As mentioned in my other posts I'm a college band nerd. I go to the University of Northern Colorado. I'm a music major, and clarinet is my main instrument. I moslty play bass clarinet and contrabass clarinet in the bands though. I also play baritone it the marching band, after marching clarinet for 3 years in college and 4 in high school. I also play Bari sax in one of our jazz bands, and have played euphonium with some ensembles as well. I'm pretty much the guy that plays whatever is needed. Anyway GO BEARS!

Seton Hall University Pep Band (we don't have a football team). I play piccolo.
We're a reletively small group compared to other schools but we're pretty tight-knit.

Melchiresa I personally am a high school junior. My boyfriend got me interested in the IUP Marching Band (his sister is engaged to a music major there), and he burned me a CD of theirs for an early V-Day gifte. In fact I'm listening to it now, I love their music! They really make me wish I was a brass player. Mr.Zamperini is also a big fan of Duke, and suggests that we mimic their instand style sometimes. I've been thinking I'd do college band, but it depends on how things work with my Marine Corps scholarship... Ahh IUP...their sound comes from the gods! Unfortunately they aren't usually that loud, but I'm willing to forgive them because they are just so plain good. biggrin

EViLgerbilz Just wondering how many college band geeks there are out there. What college band do you play in? What instrument? Even if you aren't in college yet, who's your favorite? Who would you want to play with? I'm in the University of Miami Band of the Hour (HARRRUMPH!!) and wouldn't want to play trumpet anywhere else! I'm in the Kingwood College band and I play the french horn. I was the first horn player that the school had. I am one of the two horns in our Symphonic band and i'm one of the seven people in our band. We are a brand new band! I want to be in the Texas State University marching band!!!! heart

They're so great X3 I love them...my bf, if he does college band, wants to be part of Penn State's

Soon... so soon.
I'm a senior in high school, but am enrolled at ASU, and fully intend to be part of the marching band. That is, if the mooks at Scheduling get off their ARSES and stop scheduling stuff on top of each other...

I'm a melo at Eastern Michigan University and our band is awesome! while we can't really jump into the compition pool with U of M's band right downt he street we definatly hold our own. It's great times! and the best part is that almost everyone in the band is a total band nerd because most of them are Music majors. there are a few weird ones like me that are just doing it becaue Band is my life and I would be lost with out it..

That's almost the opposite of the ASU band... 90% of the marching band is non-music majors. 3nodding
