. Neko sat back down on the bed, allowing the baby legend to just sleep safely in his arms. Looking over his shoulder, his gold eyes met Domonic's light blue ones. He knew full well that there would probably be a talk about this tomorrow...

On September 1, 2004, Neko Demare scared me today. Yesterday he started walking a little bit, and today he tried to fly. I don't understand... He's much different than a normal baby! I mean, it's only been about a little over a week, right? And already he's growing up so quickly. I swear he's gotten a little bigger since he first arrived, as well. Apparently he's starting to get a bit frightened by that black creepy plushie Lucifer gave him. From what I can understand, he seems to think it can move on its own, or that it's possessed. I guess the weather tonight didn't help much... It started pouring, and there was a bit of lightning. He doesn't seem to like that too much, and I don't really blame him. Anyway, every time I try to take that plushie away from him, Demare starts glaring at me. At one point tonight, he even bit me... Geez, this kid is weird.

On September 15, 2004, Neko I knew I was missing something. Domonic and I decided to kind of remodel a room upstairs for Demare, and I accidently packed up the diary when I was moving things. God, I hate being a man sometimes... I doubt I would have done this were I still a woman. Well, anyway... The room is finished (save for a few furnishings we still need to go out and buy), and Demare seems to like it. Hopefully, we won't have to do this again for a long while... So, now that I've got this thing out again, I should write a bit of an update, shouldn't I? Let's see... Demare's walking a lot better now. He's still a little iffy, but sometimes I'm amazed by how well he can walk on his own. There are times where he'll just go without hanging onto anything... But then, most of the time he seems a bit nervous and he's constantly needing something nearby. Interesting... He's also gotten slightly better at flying. He doesn't do it too often, as his right side has a hard time balancing, but he can SOMEWHAT. So long as he doesn't hurt himself, I figure it's okay... Though, I'm thinking about getting some padding for his room so he'll have a safe place to land. Demare's speech has greatly improved. He still talks in baby talk, but the words are much more understandable, and he's even beginning to form a few sentences. I mean...FULL sentences. Will he ever stop surprising me? Apparently not. During the past week, he's finally ripped the head off his precious creepy plushie. I don't know HOW he did it or WHY, but it's gone... So he's moved on to chew on one of his dragon plushies. I think right now he's got the black on in his hands... The white one appears to be for throwing or stabbing. Domonic is even more wary of Demare now. A few days ago, the child snuck into Domonic's messenger bag and took out the relic dagger to play with. While in his possession, Demare tore up one of my throw pillows, ripped a hole in the back of my couch, and started to stab his white dragon plushie. (And he won't let me take it away...) It's a miracle he didn't hurt himself... However, when Domonic tried to take the dagger away, Demare started screaming and flinging that thing around. So, I'm not the only one with war scars now... He got a few cuts on his left arm, a small cut across his chest, and a deep gash in his right hand from grabbing the blade to get it away. ...Okay, note to self: keep ALL sharp objects away from Demare.

On September 19, 2004, Neko Some weird things have been going on lately. Domonic and I seem to be having random blackouts, and we seem to be disappearing at times. Strange, I know, but it's true. Domonic disappeared for a couple of hours a couple of nights ago, and he doesn't remember anything about it. Then again, he said I'd disappear spuratically, as well. ...What the hell is going on? Demare also doesn't seem to be doing too well. He appears to be having bad dreams, waking up crying in the middle of the night. I wish I knew what was scaring him so much... There were a few times he was looking at ME rather frightened, so I'm wondering if they're dealing with me somehow. Gods I hope not. I'd hate to be the reason the poor child is scared. It seems within the last few days, Demare has also found my jewelry box. I sat on one of my rings this morning... He hid a lot of them between the couch cushions, and one of them had managed to wiggle its way back to the surface. ...Come to think of it, how did he even GET to my jewelry box?? He must be flying again...or maybe he's getting into climbing. Either way, I need to start keeping another eye on him. On another note, he's started to get a little restless. At one point, he even told me that he WANTED to go to the HQ. Mind you, I've been waiting for him to tell me that he wanted to go, because I'm afraid of what might happen if I just force him to go. I don't want him to endanger the others, ya know? I promised to take him tomorrow... I have a massive headache tonight, and I can't explain it. I feel like something big's going to happen, though... Something big, and something really bad.

