User ImageMeeting with Ianna Umbridge (Finding)

Ianna Umbridge
A Decent day for the young woman, what with Kay being more independant, she found herself with more free time and less of a headache. At least, when Kay was being good. She'd lost the brattiness, for the most part, but every now and then it just creeped up on her.

Coailiann. Her little girl was growing up so quickly and it both ached and swelled Ianna's heart. Pride and sorrow decided to battle it out often. There really were no winners.

Sighing, Ianna sat down at the desk and stroked the newest wand, "You don't know how you'll hurt your mommy or daddy, do you?"

There was no answer. Of course there was no answer. All Ianna could do was sit and wait for the next guardian to pop up.

Vaguely, she wondered what they'd be like, and when they'd show up.

Raja
"Mu-" The word caught halfway in the leopard's throat and he quickly ammended the sentence. "Da!" Wands!" And the teenager was racing toward the shop to at least peer in the windows. It wasn't actually the most warm day, or Keanu wouldn't have been able to deflect potention child attempts for the feline. Ah yes, no more kids. That was the doctrine Raja was chanting to himself now. No more kids until they were older. Aurelea, Cireanu, Keanu, Arianna, and Jeanus... Yea, he had a lot of work cut out for him. Oh well, he could always make Tai-Yun babysit. That's what he usually did anyway.

Usually it would have been a trio roaming the streets, but although Keanu was managing the summer heat well enough, Ymir had been forced to stay indoors until the brilliant globe fell from the sky. Thus, they were on their own. But Keanu was warding people off as well as the two combined might have. People didn't want to be too close to a the child who had a sword around his waist. They didn't know if it was real, or not. Certainly it was real, Ikurai wouldn't have done anything less, but the fact Keanu was harmless to random passerbys was a fact only the pair knew well.

Which was just what Raja had been hoping for.

"Keanu we're shopping..."

"But my teacher might like that I have one, can't we look?"

"..." An exasperated sigh of knowing he wouldn't win. Keanu had always been stubborn, and now he was getting to big to be hauled off as he had been as a toddler. "Fine, but only for a second. And don't touch ANYTHING!" He pushed open the door, walking into the dusty old shop.

Nothing fancy about this place. If anything it looked a wreck, and in definite need of a visit from Haruki. He'd have it shining within a day, of course he'd never walk into the place to begin with.

Keanu trotted in happily after his recently gender changed parent. He didn't really take note of the woman who was behind the desk, instead eyeing the shelves curiously. He did however manage o behave well enough as to not touch anything.

Raja wasn't all that interested in getting any new knicknacks to toss in the attic for the moment, so instead he wandered up to the desk. "Uh I hope you don't mind him looking... He's just in some magic classes... He won't touch anything." Hopefully...

Kyrianna
Matilda had been oddly silent, lately. Luck would have it that the not-so-young woman was paying attention and the usual ping went off in Ianna's head the moment Raja and his son wandered into the shop.

Plastering a smile onto her lips, Ianna nodded her head, "No, sure, go ahead. .." she paused and rummaged around, pulling the rather large leather book and placing it on her desk. It glittered with gold, and was probably the most interesting thing in the room.

"Maybe your dad could take a look at this for me, though?"

Raja
Keanu glanced up at being adressed. "Eh, da? Yeah, Da you can look at the book while..." He trailed off having spotted another rather interesting wand to look it. "Wow, these all look really old..."

Raja simply quirked an eyebrow at the sight of the book, tilting his head. "Eh, well I guess." It wasn't like he had anything better to do until he managed to drag his son from the room. "What's in it, some ancient text?" Surprisingly enough, that was something Raja knew a little about. He had been researching those ruins until recently. He'd been there when they opened up, he just hadn't expected what came out.

He learned over the desk eyeing the book before reaching over to get a closer look at what it was. Just something to pass the time for a few minutes.

Kyrianna
The minute Raja touched the book, the cover flew open, an invisible wind winding through the pages and blowing them rapidly open until it landed, quite suddenly, on a well-worn page. On the page was a very life-like sketch of one of the wand on her desk, down to the small detail sketched into the wand itself to the details of the wings.

Under the picture read:

"Gelfling. Wand ID 00028. A Soul has been trapped within the confines of the wand. Congratulations, you have become the next guardian to take on the task of raising it from infancy to greatness. We, Ianna and I, have the upmost faith in you to complete your task dutifully. Best of luck,

Matilda."

Ianna grinned brightly. At least she was almost wand free now. The only one left was the...What was it...Water elf? She couldn't remember anymore. Too many had passed through her care.

"Congratulations, it's a girl. How do I know it's a girl? Only girl gelflings have wings like that."

Raja
Oh great, more trouble. Well something like that registered in Raja's head as the pages flew. As the pages whirled to a stop, the thought was confirmed. Definitely more trouble. His ears fell down on each side of his head as he finished reading, glancing up at the woman, then to the wand next to it. "This is a joke right?" More kids, more kids? Hadn't he just been saying NO MORE KIDS. Well in his head, but... "And are you that Ianna person, or Matilda?" Yes, because there had to be some complaint to lodge with one of them, or something.

