Oh God, so predictable.
But wonderful.
But predictable.
Lonely God, was it? He has been referred to as a God, hasn't he?
Well now.
IT WAS THE BALROG! HAHAHA!

Power to the Ood!
*cough* I loved this episode so much. The scenery is so beautiful... That rock stuck out on the edge of a black hole...
AND NO EARTH IN SIGHT!!!
Also I like the way the messages from the thing in the pit sorta built up bit by bit. And the Ood and their translators... Ood rock.
The only bit I didn't like? The possessed guy's make up. Red eyes and silly grin? So tacky. The Ood do it better.

I loved it! Nice sets, good acting, the Ood looked good. ...and the Doctor and Rose talked about buying a house together. xd
Doctor Who versus Satan! A corny premise, but somehow they've managed to pull it off so far. Of course the Doctor didn't actually see the Devil in part 1, so we'll see how things go next week. I hope they don't ruin the mood by throwing in something silly... like, for example, the Doctor asking "What does God Satan need with a starship?"
The Ood's voices weren't at all what I was expecting based on their appearance, though I suppose that goes along with "We must feed... we must feed... we must feed you if you are hungry." Playing against audience expectations, I suppose. I certainly wasn't expecting the Ood to kill people by tossing their communicator balls at people, of all things! Probably because they look vaguely like Mind Flayers. Or Cthulhu.
I was surprised to see the preview for next week's episode play immediately after the credits, rather than before.

I was fully prepared to hate the episode based on that preposterously silly cliffhanger (why would those aliens onboard a spaceship in the future who might very well have never seen a human for all they knew automaticallly *have* to be vicious carnivores who crave their flesh? Gee, prejudiced much, Rose?) but then it turned out to be such a goofy joke I couldn't help but forgive it :3
Plus when that Ood comes out with 'he will rise up and wage war with the gods' instead of 'try set menu B biggrin ' I couldn't help but laugh. God bless 'em.

Old style Dr Who!
It was too much like the old ones. It reminded me of: - The Sea Devils (cos of the word devil many), - The Green Death where the Dr is trapped down a mine with several glowing green poeple and a hell of a lot of magets - and an episode or two where the dr (still Jon Pertwee) finds a church where all the priests or ministers or whatever worship what they believe to be the devil. But is actualy, suprise surprise, a gert big horned devil-looking alien that lives bineith the church.
It really was old style Dr Who - you had a kind of samy storyline, there were poeple running about in bad make-up and there was the whole 'Oh no the dr's gunna die' thing.
But the Oode were fun.
"What's that?" "It's the Oode." "The Oode?" "Yea the Oode."
Those doors got on my nerves. "Open door 1. Close door 1. Open door 2. Close door 2."
Still can't wait for next week. A bit of old fashioned "the dr can beat everything" thing.

Ooh, I quite liked this one.
The Ood were fantastic. They live to serve humans and are happiest when doing just that. Ood = House Elves in space! I was heartily amused when Hermione Rose asked if they got paid. What's the betting that she starts a society dedicated to their welfare in part two?
The scene after The Tardis had disappeared, with The Doctor & Rose talking about mortgages and settling down was awfully sweet I though. Awkward, but sweet nontheless.

Pirpi-Chan rose: "youre gonna have to buy a mooorgaaage!" doctor: "oh no.. thats it im dying.. i am dying!" XD i laughed. I've seen that reaction in a 4th doctor comic before! I believe his words were "Me? A Mortage? How terrifying!"
