GabbySilverwood I think it's a self defense mechanisum to prevent a single word from getting stuck repeating over and over again inside of your head. Seriously, can you picture how bad that would be? Some people have a syndrome in which that actually happens. They start repeatedly saying or doing something and they can't stop themselves. I forgot the name of it but it was on Opera and HBO I think.

I remember one time when I was writing an essay for school. I was so tired that the word 'there' looked odd and misspelled.

yes! or when you end up saying a word wrong. then when you correct yourself you realize how silly the word is.
or maybe that's just me