On October 10, 2004, Neko What I'm about to say more than likely won't make any sense when I write it, but believe me, it's the truth. There's been some strange things going on lately, and I'm not sure how to explain it. Period. Logically and scientifically, it shouldn't happen, and if the rules of time and space are correct, this is totally wrong. Domonic's been experiencing the same thing, however, so it really makes me wonder... Why isn't Demare affected? Not that I want him to be, but... why just Domonic and me? What's been happening? It's quite simple. The two of us have been disappearing randomly. Come to think of it... The first disappearance happened almost a month ago, and it was to Domonic. Next thing I know, he's asking me where I'd been for the last three days, and I could have sworn I'd only just blinked. Of course, this last time was much more serious... I've been gone for 2 weeks. I'd sat down to begin writing in this journal at around 11 o'clock at night on Sunday, September 26th. 3 hours ago, Domonic was hugging me to death and telling me that he'd been worried sick about me, and that it was the 10th of October. Creepy? Just slightly. Thank the Gods that Domonic didn't disappear along with me. That's happened for a day once, and we were lucky Sora was here to watch Demare. The poor child's confused, and actually asked me today in his odd speech if we didn't like him anymore. ...Why would he think that? I don't fully understand, myself, and it's starting to drive me mad. He probably cried for a good 30 minutes when I held him today... But only for that long. I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before, but with the time I've spent with this child so far, I'm beginning to grow curious over one thing in particular. I know that half of this baby is demon. If his other half is indeed of an angel, could this perhaps have affected his very mind somehow? While I myself can live with the two forms of demon and angel, this is only possible due to that type of angel being demon tainted. What if Demare CAN'T control the two sides? What if the reason he's always changing his mind between things is because... he has two personalities? I suppose I won't really know until he grows up. Demare is still a baby... And babies seem to act very differently from older children. If this is the case, I may need to start hiding all the forks and knives, and begin to try and figure out when he's in his demon mind. I'm being honest when my sweetie is a brat and an angel at the same time... While I was gone, it seems Demare tore apart his two white plushies, and the black dragon's really getting worn. Note to self... Find more durable toys for him to play with. Or perhaps... think about getting him to make a friend who could possibly stand his two sides.

On October 19, 2004, Neko Will someone make these things STOP?? It's pissing me off. The disappearances have been happening a lot less lately, and have grown much shorter. However, we both seem to be carrying memories of these blackouts now. Yesterday, Domonic mentioned something about his right arm hurting really bad, and when we looked to see what was wrong, there was a terrible bruise on his shoulder. He muttered something about being hit pretty hurt last night, and passed it off. ...Hit? Hit by what? My last memory was much different, however. I wasn't hurt or anything, but I was talking to some...creature. It was weird! This thing was floating over the ground, no legs....no real hands. Just one big, white.....MASS. With claws. It's so hard to explain... But I was scared. It's been a long time since I've been scared, too. I have a feeling Demare could feel that I was frightened, because when I went to check up on him he snuggled up real close to me like a cat. ...As if he were trying to comfort me... And you know what he said? "Everything okay." ...Well, in his baby talk, but that's what it was. Just those two words, and one really tight hug. (I forgot how strong babies were...) Coming from him, it really did make me feel better, especially since Demare's been avioding me a little bit ever since I got back from that long disappearance. I think he's upset with me... Thinking I might have abandoned him or something. Honestly, I don't think I ever COULD give him up for any reason... He's the closest being to a real child I could ever probably get, and I love him greatly. Him and his odd personality.

On October 25, 2004, Neko Demare's been pouting all morning. I don't know what's wrong, either, because he won't tell me anything... I swear I need to start teaching him how to write. Maybe if he won't talk, he's write. Hmmm...I wonder if it's due to the earlier incident? This morning, Demare decided to throw his plushie at one of my vases. Well, he knocked it over and it broke, and that happened to be one of my favorite ones... Also, it's irriplacable. So, naturally, I got angry with him, and scolded him a little bit. Now I'M the bad guy and he went running to Domonic for sanctuary, but he wouldn't give him peace either. Domonic also got a little mad, so Demare won't listen to anyone at the moment... Damn it, are all children this difficult? Maybe a visit to the shop is in order...? He could also be sore about me not taking him like I promised. I'll go ask him...

Great Anticipation Neko opened the door to the HQ quietly, gold eyes peering inside warily. Demare had latched himself onto his back, fussing the entire way over due to a sudden change in mind on wanting to visit this place. It was too late, however, as the thought changed by the time they were halfway there. It was too long of a walk to just turn around, and Neko had grown curious of how much the place had changed. After all, it had been a month or two since he'd last visited. Opening the door enough to step inside, the demon hanyou closed the door behind him before cringing as the baby behind him began to slobber on his tail.
