Quick question: I heard in some camping class that when you have to put iodine in the water you get from lakes, it tastes weird, so if you put some tea in it it'll taste better. So, if you drink tea all the time instead of water, you're still keeping yourself hydrated, right? And if you put milk and sugar in the tea, will it dehydrate you?

Nanie Chama Small hint for prepairing tea, tis best not to boil the water. It tastes better if you bring the water to a near boil. I leaned that at a tea shop not too far away from where I live (only about 2 or 3 hours away...) Thanks, girl! Good to know that! heart Koroleth Quick question: I heard in some camping class that when you have to put iodine in the water you get from lakes, it tastes weird, so if you put some tea in it it'll taste better. Well, if the mixture contains H2O, it will keep you hydrated... but it's better to drink majorly pure water, because with tea and milk we always consume a lotta sugar... and sugar in excess is a no-no, since it helps you put on weight and can even lead you to diabetes neutral But if you can drink sugarless tea, go ahead wink

; o; I just looked at that tea guide and realized there was a tea room where I used to live!
How unfair.
It's such a shame I never found it before now.

I have a great tea recipe. I asked someone on a website about how to make Milk Tea, and so I got the recipe, and I feel that I should share it with you other lolis~
Milk Tea -------- You'll need: Milk Black Tea (in those handy little bags!) Sugar Spoon Shot Glass or small measuring utensil Cup Hot Water
First, bring water up to a boil, or to however hot you like it. While water is heating, put tea bag in your cup. Once water is done, fill the cup about 3/4 of the way up, and steep bag for 2 or more minutes*. Next, take the small measuring utensil of your choice, and fill with some milk. I use a shot glass because it's how much milk you'll need. Pour into tea. Then, sweeten with as much sugar as you want, and VIOLA! Milk tea~ Note: *I steep for about 3 minutes because it gives it more flavor.

I went to WalMart the other day, and I found a free recipe card that was cute and caught my eye.
Pineapple Cheesecake Tartlets ------------ Prep time: 10 min. Cook time: 30 min. Serves 12 ---------- You'll need: 12 reduced fat vanilla wafer cookies 8 oz. reduced fat cream cheese 8 oz. non-fat cream cheese 1/2 cup sugar 1 egg 1 egg white 1 tsp. vanilla 4 cups fresh pineapple, diced 1/4 cup sugar 12 marachino cherries
1.Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. Insert Paper liners into standard 12-cup muffin tin. Place one cookie into bottom of each liner. 2.BEat cream cheesees on low speed in large bowl until creamy. Add sugar, egg, egg white, and vanilla; beat until smooth. 3.Spoon batter into prepared muffin tin, filling each 2/3 full. Bake 30 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool slightly; chill in refridgerator to set. 4.Meanwhile, place pineapple, sugar, and 1 teaspoon water in meadium pot. Cook, stirring frequently until pineapple is soft and syrupy, about 20 min. Cool completely. 5.Spoon pineapple topping evenly on top of each tartlet. Top each with a cherry.

wow.... I didn't know that that many people on Gaia live in the panhandle! I think I am going to try out that tea place some time... biggrin are they crowded there? And if so, I know that they are expensive. I think I'll go there for my birthday instead of having a party, since we have to go on this cruise and for my sister's pageant next week... Lol. Well all I need to know is if I need to make reservations or not. Thank you!

p a r f a i t Heartless_Nanashi heart heart Yay Tea! I opened a Timeless Tea Society at my school, and I must say it is doing very well. Tea is one of the most relaxing, beautiful rituals our world has to offer. It is almost like you are transported to the Victorian era. heart heart ..actually, tea is from China...*her chinese pride compells her to point this out* Tis true, but the Victorians were obsessed with it. 3nodding