Dumping kids on people wasn't exactly the kindest thing in the world to do. D-corp had done it(without mentioning the fact Keanu was going to come with a dragon), and then there was the problem of baby shoving in the streets, and... "This really isn't my year..." Came a quiet grumble from the male as he eyed the wand. "So that stick's somehow some kind of kid?"

Keanu on the other hand had been overjoyed at the sight of the whirlwind. It was far more interesting than the wands, and he'd hurried over quickly and taken his turn reading the pages. "So it's a sister?" He chimed, seeming pleased. "Is she a princess? Are gelfling princesses?" The wand looks pretty,a nd breakable, so that seemed to follow the rules with a princess. Besides, there was a magic book involved.

Kyrianna
"Ianna. Matilda's my daughter."

The silver haired woman smiled a little bit at the boy's reaction, "No, she's not a princess, but I wouldn't be surprised if she acted like it. Oh. And a tidbit about Gelflings..."

Her attention was turned to Raja once more, "They're highly sexual creatures. When she hits sexual maturity...Uh...I'd watch out. They're about as bad as Sirens, though there's no concept of jealousy in the gelfling race."

She grinned then. Raja would be in for a looong ride.

Raja
"Alright, well ma'am. Exactly what sort of game are you and your daughter running here?" He glanced down briefly as Keanu eagerly jumped in on the whole situation. No, no, no... "Keanu... Let's not..." Too late, he was being answered, and then came a new... Interesting detail.

"Mm.... I guess." One who acted like a princess was just as good in his book as one who didn't. "Da I can't wait to meet her, when will she be here? What's her name?" He added, back on the high note. Yes, a sister would be good. A nice one to show Arianna how proper nice people acted. "I hope she's like a princess."

Meanwhile Raja was having fun wrapping his mind around the idea of having a sex obsessed kid. Probably the shock of hearing that was what kept him from complaining about his child hearing such things. Dear god... A kid who'd want to... "You've got to be kidding me, and you expect me to believe all of this? As well as to take that stick with me?"

"Da, it's not a stick. It's a wand. They're all wands." Keanu corrected.

"Glorfied sticks, Keanu."

Kyrianna
"Game? No game, I'm afraid..." she was interrupted by a very bubbly looking girl waltzing through what appeared to be a dark void behind a door.

"Hi!"

"Ahem. This is my daughter, Coailiann. Coailiann, this is Raja and Keanu." it was only mildly noticable that neither had given their names. Then again, it was Gaia, things were strange like that all the time.

Coailiann looked from Raja and Keanu and courtsied politely, "A pleasure to meet you both..." she paused herself and turned to Keanu, "I'm Coailiann, I'm a Sidhe!" yet another pause as she noticed the wand, "Oh! You're getting a baby!"

Her attention was once more turned to Raja, "You're lucky! You get one of us!"

Ianna coughed, "I don't think he feels he's lucky, love."

Raja
This had to be the oddest child he'd been given. Ok, sure the test tube leopard kid was understandable, having babies shoved into your arms? That happens... In Gaia. But wands that turned into kids? Yeah... Right... Sure. Then any of that was proven wrong, and he knew he was definitely doomed to parenthood all over again. What he'd been told spelled definitely trouble too...

"Hello..." Came the strained reply from the older feline. Raja was less than pleased to make this acquaintance. However Keanu seemed to perk right up, and a definite smile drew along the fluffy boy's face.

"Hi! I'm Keanu. It's nice to meet you!" The next sentence he might have babble which was rather predictable for him, was cut off by her notice of the wand.

"One of..." Yes, it was confirmed, this was one of the kids. A Sidhe... And this one was...a Gelfling... He glanced at the wand. "So they really turn into kids?" There was a pause. "They aren't going to come with dragons,a nd friends with dragons and..." He gave Keanu a smile. "Ymir's not so bad, but yu have to admit... Citrine... Can be destructive."

"Citrine got Indigo in trouble at school when he accidentally hit a desk with his tail too hard. It flew and hit the wall." Keeanu replied with a nod. "But they don't mean to be, they're both really nice." Then his attention was back to the lovely little girl. "Hmm, do you think my sister will be as pretty as you? I hope she is, she'd be one of the prettiest girls ever if she was!"

Raja knew he was doomed, if he didn't take this stick, wand... Whatever it was meant to be. Keanu wouldn't let him out, he'd take it himself. A sighed escaped the feline. He'd rather not find the wand later that day in the house. "Alright... Fine. I'll believe it. What's the catch?"

Kyrianna
Coailiann flushed, "Well, he's a charmer," she commented to her mother, the white of her hair contrasting the pink blush and bright green of her eyes. She courtsied again, the pink dress being brought out to a small fanfare. She certainly did enjoy compliments.

Ianna chuckled softly and handed the older man the wand, "Go ahead, take it, and then I'll explain."

The minute Raja touched the wand, a small flash of light and a pulsating warmth would be seen and felt. It'd last only a moment but...It was noticeable.

"She recognizes you. When she feels accepted by you, she'll wisp. Then, when she feels as if you're ready for her, she'll grow to a Baby Ghost. And once she feels secure, she'll become a flesh and blood baby."

Raja
Keanu didn't quite get what the comment was supposed to mean. He hadn't mean to be sharming, he just stated what he heoped to happen. Having a pretty little sister to protect and have be the house's princess would be fun. He'd been having trouble finding a princess to protect. Earako wasn't around enough.