"I would really appreciate you not doing that," he sighed, reaching behind himself and plucking the upside-down baby off of his back. "That feels way too weird.""TOY!!" Demare screamed, making grabby motions toward the tail in question and his wings fluttering rapidly. "Gimme gimme!""Pink! Yes!" Brit laughed, and grinned at her. "It's been a long time since I dropped by that HQ. Steele moving in has been really chaotic on both sides of the family." She wrinkled her nose, and snuggled her baby. "This...is Keita! You might have met his twin, Aureli- I know Steele's been by a little bit more than I have." She blinked, raising her eyes to the door as it opened. "Oh...I didn't expect many people to be here today!" DS entered and toward Pink as soon as she spotted her friend. "Pink! Long time no see! Hey, has Eri been by lately?" Noticing an unfamilar woman nearby, she bowed. "Forgive me... did I interrupt you?" All this travelling was making her act oddly, and she didn't like it one bit.
A small, pale face poked through the door, attached to a small child in bright green robes. Oooo, this place looks fun!The dark figure that visited every so often appeared ocne more at the door, entering into it while keeping his vision sorted amongst the various inhabitants. Prana wasn't here, nor was Faevan; though Pink and Guin seemed to be in the area, familiar faces to him in this facility. Otherwise, he looked around and noticed a number of other visitors. Or perhaps... the guardians of the children. "Mmm... hello everyone. It's nice to see you again, Pink." spoke Airez with a soft tone, looking down at Guin and smiling beneath his scarf. Pink smiled to Britain. "Yay I was right. Its ok. Its hard for a lot of people to be frequent visitors here. We all come and go. I don;t believe I met your child's twin either. She is beautiful, and I bet her twin is just as beautiful." Out of the corner of her eye, Pink saw Airez and waved happily. "How are you tonight, Airez." She said, letting everyone in the room know that even though he didn;t look TOO friend, he was. Pink then turned to DS and waved her over. "No, not interrupting anything. Come over here sweetie." She called out in a sing song voice. "And who is that you have with you today? You and all your children. You are one busy bee!" She said with a link and a laugh, awaiting the look DS would give her...or the violent display of 'affection' she would use apon her. Guinevere, very confused at all the people around her began to wail, not knowing who to go to, who to play with, or anything. It was very tramatic for her. Neko's ears perked up a little bit at the voices, having not realized anyone was around at first. Holding Demare correctly, he frowned as the child began to squirm in his arms.
"Oh, come on... Don't you ever get lonely at home? No one else your age being around and all..." he asked the baby, stepping a bit slowly toward the growing group.Demare crossed his bandaged arms over his chest and narrowed his eyes into little slits, glaring up at his guardian. Infidel... He wasn't lonely. He didn't need FRIENDS! ...But, he DID need minions...
Turning his bi-colored eyes toward the babies in question, he realized the two were indeed about his age, and one was a girl. FEH!! Who needed girls? He didn't get along with Sora at home, nor Minami, and most of the pets seemed to hate him as it was. What made her any better? The boy, however... The tiny horns on his head made him a little interesting. Maybe he'd give them a chance.Neko cautiously approached the group, staying back a little bit to make sure he wasn't interupting anything."I'm quite alright." responded Airez as he ventured forth towards the known companion. With grey eyes of neutral nature, he peered down at Guin and then bent at the knees to crouch. The dark scar fof his sprayed all across the floor beneath him, laying limp and motionless. His vision focused upon the young child that lay before him, staring at her with a caring tone. "Hello there, little one, we meet again." spoke the dark man in a smooth voice, calling towards Guin. Brit seemed a bit shy at first, but once she realized that there WAS a group of people and she might as well get used to it her sage-green eyes calmed. She tilted her head at DS with a slight smile, and shook her head. "You're not interrupting at all. I'm Britain Newark, and this is Keita- it's nice to meet you." She gave a nod to the other newcomers, as well. Keita's ears flicked stright back when Guin cried out and he looked up with interest and concern. One little hand reached out, and he waved it at her reassuringly. "Meh!" He pronounced, quite firmly, and gave her a sunny smile.Pink wouldn't be disappointed. A twisted smile on her face, DS pulled Pink into a tight bear hug, rubbing the woman's head with her own. "Now now... I just stopped by to see if Eri's been by, and to get a snack. I've been... eh, travelling for a while. Can't stay long though, I'd like to get Xue back to the cottage." She gestured towards the boy absently, still looking around the room.
