I'm waiting on Kioshi, which is what I named my Delf El. *squeels* I'm so happy! I've been wanting one of these for years but I worked a crappy job at Blockbuster that barely covered the bills. Now I have a "real" job though and since I got my tax return I could actually AFFORD this. I went from "Oh I may look into getting this at the end of the year" to buying it RIGHT THEN.
Since I'm unoriginal I got the wig and eyes he's wearing on the Luts site, but there was only one shirt I liked in stock and NO pants. *L* So I bought him undies and then some pants on ebay that I HOPE will fit. Otherwise the poor guy is gonna be rather nekkid. And he's the shy type so yeah... that would just be traumatizing.

ARG! I checked the Luts site yesterday b/c I'm apparently masochistic and they had pants! I didn't get pants! stare Cargo pants no less!!! *flails*
My boyfriend thought I should just go ahead and order them but seeing as how I still need to pay bills... not an option! I just have to pray that the SD pants I bought for him fit. I'm told they should.

El has KILLER thighs (and an a** to boot!), but I think you can get them on him. If I can get pants to fit Bastion, I think anything will fit El...
Reila came! (my Seina)
She has really large thighs herself- if you want, I can try on a couple pairs of the pants I have on her, as most BJD sized pants run around the same size.

I've barely looked at the pants I have since they STINK at the moment. Not that it would help, I really only have an idea of how big these dolls are. So many people take photos of just their dolls (understandable) that it's hard to really grasp just what size they are. It wasn't until a friend took a picture of her's with a doll that's about a barbie's size that I really got it. AND I haven't even gotten my doll yet but I'm wanting another. *L* It'll be a while before I can afford another one, and a computer DOES come first. But maybe by Christmas I'll be able to get a Lishe.

Question! I didn't see a place to ask questions and I know that some guilds don't like members (especially new ones) to make their own threads.
Is it okay to use regular human styling stuff on a doll wig? I know the wig I bought was styled in the picture they use for El, and I want to get a similar look. I have styling stuff out the wazoo (I never USE it! Too damn lazy) so I was wondering if it was safe to use and if it'd just wash out afterwards.

It'll wash out of the wig, although I would say with any product, it might be best to cover the dolls face, so residue doesnt settle.

And I've decided that at some point my doll (who I've sorta renamed... in a way) is going to cosplay Count D from Petshop of Horrors. *squeel*
Yeah today I thought of a whole backstory for my doll and thus his birth name is still Kioshi but the name he uses is Kane. It works in the fact that the next doll I plan to get is Lishe. 3nodding