Raja knew he was doomed to be stuck with the new kid-stick, and so did as he was told. Mild surprise appeared ont he felines face at the sudden, and out of place glow. Great, according to what the woman just said... This meant the stick knew who he was. Fantastic. "Alright, so I need to wait for a little wisp thing, and then... A ghost." Did that eat souls? "Lastly, it'll become a kid similar to..." He paused recalling the name. "Coailiann?" He asked, lifting a brow.

It seemed more like a plot to have it eat their souls, or something. The woman had seemed all to eager to throw the kid at him. She hadn't said the real catch yet either, just what to expect. Like with Keanu the catch had been a dragon, and Arianna was a hellraiser. She'd probably have broken something expensive to get her way. The only one who DIDN'T cause much trouble was Tsuya. Well that was old enoug to cause trouble. Jeanus, Cireanu, and Aurelea were all kids. They couldn't cause much trouble.

Kyrianna
"Yes. This is their second life. Coailiann doesn't know why she's here, but she does know she died before. She doesn't know how...Or who she was...She won't probably know until she's older..." she shrugged, "Right now, she's the oldest. The others are babies, toddlers or various wispy ghost stages."

Coailiann perked a little, "Yeh...We apparently died horribly and are getting a second chance?" she shrugged, "Right now we has...A....uh...Kitsune? Mommy?"

"Yes, Yashima's a Kitsune."

"And a Drow...'n' a goddess....And uh...an angel and demon...I think..." she blinked.

"Levis and Malum are Yin and Yang, love."

"Oh. Right. Well. Malum's a demon."

"Yes, Malum's a demon despite his angelic front."

Raja
"I see... That's unfortunate." He mumbled, eyeing the thing titled as stick. Yes, even after a sob story he still thought it was a glorified stick. "So this little girl," It had been called a girl. "died in an awful way so now I'm supposed to make sure time doesn't repeat itself?" Sounded logical enough, and just about the kind of gimick someone might pull if trying to get you to take a cursed relic. They'd even gotten some kid in on this deal.

"Aww... Poor sister. I'll make sure no one hurts her like that again!" Keanu chimed, eyeing the wand. "Right, Da? We'll make sure she's really happy." His ears perked as the pair began speaking about the other kids. "A kitsune? Halla's a kitsune... Though I've never seena drow before. I read about them in a book." Yin and Yang however, he didn't understand. Though he got the gist that they might have had to look like well... and angel and demon.

"I see, so they're all still quite young. Well, I suppose I don't have much of a choice. It's not like I could say no and leave her as a stick." 'Because Keanu would have a fit and take it for me, and I'd rather keep tabs on the questionable magical items in my house thank you.' He added in mentally, rubbing his free hand through the long blond bangs. "Anything else I should know? I think I still need to go grocery shopping..."

Kyrianna
"Oh, Yes, you need to see the headquarters."

Coailiann bounced then, "Oh! OH CAN I SHOW THEM!? PLEASE MOMMY?!"

...Well, it seemed like the young Sidhe had gotten into the magical fridge all over again. Great. She was already bounding towards the portal door and waving Keanu and Raja over to her. She disappeared rather quickly with no fancy work.

As they entered the main lobby Via the portal connecting the shoppe and the headquarters, the first thing noticable was the vast...largeness...of it. The high ceilings, edged with gold, the large chandeliers dripping with crystals, the smooth white tile-floors, colorful rugs, and beautiful paintings.

To the left was a large recreational area complete with a large flat-screen television, several rows of various games, movies, video game systems and books. There was a basket of toys in the corner, full of plushies, dolls, cards and various other objects which would appeal to most ages. Included in the area were several comfy looking couches and plush chairs just made for sitting, lounging or bouncing in. It seemed to be heaven on a fluffy carpet. It even had a foos-ball table and an air-hockey table....and for the slightly more food-minded GoTP, a mini fridge always full.

To the right was a large elaborate counter, which seemed to have a force-field of some sort around it, keeping anyone who was not Ianna or Matilda from going behind it. On the counter lay a roster with the names of all the Ghostly children and their guardians, and an appointment book.

From there, it branched off into halls with rows and rows of rooms. Some were storage, some were guest rooms, some were bathrooms, and one very large and ornate door to the end of the hall led to the gardens. "Welcome to MY HOUSE!" Coailiann gleed as they entered, already situating herself on the couch.

Ianna followed, a look of exhasperation on her face, "Welcome to Headquarters. You're welcome here at any time."

Raja
"The headquarters..?" He asked questionably, quickly turning to look at the hyperactive child who wanted to show them this new place.

Keanu however was just as excited, even moreso once he noted that there seemed to be more magic and mysteries involved. He eagerly followed to the door on Coailiann's heels. Raja did the same simply because he was at least attached to the pale leopard boy, even if he thought the stick was all some sort of ploy. He might not believe a word this Ianna lady said, but he was protective of the eleven year old that had just dissapeared through the door.

As he stepped through once more surprise registered, but it was muted due to the constant background voice claiming this was insanity. Thus he simply nodded toward Ianna after she spoke. "Alright, I'll keep that in mind. Thank you." 'I'm not coming back here to your crazy scam place ever again. Unless this thing really is a kid, but I doubt that.'