Wow, this place looked interesting! Very different from the cottage. And the people were all bigger or smaller. Grinning, he headed over to the smaller ones. Do any of them want to play with Xue?Pink, not noticing another person before, now notices Neko. She waved him over to them as well. "Hello there. And who might you be." Pink laughed as DS hugged her. "Well you're here now. And once you come you stay for a long period of time, you know better by now." She said to her friend waving her finger about at her with a giggle. Through Guinevere's loud wails she heard the friendly man that Prana liked to play with come over to her, and made her stop whailing so loudly. Still, he wasn't as good as all those babies she saw and wanted to play with too. She thought through her tears how she could play with ALL the babies and the friendly man. She looked around and saw one of the babies wave to her. She began to sniffle, brigtening a little bit, and waved her hands all about at her, cooing a little through her sniffles. She saw even another baby come close to her. This one looked different though. She was so intrigued by the difference that she stopped her sniffiling all together. She reached out and poked the different little creature as it walked by her. "Mwa?" She questioned at it. A familiar voice aroused Airez's attention as he turned his face towards the green eyeed woman. His eyebrow rose with curiousity as he took a little while to recognize who this character was exactly. It brought about a smiple smile to his face as his eyes waivered down to her stomahc, noticing the obvious growth that was present. It was a long while since he'd seen the girl, and a great deal had changed with her, it seemed. "It's been some time now, hasn't it Britain." called Airez with his usual tone, turning his vision platinum eye to mee with the woman's face. "Steele mentioned the stage of your new child. I must offer my congratulations to you." The sounds of the children playing was a pleasure to his ears as he was able to turn his attention away from that of the kid. Snorting softly, DS headed to the kitchen. "I really do have to get back soon," she yelled. And you STILL haven't answered my question!"
Oh? Who is this one? She looks all brown and dark on the outside. She has funny robes!
Xue pokes back gently. Who is the girl?"Airez! I knew I recognized that voice!" She laughed, and reached out to hug her friend. "Steele told me she ran into you here! What do you think of our little ones, hmm? We've been very busy lately." >.< She blinked at the suddenly crowding room, and shook her head. "I guess I didn't know what I was getting into when we decided to take care of the twins." Keita, meanwhile, was rather determined to get to Guin. It bothered him to have someone in distress nearby, and even if she wasn't in distress...he wanted to go see! He squirmed, making demanding baby noises as Brit shifted him to her other hip.Being acknowledged, Neko took a few steps closer to the group, holding Demare for a moment longer.
"Er, hello," he said a bit softly, his gold eyes glancing down toward the wailing child before she'd stopped. "My name is Neko... And this is Demare."The baby simply rolled his eyes with an irritated sigh, his wings twitching slightly."You'll have to excuse him... He can be a brat sometimes," Neko said, shaking his head a little bit. Reluctantly, he finally placed the child on the floor, making sure to sit him up and keeping an eye on him. Hopefully, things would go smoothly like it had the last time he was here.Demare eyed his surroundings for a moment, warily watching the girl that had just been crying.Chuckling in return, Airez leaned over and gave his friend a good hug, letting go and smiling at Keita in return. "They seem lovely, I should and will congratulate you on them as well. Quite a pair if I do say so." Looking down at Keita still, he crouched down and patted the boy's head lightly with his gloved hand, feeling through the coarse folicles upon his head. He retracted his arm and stood before Britain once more, nodding in agreement wiht her words as they left her form. "I must admit it seems rather hectic at times. Though, it's nice to know that I've been given the title of godparent for Prana, Faevan's little one. It's really heartwarming actually, to see all these kids." Pink waved happily to Neko and his baby. "Your child is beautiful!" She said once again to another parent. Its not her fault she belived all of them to be beautiful! Pink laughed as DS went towards the kitchen once again. "There was a question in the mist of that hug. What was it again? You know my lazy, hazy memory!" She said with a smile. Guinevere, at the ground saw another baby be put there. She clapped her hands and happily pointed to him. Being poked back by the baby, Guinevere giggled and poked him again. He was a fun one! She looked up when she heard the baby in the air make noises. She likewise, tryed to copy the same noises and reached out to him. "Pwaaaaaaa." She said loudly, drawing Pink's attention to her little girl. She looked from Guinevere to where her gaze landed and laughed. "I think they want to play." She said pointing to Guinevere and Keita. DS emerged from the kitchen with a small basket, gritting her teeth. "Have... you... seen... Eri?" Honestly, was it possible to have a smaller attention span?
Xue tired of the poking quickly. These people sounded so quiet to him! It hurt Xue's poor mind... gonk "That's wonderful!" Brit exclaimed, absently setting Keita down next to Guin. "Good idea, Pink- it'll save my aching arms." She made a face at Airez and shook her head. "My first son had hollow bones- I didn't know babies could be so heavy!" Keita rejoiced as he was set down, and crawled over to plop next to Guin. He peered at her, one ear forward in her direction, and grinned."Hollow bones?" asked Airez with a risen eyebrow, then looked back down about the child in question. "I wouldn't have guessed such a child had those qualities. Makes it quite interesting." A softer look returned as he looked back at Britain, shrugging his shoulders. "Perhaps you're feeling him too much Gerber baby food. Though I must admit that such food is rather delicious, especially vanilla custard." shaking his head, clearly amused, he looked back into the crowd of children, "They'll grow up to be heavier. Imagine him when he's old enough to talk." Demare twitched slightly at the comment, finding it revulting that the woman would call him beautiful. He wasn't PRETTY! He wasn't some piece of scenery to be commented on! He wasn't...
