My first spell was a banishment spell....I can't remember it exactly but lets just say it didn't work sad

I think I have been lucky enough so far to not have had a spell that I cannot find the effect of... I think... so I havent been deterred in the early stages, Which is a big advantage I think... Does wonders for your confidence too...
Thats why I tell people to start small =D
and theres no shame in starting in healing headaches and working your way up (Thats what I'm in the process of doing sweatdrop working my way up that is - I heal the odd headache every now and then... but thats hardly an amazing feat)

ooh, that is lucky. Why don'tcha post it in the spell resource? I'm sure people would appreciate a nifty thing like that. Headaches are a pain in the head.

Blegh - I just use symbols like pentacles and runes (e.g. sowilo is a good healer, from memory... shaped like a lightning bolt) and put in a bit of energy along with thinking thought of healing the headache. sweatdrop
Hardly rocket science, but hey - It works well enough...

*sigh* It was when I first started, I was such a loser....
Okay, yes, it was a love spell. I cast a circle (which I barely fit in since I could only have them in my room because of my parents) and had random incense and candles. It didn't occur to me that I should use incense like maybe dragons blood and maybe pink candles to do a love spell, because, alas, I was young. But I did have this cute little rose quartz on the altar. Anyway, I didn't really know what I was doing, so first I asked the Goddess if I should (okay, could) have true love. I came from Christianity where you ask God for everything, so I had taken this unnecessary step first. Then I chanted something under my breath, along the lines of 'True love, true love, come to me. As I will, so mote it be.' For a while I hoped against hope it would work. Well, it didn't. The circle was poorly cast and a few more tools would have helped me better channel the energy. However, I did have a vision of an adult woman (me), a man, and a child. The man was the opposite of all my RP hotties sweatdrop . He was slightly taller than me, muscular, and had a lot of bright blonde, curly hair. He was cute, but not the kind of cute I was thinking of. The vision literally lasted only a half a second then faded, and I didn't think of it again. One day in Drama class, my friend introduced me to her boyfriend. Sixteen, strong, blonde curly hair...and I still didn't think of the spell. Somehow, I managed to win his heart (guys don't like me, so that was strange) and he broke up with her. A grand total of an hour, and we were dating. It was only when I fell madly in love with him some time between the first minute and the first five minutes that I remembered the spell. So yay!

It's good that you got started in a reasonably informed way... some people's first spells are actually black magick, but they wouldn't have thought it at the time (and some may have known it straight out). but your's pretty well resembled what you may do now... except that you'd use better types of candles and incense... I'm glad there were no names mentioned - otherwise that wouldn't be so good...

Well we are having trouble with inactivity and getting new members in...
And people would only have one first spell... so it kind of makes sence that it's dying a bit... Not much we can do about that...

My first spell I did when I was 14. It was a healing spell for my friend who suffers from Chronic Fatigue syndrome. She used to get so weak she couldnt sit up. I made a healing poppet to help her and sent it to her...that was 4 years ago and she hasnt been ill since. ^^