On the other hand, Keanu was happily eyeing the items. They weren't exactly HIS piece of cake with sugar, but it was really neat. "Wow, before it was all messy, but in here it's all clean. It looks brand new!" He called, giving Coailiann a big toothy grin. "It's an awsome house, but not as neat as Mr. Solom's room." Though it was definitely cooler than his house. He traileda few more steps before glancing back at his Da who was standing neat the entrance with the wand. He still didn't look all that pleased. "Da come on, don't you want to explore?"

Kyrianna
Coailiann beamed, "IT's got a big big big library and a training room with a lot and a LOT of weapons and shinies and....MOMMY has a magic closet."

Ianna nearly headdesked. She sighed and looked apologetically at Raja, "She's a little hyper around new people. Not all of them are like this, though," she smiled warmly then, calmly.

The young girl bounced once, "You'll come back often, right? You're so...Fluffy!"

User Image
Raja
"I've seen and dealt with worse." Escaped the orange eared feline along with a sigh. "I hope this one knows how to behave to some extent." If it was really a kid. "At least she might not curse... Or have a dragon, or be a mixture of god knows what..." On that note, what was a Gelfling? Apparently a sexual oriented little thing, but... this would require research if there was found to be grounds behind the claims this woman had made. "Now... I'd better go collect Keanu before your daughter shows him that weapons closet... or I'll never get to go grocery shopping..." He added, wandering over toward the pair with a sigh.

Keanu had shown mild interested until both ears perked. Weapons? "R-really?" He asked excitedly. "I could learn how to become a REAL hero, and use all the weapons they do in the books and-"

"And how to get food for your siblings that aren't sticks?" Came the voice of the one known as 'Da.' "Keanu, we still need to go shopping. Say goodbye to your friend." He added, working to find a good safe way to keep the wand in his bag. Yes, the ever useful handbag he kept over his shoulder, sadly it wasn't designed for this use. After a bit he managed to prop the wand int he bag in such a way that the delicate wings wouldn't be rubbed off, or broken.

He glanced up at his parental unit slightly downcast, but knowing he would be back. Once his sister was older? "Yeah, I'll come visit! I'll come with my sister, and you can meet her once she's here, and not a wand anymore!" He chimed happily, before waving, and dutifully heading over to Raja. Keanu wasn't the brightest kid bookwise, but he quickly learned about people. Thus he knew his begging only worked so well on Raja, and where those limits were. Thus that in mind, he knew it was time to get snacks. "Bye bye Coailiann!"

It's a stick. She gave me a stick, and hyped it up. No one will be able to change that no matter how much they claim it's someting else. I've been handed kids on the street, and blackmailed into taking care of them before. This... Well this is something new. Giving me a rather fragile stick, one that I'll need to definitely keep an eye on. (I'm hoping Ichigo doesn't chew off one of those paper thin wings.) I'm pretty sure I need to keep it with me anyway, hopefully this doesn't get me too many odd comments when I go to work with the Ruins. Oi-vey...

Ok, so supposedly I was 'chosen' for this wand, that's what that lady... What's her name, Ianna, told me anyway. The thing is, did I ask to be chosen? I don't even know what's going to come out of this thing, well aside from the fact it's a baby girl(or so she says). Is it going to rip apart enough dresses to eat up one of my paychecks like Arianna, or just end up with hobbies like Keanu that leave the house in a wreck. And the other kids... Will they have things like dragons, or other habits that wreak as much havoc as Ymir? Then again... Ymir never knocked the door down...

Mind you I'm not going to mistreat the kid, no... No one deserves to be treated badly(certainly one horrid death is enough), but did I really want User Imageanother? I definitely need to expand the house a bit though, more work I guess. I really hope I can find a hotel that won't mind dragons, or I'll just bunk with Naito. She owes me, and her kid Paxton already has a dragon, so it should be fine. Then again... I'll need to explain the accident with the 'jeallybean' to her won't I?

I guess I'm just left with the feeling of utter impending doom. Just what is this kid going to be like? What will it look like? And will it actually behave well enough that I won't need to fear for the household on a daily basis?

I guess only time can tell really, I'll just do what that lady said. But I swear, if this thing so much as HINTS that it's going to try and eat my soul(because there has to be a catch), or something freakish like that... I am giving it to Enzu, or Ymir as a chewtoy.

...

Wait, scratch that. Ichigo can have it. I don't want anything soul eating near Keanu, and those two fluffballs tend to hang around him. Though Enzu can't leave the house often yet...

Still, let's hope this little wand I've been given is as harmless as it looks. Despite being a stick, it's a very pretty stick. Someone spent a long time making it as nice as it is...

Hmm... but the biggest question... If this really is a kid, and it's a girl... will it really be a sex monger like that woman said? I don't think I want my child to try to sleep with half the boys as soon as she's old enough. What if she got pregnant and... why am I even worrying about this? It's bound ot be a trick. What nonesense. I'll be using this thing for fetch with my cat just as soon as it proves I was right. I just hope Keanu isn't too let down, I think he did want to see that headquarters place again, and he wanted a sister too...