...pretty. That word seemed to calm him a little bit as he looked shyly at his feet, wiggling his toes in his booties. His wings twitched again, adding to the bashful look, and his eyes grew back to their normal large size. That was... That was very nice of her to say.
"Pwitty..." he said quietly, giggling a little bit.Neko blinked a few times, making a mental note of how randomly his mind was switching today. Sometimes it would take only seconds for him to switch...Pink laughed as DS gritted her teeth. "You know you love me! And no I have not. Has he disappeared or something sweetie?" She asked, the last part of her question said in a worried tone. Guinevere giggled happily at the strage little creature and reacted by shoving one of her fists into her mouth. Guinevere, apon seeing the new baby come close to her looked intently at his ears, leaning her head to and fro, seeing them all different directions. She tentatively reached out the first that was not in her mouth to touch them. They looked so neat to her! Guinevere looked to the little boy who had early given off an almost inward and mean aurora and smiled at him as she saw him wiggle his feet. She reminded herself of what her and Prana did yesterday and plopped herself of the ground and wiggled ehr feet in the air repeating over and over a few times. "Pwit! Pwit!" Not really able to say the whole word the boy had said. "Hm? Oh no, he hasn't." DS couldn't quite manage to hide her disappointment. "At least, not that I know of. I just hoped he would be getting out while I've been gone. But he probably just went to the library, right?" She rummaged through her basket as she talked, trying to keep one eye on Xue and failing miserably.
Xue sat down on the floor with a thump. He isn't sure he likes this place...
Not knowing what else to do, he projects cheery, playfull feelings as far as he can manage. Playtime? biggrin "Oh, not this little one!" Brit corrected, her eyes wide. "Aoshi is my oldest son, he's one-quarter blackbird. He's in college. His f- father died when he was very young." She seemed to have obvious trouble getting past that sentance, and quickly changed the subject as she looke up at Neko. "Hello? I don't believe we've met." Keita tilted his head at the first touch from the little girl, then leaned against her as his eyes closed blissfully. He LOVED it when people played with his ears!"Mmm..." noting the hesitation in Britain's voice, Airez took notice of the nearby man as well, having previously forgotten about him. A kind look rose about his face that was visible as he turned and offered out his hand in a greeting. "Hello there, seems you have a little one as well." called the man, smiling beneath his dark cloth. "I'm sorry, but I didn't catch his name earlier." Pink went over to DS and gave her a hug. "Don't worry sweetie. He prolly went to the library. Or to Buffy's place to play with Illyria." Guinevere smiled as the Keita rubbed his ears against her hand. She took her other hand out of her mouth and wiped it on her cape before pettng both of his ears. So soft! Guinevere, looked over to Xue when she suddenly felt something hit her. She took one hand off of Keita's ears and reached into the big bag her mommy always brought with them. She pulled out some plushies and put them infront of them all. She made one dance about as she kept petting one of Keita's ears and smiled to Xue. Neko's ears flicked a few times before he looked up, realizing someone had spoken to him. Laughing a bit nervously and blushing slightly with embaressment, he lifted a fingerless-gloved hand to rub at the back of his neck.
"Oh! G-gomen gomen, sorry about my manners," he apologized, his tail curling up a little bit. "My name's Neko. And this," he paused for a moment, holding his free hand toward Demare on the floor, "is Demare."Demare blinked a few times as he heard his name, just now realizing they'd arrived at the HQ. Had he blacked out again?? Looking up to the woman his guardian was talking to, he scooted himself a little bit behind Neko's leg, a tiny hand grasping onto his pant leg as he waved the other shyly.Well, that was a bit more like it. But not enough. Why couldn't anyone play with Xue? crying
DS huged Pink back tightly, choking back a giggle. "With Illy? Really Pink, has hell frozen over already?" But the words did comfort her, and she smiled. Until she caught sight of Xue. "Oh dear," she murmured, rushing over to scoop the boy up. "Sorry, we really must fly. Nice to meet all of you," she shouted to the room, not bothering to remember she hadn't really met any of them. "Until we next meet!"
The door slammed behind them as they left, the only sign they'd been there a few traces of mixed cheeriness and confusion lingering in the air."My name's Brit," she said, watching Neko curiously, "and that's Keita. His twin, Aureli, is with my mate Steele- she's busy tonight, unfortunately, or she'd be here." She leaned down a bit, raising her eyebrow at Demare- she was extremely short, so it wasn't a long trip. "Hello, Demare." "Mrrr?" Keita asked, looking at the plushies. Ear scritches were so distractng...but new things were so interesting! he reached out for a plushie and examined it carefully, never moving far enough away that Guin couldn't pet him. After a minute, he peered up at Demare- his mama-person was talking to Demare's mama person, so he watched carefully to make sure he didn't do anything mean.Pink hugged DS tightly. "No worries hun." She then waved to her as she parted hurridly and wandered off to the kitchen for a moment wondering if she left any cookies for them in there. She sure was hungrey, so she hoped she had. Guinevere set enough for now with the ear petting, waved enthusiastically to the strange baby as it left with her mommy's friend and picked up dolls in both of her hands. She made them dance around infront of her and Keida cheerdully, making one or two climb on him every so often. Hearing the door slam nearby, Airez pondered who had just left before looking over at Pink once more, seeing her companion had left. A quick wave and he looked down at the children that played together, watching them interact before turning back towards Britain and Neko. His mind was just everywhere today! Noticing the hand being held out to him, his blushed a little more from embaressment.
"G-gomen!! I'm sorry, I didn't...I mean... Hello," Neko stammered, taking the man's hand in his own and giving it one firm shake. "Forgive me, I guess I'm not all here today. The lack of sleep must be finally getting to me. Who might you be?"Demare hid a little more behind Neko's leg before realizing that the woman wasn't going to hurt him. Peeking out a little more, he waved his hand again, his wings twitching a little bit.
"He'wo," he said softly, managing to smile.Brit nodded solemnly to Demare, her eyes dancing. "It's nice to meet you," she said gently. "Would you like to play with my little one?" Keita cackled gleefully as the plushies danced, and made the one he'd claimed for the moment dance with Guin's. He fell backwards, suddenly finding himself staring at the ceiling- and laughed, kicking his feet.Without warning, Brit's pager went off. She started to swear, then thought better of it with a slightly guilty look around at all the babies. "Blast. I'm on call for emergency dispatch when they run out of officers so I've got to go- it was nice meeting all of you!" She scooped up Keita, who looked very unhappy about having to leave his new playmates, and whisked out the door. Accepting the shake with a pride, the dark man nodded his head and smiled, "Sometimes it's good to be inconspicuous. My name is Airez Ryong, it's a pleasure to meet you." Letting go, he looked back down at the child and smiled, " I believe you refered to him as Demare?" Before he could react, Britain was running out in a hurry, taking Kieta with her quickly. It surprised him that a pregnant woman was so active, able to move so freely as she did. Somethign many women could undoubtedly hold a certain pride to watch, "Good bye, and good luck." Pink came out of the kitchen with some cookies DS had left for them just in time to hear Britian say goodbye. "Bye! Have fun at work and come again soon!" She said cheerfully and then put the plate of cookies on the table by the couch. She sat back down and looked from Neko to Airez with a smile, taking one cookie from the plate for herself and extending her other hand toward the plate, meaning for them to take one too. Guinevere, seeing her playmate whisked away pouted as she looked at her plushies. She threw them aside, unhappy with them not being alive to play with her and crawled toward her mommy and the group surrounding them. She pulled on her Mommy's shoe and raised her hands up. Pink looked down at the tugging and smiled, picking up Guinevere and craddled her in her arms. "Why are you sad baby girl?" She said gently to her, seeing tears brimming at the little one's eyes. Neko blinked distractedly for a moment as Britain as leaving, his tail flicking a little bit as she moved so quickly. Emergency dispatch...? The situation couldn't have been good if they needed her.
"Er, good luck! And it was nice meeting you, Brit!" he called with a wave as she exited with her child.
"Yes, yes...this is Demare," he said, looking back to Airez. "And a pleasure to meet you, as well."Demare watched a bit confused as the woman left so quickly, waving a hand in habit as she disappeared. He would have tried to say goodbye had his eyes not gotten distracted by movement from above.