Raja
((Here's a piccu of Jeanus for Reference: X))

"Guhd rock?" The young mixed breed child inquired holding up what appeared to be a plain old rock. Simple, gray, with a few little bumps hither and thither to please whatever strange creature might take interest in it. Yep, nothing special about that rock. Still, for a three year old, it might have seemed extremely complex, and intriguing. Thus, the older male knelt down and rubbed the bi-colored hair fodnly.

"Of course, it's an excellent rock. Good find Jeanus." The feline stood up again, adjusting the pack over his shoulder. Within it was that stick, wand thing the lady had given him. Out of the flap shone the pale translucent wings in all their lavender glory. With a color scheme like that he really did hope that it was a girl. Any boy that was purple might end up with too much bullying. Even if that womanhad said it was a girl, Raja didn't completely trust her word. It was for that reason Raja tended to worry about Cireanu, that poor boy looked more like a girl than a boy, and purple hair to boot. Still, he'd manage to keep some sanity for them. Just maybe.

"Stick, you'd better be a girl like the woman said." He called looking over his shoulder at the thing, before back to the freckled boy. Ah yes, his son. Sort of. He'd ended up with the boy by having forcefully shove the bundle in his arms then run off, a rather intriguing way to get a kid. Thankfully the young mixed breed was a darling child and got along with him well. Or so he thought anyway, Jeanus had failed to notice the difference between a female Raja, and a male Raja. Raja had just chocked it up as being that Jeanus was too young to realize.

"Is guhd rock. Guhd rock in pahk." The toddler chimed happily exaimining the path they were on for other 'good rocks.' He was currently adorned in a labcoat that drug on the ground, something he'd borrowed, or stolen, from his mother when he'd first arrived. Now his mother was a father, due to some odd happenings, and since the coat didn't fit. Well who cared how ruined it got, just as long as he didn't end up getting hurt because of it.

The Nozomi
"C'mon, Yashi!" The childs voice carried in the air, nasal and authoritative as he dragged his brother through the streets. Iamel, the child who was speaking so, was half a head shorter then his younger brother and reed thin, red, orange and yellow hair sticking up in all directions despite his ponytail. "I need new shoes and Shiniee said I had to bring someone so you COME."

"But.." Yashi whined, moving as quickly as he could behind Iamel, bright blue shoes clacking against the ground. Iamel paid no heed, pulling the fox more until the boy stumbled, almost falling.

His outfit was constricting enough when wound like that - pulling just made it worse! The be-winged brother yelped, moving to help his fox-sibling, but he got pushed away gently by the fox.

"You." The former messanger was pointing at the male Raja, little face screwed up into a curious little frown. "You have one. A watage."

Raja
User ImageThe boy saw the pair moving along before the older man. Actually Jeanus watched the ordeal for a while seeming amused to watch the fluffy-tailed thing be drug along by the little thing until it fell over. He even gave a small jovial giggle at the sight before babbling in his usual tone. "Ned guhd rock nah fall. Luk luk-luk guhd rock is." He lifted up the rock he'd previously shown to his parental unit as if to hold it out to the boy who obviously wasn't in range to take it anyway. Alas, he was but a child, what could one expect.

Raja on the other hand understood the statement. Kind of. Everything, but that... watage? What was a watage? He frowned slightly before crouching down with his hands on his knees to get a better look at the boy who was on the ground. Fluffy fox ears, tail... Kind of odd. No not really, not considering his household. He really couldn't say that when Jeanus was sitting there, and god knew what all made up that odd little kids mixture. He knew there was elf and newt in there, but he hadn't yet figured out the rest. "Pardon?" He tilted his head to one side before looking at Jeanus quizically, perhaps that was what the boy was. "Are you talking about him? His name is Jeanus, but is that what he is? I'm not quite sure what he is really... Aside from being a child that is."

"Nuht a wata-wata! Is a Jehnus, nuh wata-wata!" The boy protested quickly letting both hands drop to the ground a few times in protest. As he did the rock hit the ground as well with a loud clack each time, which soon became the boy's new game. How asily amused he could be. "clah-clah cluk-cluk!" He attempted to mimic the noises as he continued to pound the thing on the ground.

The feline flicked an ear shaking his head lightly before running a hand through his hair to shove some of the strands out of his face. "Mind telling me what a watage is? Then maybe I can say if I actually have one."

The Nozomi
Yashimas eyes simply narrowed into something very close to distate, copper-colored orbs (or in this case, slits) nearly glaring at the other male. It wasn't that he DISLIKED this feline-esque man...but he had a very, VERY feminine presence in his bag.

he didn't dislike women, either. Really. Akuti just made him uncomfortable...honest. It was just strange people who scared him, or his new principal. She was weird. Women in power... shudder.

"Your watage." The fox stated once more, voice almost cold despite the cute exterior. Those sandles skirted slowly around the child towards the man, reaching over him to poke at the wand. His own wand, in all of it's shimmering glory, was peeking up from out of his sleeve, that little fox tail falling free. "The fluffy-thing that will come from the wand. You have one."

"Yashi, you're SCARING him. Not everyone pops out of a wand, you know." Iamels voice was getting snarky now, pale fingers grabbing at the youngers sleeve. "Just because you and Kay--"

Yashis grumpy look shut the bird up.

Raja
User ImageThis boy simply wasn't making a good impression with that glare. That was what the man thought while waiting briefly for the reply. Still when he restated the word and finally tapped the top of the wand that was poking out of the bag some understanding came. "Oh, you mean the sti-" He paused momentarily midsentence perhaps thinking better. This kid had a wand too, and bringing it up... Coming out. Was this kid actually one of the ones that was supposed to come out of them? The small boy who had accompanied the fox's statement seemed to prove the point, and with realization both of the orange eared male's ears fell. Oh dear, it was actually a kid.

A kid who would be obsessed with sex. A daughter who would be obsessed with sex... A...

"Oh god no..." Came the quiet mumble before he flashed back to reality. "Er you mean the wand. Yes... Uh.... She's. Well I was told she'd a gelfling. Some lady, Ianna, gave me the wand. It's a wand you know, not a watage. Why did you call it a watage?" Maybe he just spoke odd, like Keanu had when he was younger. Still... Keanu hadn't been that bad had he... Maybe.

As for Jeanus, he'd given up on the rock and decided the bird-like creature was his new friend. Pushing himself up he half cralwed, half toddled up to the creature, the lab-coat he wore dragging along behind him as always. "Fethy-feth thingy name? Fluff-fluff thingy name? Ki-ki da-da es Ra-Ra. Jenus is me. Name?"

The Nozomi
Yashi may have looked cute but he wasn't a shitty-sunshine type of kid. "The stick," He reiterated, nodding along with the adult. Eyebrows arched a little on his forehead, head tilting to the side. The humanoid obviously hadn't believed Ianna... Not many people did. His own tousan had, but only because of Kay and Iamel - magical little beings. Bastards.

"You didn't believe her, did you." Yashimas voice was cool, taking the wand out of the bag to study it. His fingertips were just barely holding it, an expression of near-disgust on his features. "It's a girl." The word was said as if it were a curse, quickly offering the wand back to the feline. "Very, very much a girl."

He took a quick step back, hands moving to his hips. "Because it IS a watage. it will become a fluffy thing - a fog, a cloud. A watage. That's what I call them, until they have names and bodies."

Iamel crouched down, white wings fluttering as his little humanoid features took in the toddler. While not a people person himself, he DID have a great fondness for littler beings. He was an older brother, after all - the oldest! So his fingers moved to poke gently at the little boy, head tilting to the side.

"I'm 'Mel," The woodpecker stated cheerfully. "You're Jenus? Hi Jenus. Were you playing with a rock? I like rocks."

((Iamel, for reference: http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a196/Disinclined/Birds/woodpeckerkid.jpg
Patricks oldest and surrogate mother sometimes. XD))

Raja
User ImageHe gave a light laugh as the boy finished the word for him. Then both brows raised as the foxlike child continued to talk while taking the wand from the bag. It must have been harmless enough since he was another of the children. Still with the thought that this was infact going to be one of his children now the usual protectiveness was setting in. The same that surrounded all of the man's children. "Yes, I didn't exactly believe Ianna. Her story was a bit odd, and I didn't feel like dealing with it, but I gues thee isn't much denying it really. And she said that she was going to be a girl..." He added taking the object as it was offered and glancing back to the bag as he carefully tucked it to where it had previously been. He'd taken great detail in making sure it remained unharmed, far more than he had earlier the in the day.

"Is that so? A watage then. Perhaps I should stick with the term then?" He asked seeming more amused with the idea than anything. A fog huh? The lady had said something about that right, perhap it would happen soon. "I guess I do have a watage at the moment." He added.

The boy beamed at the bird. "Mel-Mel." At the mentio of rocks he quickly retreated momentarily to retrieve the good luck rock he'd had earlier. "Is guhd rock. Make guhd hap'n." He stated nodding eagerly. "Mel-Mel think guhg rock too?"

Raja paused momentarily in his conversation with the rather grumpy fox to pat Jeanus on the head. "Jeanus, your name is Jeanus." He corrected quietly. "And I'm Raja. Not Ra-Ra. Raja." Obviously this was a habit they had gained with time.

Yashima White
Poor Raja. He hadn't yet discovered that people liked to touch the wands and hold them as if they owned them. Silly, silly Raja. Yashimas own wand, even when he was holding it (ESPECIALLY, he found), had often been the victim of an attempted snatch-and-grab.

When it came to younger siblings the damn thing was a free-for-all. Yashima studied the mans movements and protectiveness, white eyebrows rising high on his hairline. "So Ianna's finally telling people their genders?" His childish voice was almost scornfull, nose wrinkling up a wee bit. "It's about time. She used to just send them to me and make me cry."

A shrug and a grump later, Yashimas tail flicked, leaning closer to stare at the man. "So why do you have cat ears? Are they fake, like girls in the cartoons, or are you part cat like cat-b***h?"

He took too much after Iamel. Mordreads 'affectionate' nickname from the eldest child had rubbed off. Damn.

Iamel beamed right back, taking the rock to study it. After a moment of contemplation, it was handed back to the toddler. "It's a good rock," He agreed, "A very good rock. He says his name is Boo."

Raja
User ImageNo, Raja didn't know. The children around his house tended to be too busy causing their own havoc to snag the wand. However he had noticed that the household feline, it was part devil most people would swear, had taken a severe interest in the wand. Mainly in making sure it was chewed up and destroyed, obviously Ichigo had yet to fulfill her desires involving the wand. Still, cats were good at biding her time. Raja knew that well enough.