Turning his bi-colored eyes to the dark man, he was a bit curious of the material he had over his mouth. He'd never seen a collar like that before... and it was so ragged! Just his kind of thing."Poor child wants a playmate." said Airez with a smile behind his scarf. The little one seemed so sad now, having lost all the other children to their parents duties and chores. It was heartbreaking to see the child's eyes water up with tears. Looking towards Neko, he nodded and offered a soft look. "Maybe..." Crimson eyes peered in through the door curiously, then a small body stepped forth, hair a blaze as a tail swished around lightly into the air. Crimson stripes lined up and down his body, showing off his dark skin as the little minx wandered in and took notice of the people that were present in the room. His attention seemed to waiver quickly as he noticed the child in Pink's lap, seeing how tiny it was. "Mmm?" murmured Airez as he looked back and smiled, "Come to join us Shen?" Pink looked down at Guinevere in her lap and bounced her a little as she heard what Airez said. "Are you sad because all your playmates left honey?" She asked in a soft voice. Guinevere nodded her head and burried it into her shoulder, sniffiling a little. "Awwww." Pink said and rocked her back and forth in her arms, rubbing up and down her back. "Maybe Damare would play with you. Or look, someone else just came in!" She said in a cheery voice, trying to get her little girl to cheer up, but she just continued to rub her face into her mommy's shirt, thouroughly boogering and tearing it up. Pink looked toward the door and saw a rather odd creature. "Who is that?" She asked Airez, as she saw him acknowledge it. "This would be Shen," responded Airez as he petted the fiery hair of his companion's head, nudging him forward towards the tiny batch of people, "He's my little Reju, a Minx of his species." Looking up at Pink without emotion in his eyes, Shen turned his head down towards the baby once more. The tail and hair of his glowed softly as he reached out and pressed his hand softly against Guin's back, letting out a warm aura before looking up at Pink. " Hello... I am Shen..." Pink smiled. "That's a nice name, Shen. My name is Pink. And this is my little girl, Guinevere." Her eyes followed his hand as he pressed it against her back. Guinevere first figited in Pink's arms, wondering what was on her untill she noticed how comfy it felt. She sniffled one last time and murmered happily, snuggiling against her mommy as she felt the warm aurora. Rubbing up and down the little one's back, SHne looked up at Airez and tilted his head, " She's very little..." "Yeah, that's because she's a baby. Much like you but you're a child and she's a tinier child. Think more of an egg form." offered Airez in a smooth voice before looking down at the child. " I see..." Demare watched curiously as the new creature arrived and seemed to comfort the crying child, wondering why the girl had started her tears to begin with. Cautiously, he moved forward to rest against his hands and shifted his legs, planting his feet onto the ground as he pushed himself into somewhat of a stand. Still bent over with his hands against the floor, he slowly straightened himself up, swaying a little bit as he tried to gain full balance. It wasn't long before his wobbly legs began to hesitantly move toward the little group by the couch.Pink looked at little strangely at Shen as he rubed her daughter's back but she was calming down, so she guessed it was ok. She smiled up at Airez as he tried to explain to Shen. "She is a tiny baby sweetie. It seems you were never this little?" She asks Shen. Guinevere, content with the rubbing on her back, fluttered her eyes open and close, fighting off sleep for a little while. Pink smiled as the other legend came towards them. "Looks like we have a walker on our hands." "Indeed." smiled Airez as he watched the baby come closer. " Mm..." responded Shen as he continued to rub the little child's back some more, letting the waves of heat flow over ehr body while he did so, " I came from an egg.... so I wasn't a tiny baby..." Pink laughed at the thought of Guinevere as an egg. "No egg for this one. Just a tiny baby." She looked down at Guinevere, and saw her eyes completely closed, and her back moving up and down slower from her breathing. She tilted Guinevere up a little and confirmed she was sleeping. Apon seeing her daughter sleeping, she yawned. "It was nice to meet you Shen, and nice to see you again Airez, but I have to get going. We both seem to be very tuckered out." She got up, cradiling Guinevere gently and picked up her bag in the middle of the room, after putting all the strewn about plushies into it. She gave a little wave before she opened the door the the HQ and walked out for the night. Neko rubbed the back of his neck a little bit. "He's about 2 months now, so I guess I'm not too surprised... I just feel bad that I seemed to have missed the most of it," he explained. "Er...and goodnight."Demare stopped at the couch, turning his eyes up shyly toward the three now very close by. Folding his little hands behind his back, the baby legend kicked his foot against the floor softly, looking toward his feet.
"He'wo," he said softly, his wings curling a little bit. He was too late, however, as the woman and baby girl got up to leave. He watched curiously, unsure of what else to do."So I see." said Airez as he looked down upon the sleeping child, reaching over and pating her lightly atop the head before looking at Shen and tapping him upon the shoulder, cuasing the Minx to removed his hand and look up at him. "I wish you two the best of sleep. Maybe your dreams be happy ones. And may your child wake up without crying." Smiling, he allowed hte passing of Pink and hte child before looking down at SHne. The minx looked back without expression before heading out the door as well, finding something he could do in the night while Airez shookmhis head lightly. A smile grew before he looked at Neko and nodded his head, "I should be heading out as well, perhaps we shall see each other again. As well as your child." Offering a respectful nod to Demare, he turned and began for the door as well. Neko nodded slightly and waved, his tail flicking a little bit. "Yes, perhaps we'll meet again," he agreed. "Have a good night."Demare frowned slightly as the man left, tilting his head at the nod. Had he driven them off?? Would they come back? How...how terrible that after he'd worked up the nerve to greet them, they all ran off.
...How DARE they...Neko looked back to his legend just in time to see the baby's eyes narrow down into little slits. Here we go again...
"All right you... Time to go home," he said softly, stepping over to the angry child and picking him up carefully. "You had bad timing, it's not their fault."Of course it was their fault! They were the ones that had to leave, after all. Grumpily, Demare folded his arms across his chest in a huff and glared up at his guardian instead, deciding to put his frustrations out on the demon.Neko looked down at him for a moment before shaking his head lightly and turning around to walk toward the door. Leaving the HQ, he began to long trek back home.

On October 25, 2004, Neko Well, that seemed to help. I took him to the shop, ignoring the protests halfway there, and things didn't seem too bad. Demare didn't really get a chance to actually MEET the two other legends that were there, but he did...see them. They got good reactions, I think, so all hope is not lost! We met Pink and her legend, Guinevere, Brit and her legend, Keita, and we also met DS and Airez. I didn't get to speak with Pink much, but Brit and Airez seemed rather nice, and I hope I'll be able to meet them again sometime. Keita is apparently one of the newest legends, and he has a twin sister. Wow...twins?? That must be very cute. I wonder if I'll get a chance to meet Keita's sister? Demare seemed wary when I first set him down to let him do what he wanted. He just hid behind my leg for a while... At least he wasn't glaring at the other two babies. One of these days, that child is going to actually meet someone else, whether he likes it or not. I just...need to figure out HOW.

A new journal was started when Demare arrived in this dimention. This Neko and Domonic have no memory of the child, since they weren't the ones originally caring for him. Expect some things to be repeated. On November 8, 2004, Neko Halloween has come and passed. It's almost been two weeks since Demare arrived here, and he's still here. So, obviously not a Halloween trick... He's real. He's not just my imagination. ...He's...staying here. A part of me is happy about this, but a part of me is dreading the days to come. Demare seems to get along very well with Domonic. He's still a little iffy around me, as if he's not sure of something... Funny. It's like he's never seen a woman until the day he arrived. Or rather, a woman with my name... He's reluctant to call me Neko. Why? Did he live with another Neko? Did he live with another...me? The only thing Domonic and I have been able to confirm is that Demare's not from this dimention originally. Or so it seems... He has complete memories of living in this house, living with Domonic, but he seems to think I'm a stanger. Of course, Domonic is really confused because he knows nothing of the child... Where he came from, why he was there, and much less why he appeared in HIS arms that day. So, what's wrong with me? We have a clue, however. There was a picture of me still as a man sitting out on the coffee table, and Demare kept pointing at it saying "Nene". Odd... Perhaps where ever he was originally, I had still been a man, and he isn't making the connection that he could possibly be me. I won't complain, though, because I don't expect a baby to understand. Maybe when he gets older, I can tell him. Great. Demare's gotten a hold of Domonic's amulet again... I wonder if it's possible to deprogram this "shiny object" addiction the baby seems to have.

On November 17, 2004, Neko How... exciting. I never knew taking care of a baby would be so hard! Demare's been a little more cranky lately, but I'm not sure why. Well, I may know why, actually... See, he kept tearing the heads off of his plushies, so I thought I'd take them away for punishment. ...He apparently didn't like that and has been glaring at me every time he sees me for the past 3 days. I don't understand... I gave him some "sparklies", too! Much to Tahki's dismay, but hey. He still pouted, still whined, and still glared. So... much... hate... It kinda sucks, too, because today was my birthday. It's supposed to be a happy day, right? Well, it wasn't... First, Ares decided to tell me today that she wanted to head toward the Great Plains for her quest or whatever. Gee, thanks, Ares... I'll take her tomorrow. THEN Demare started throwing a random fit, screaming and wailing because apparently Tahki had startled him by how cold she is. He was screaming for a good hour, I think... Domonic got him to calm down by tempting him with some juice. Then after dinner, I wanted some cake, right? Makes sense... Birthday = cake. WRONG. Apparently, the cake disappeared, but Domi-kun swears I ate it already. What the hell, I did not devour a two layer devil's food cake topped with white chocolate frosting and tons of chocolate sprinkles and chocolate chips over the top BEFORE DINNER. Honestly... Happy birthday to me, right? ...Right. Maybe now that it's dark and no one can see this growing pudge on my stomach, I'll go check the mail. I wonder if anyone remembered my birthday...? Later that night, Neko I apparently have some very sweet friends. heart I must find something to give them in thanks... Now to hide these new plushies I got before Demare gets to them!