"Well... somewhat." The man shrugged. "She just knew because apparently only female gelflings have these wings." He tapped the tip of the wand with one finger as he spoke. "But that wasn't fair of her to upset you over something like that, still why would you cry about it?" Though considering the fox seemed to have a less than friendly attitude toward things it seemed like he might have cried simply because he disliked the issue of actually dealing with someone else. Yes, if anything the child was coming off as somewhat of a stuck up brat. The wand... watage... had better be a girl, a polite girl. He didn't need another hellion of a child in the house, nor an ill-tempered one.

And if Raja hadn't already had a mildly bad taste from the boy's actions so far the choiceof words didn't help. "They're real, not fake, and I'd kindly request you watch your mouth around Jeanus. He doesn't need to learn that kind of language." There was a touch of annoyance in his voice as he spoke before glancing to see if Jeanus was paying attention. Thankfully he didn't seem to be, hopefully he wouldn't have to deprogram the child from using any swear words later. Jeanus tended to repeat things... A lot.

"Boo! Is Boo-Boo rock?" He nodded eagerly. "Boo say anehting else? Guhd Boo rock nuh talk to me. Guhd rock can talk to Mel-Mel?" The boy had taken an immediate liking to the bird, partially because he was an odd looking creature, and that he had enough patience to go along with his games. Of course Jeanus assumed that this Mel really did like the rock as much as he did.

The Nozomi
Yashima just shrugged at the curious mans question, hopping back quickly on his clacking sandles. The colors of the man were intersting, but they only held the foxes attention for so long.

So the little girl had wings. ********. Amazing, even. While he was coming off as an stuck-up, ill tempered brat... Well, one day Raja would see the light, Yashi was sure of it. The man just had no social tact at all! Bringing a GIRL wand out like that... The fox shuddered, head shaking a little.

"What language?" This time, however, Yashima looked truly clueless. His ears laid back and his face twisted up into an expression one could only call 'cute and disgruntled'. "I didn't say anything bad." The other mans tone made him take another step back, however, a hand moving to tighten around his wand, almost defensively.

"Yashi, be nice," Iamels voioce was distracted, paying more attention to the kid and the rock then his sibling. He grinned, nose wrinkling slightly. "Mel can kinda talk to rocks, if they want him to. But Boo just says he likes being Jeanus' friend and.." His head cocked, as if listening to something, "Nope, I think that's it!"

Raja
User ImageA lot of people found Raja to be interesting, but not because of his appearance. There were quite a few odd things about the man, things he didn't bring up with new people. The jelly bean incident, exactly how he came to be, which was why he didn't state that was was part cat. Oh, explaining that was too much trouble. And his job, he definitely didn't want peole knowing about his job. Though Jeanus didn't help with that, exclaiming that 'Da-da made boom-boom!' Loudly in a random store theother day didn't exactly do him much good. Really Jeanus would need to learn that either he should shush about work, or he wasn't coming with anymore. Even if he did seem to love the things around there.

As for bringing something female out with him... Well the idea that some people might be disgusted with the thing had never occurred to him. Certainly the boy's actions just seemed to be him having a temper tantrum for no reason, not something he really condoned. Still is wasn't his place to say who was good and bad. Someone elses kid was their problem until they started messing with one of his in the wrong way.

"What language? Don't you realize? What you just asked if I was the same as. Cat-b.." He let his voice trail off after the first letter giving the boy an annoyed look. "You can't say that around little kids, what if Jeanus started repeating that, it's a very bad and rude word to call someone. I don't want him saying it." It was likely a good thing that Raja didn't realize Keanu had once thought that word about woman while watching the two bicker. Then again, Raja also probably didn't realize that it slipped oh of his own mouth more than he realized. Of course, that only happened when he was angry. "So mind your mouth around children, if your parents don't mind that you talk like that fine, but I will not have MY son speaking like that."

It could be said a well known fact around the household cute didn't work too well on Raja. He lived in a house with a son who used to be the cutest thing alive, Raja's own words, that was more trouble than anything out of hell. And Arianna could be considered cute... when she wasn't scowling, yelling, causing havoc, or cursing to hell and back. It was likely a good thing she wasn't here. "Mind your manners, if you ever want friends you should behave nicely around people unless they do something to offend you." Of course, he didn't realize that having a female wand alone was enough to offend this boy.

"Nice-nice be Yasii!" Chimed the boy mimicking his newfound friend. Of course he didn't really understand the reason for it, nor did he bother to look up. His attention was still on the rock who was now named Boo. "Mel-Mel talk rock-rock! Jenus want talk rock! Be guhd fren with Boo-Boo!" He peered closely at the rock as if trying to hear it, his tail waving back and forth across the ground eagerly. "Boo-Boo talk to Jenus?"

The Nozomi
The older male giving him such a stern and, in his eyes, angry lecture made the fox sink down into himself. Sure, he was a cranky little b*****d but he was little...which meant he was kind of stupid. Stupid in the way adults would see it anyway.

His ears laid further on his skull, shoulders hunching up and arms tightening around the wand. "I didn't say anything WRONG!" The little fox yelled at Raja, tail poofing up twice its normal size and voice raised to a shrill little shriek from the boy. "YOU'RE rude! That's what we call my daddys catbitch and Iamel told me it was 'kay and he never said it was BAD!"

Iamels head jerked up at this, small tan face paling a little bit. "Yashi, why are you yelling? What's going on?"

"He's telling me I'm rude and bad and saying things that aren't nice! And he's talking to me like I'm an IDIOT!" The fox twisted on Raja once more, yukata flapping, and waved his little wand in the mans face. "I am NOT an [IDIOT! So you stop being mean or I'll bean you over the head!]"

Hearing his brother revert into Japanese, Iamel had no choice but to abandon his newfound friend and rock and grab at the fox, dragging him back. "Calm down! Yashi!"

User Image
Raja
User ImageRaja might not have meant for it to come across as treating the boy like an idiot, but is probably had. Raja wasn't exactly used to giving these lectures, with his oldest son it was usually yelling at him to get off the roof, or explaining 'dangerous' yet again. Not that it got through to the boy. Tsuya had never been a problem, and even if Raja talked like this to Arianna she'd just come back with a new string of cursing. Nope, not his usual cup of tea to give lectures to people who might actually take offense.

Both eyes widened in shock as the boy suddenly yelled , before once more annoyance took over. How couldn't it NOT be wrong! He thought his family was messed up, atleast they didn't call peoplle things like that as names. "Well it IS wrong! I don't care if you're dad said it was alright to call someone that it's rude, it's treating them BADLY! How can you think so little of someone elses feelings!" He crossed his arms annoyed. "I can't see how anyone would think raising you in a such a way is proper! Iamel was just as confused as you, this is your father's fault. But you need to learn to admit when you don't know what you're talking about. That word! It's degrading to women and rude! Horribly rude!" Certainly the man shouldn't have been yelling at a child, but that particular term did ring fairly home with him. He was actually a woman at mind still, and seeing a fellow woman, another feline one no less, called such a thing not only angered him on the level of cursingin front of his child. But it also felt like a personal insult. "If telling you you're wrong is rude then certainly I want to be rude right now!"

Jeanus was a bit too young to understand what the fight was about, but he knew a fight when he saw one. The rock was quickly forgotten as his father began yelling and the once joyful look was replaced with trembling lips int he beginning of a good cry. Then the fluffy fox-boy was yelling something at Mel-Mel in another language. Something about idiots at the start. "N-no... loud bad-bad... No yehl..." It wasn't as if the little whine would do much good anyway.

Raja didn't really know what the boy was saying, but he knew the language he was speaking. Haruki would have known, but then again... Haruki wasn't here, nor would have have even had this conversation. He'd have already smacked the boy atop the head and walked off. Raja knew all too well, he'd had the same treatment from the man too many times. thus the threat probably wouldn't have held much merit over him. "Hmph, if you act like a child you will be treated like one!" And ill-temptered child no less. "I'd be ashamed if my son ever acted like you're acting now!" Certainly his children would never act like this brat.

User ImageThat's Not My Sister (Growing Entry)
Another day int he good house of everyones favourite, or not so favourite, feline spelled more fun events. Or one would think. Keanu had been charged with misconduct in the backyard and was forced to practice his writing again. It actually made sense, the boy was twelve no and still had sloppy hand writing. He had no excuse either. Even with the claws his hands were normal enough. At least for a kid like him. The boy was boredly tapping the table starring at the one object of even slight interest that had been left in sight.

The wand, his little sister to be. The paper before him with a few scrawled sentences stating that he'd been practicing that day, and even out with Ymir on a hike in the very early morning, were rather boring. He'd lived them already, they didn't hold any real significance save to further his training. However, writing down every tiny step he made with his training wasn't something he intended to do. Nor did it seem needed in the least. Thus this had to be one of the more useless punishments every. If only he'd realized the real point of it was to make that slop of lines just a bit neater. Instead he was simply starring at the ever lifeless wand on the table. Raja had set it there after arriving home from work that day, then gone promptly to flop on the nearest couch for a nap. Definitely not a good day at work.

Which didn't help Keanu at all, he was still stuck in here until Raja came back.

A sigh escaped the boy as he spn the pencil a few times in his hand starring off blankely at the wall. Then a slight movement caught his eye. At first it was a tiny little little puff. Just a little thing really, but still it was something new. A sign that the lady HAD been telling the truth. "DA! DA!" Was the sudden yell from the kitchen.

"Whaaat..? You aren't done yet..." Came the slightly annoyed reply from the other room.

"MY SISTER! She's coming out! LOOK!" The boy was avidly leaning over the table now getting closer to the growing puff of smoke. The boy was almost tempted to try and reach out for the thing due to that insatiable curiosity he had. However, the arrival of a certain orange eared feline stopped the action. So instead they both just stared in awed silence as the small puff became a larger puff, and then... stopped? It just halted in it's growth wavering as a little cloud around the tip of the wand. "That's... not my sister." was the first thing to break the hushed silence.

"No... it's a watage..." Was the reply that followed up. Along with a quiet yelling in his head that he shouldn't use a word made by that brat.

"A watage?"

"It's er... what you call the wand when it has a wisp... The boy I met said they sort of wisped for a while? Then they get a form..."

"So it's still going to be my sister, right?"

"Of course, it just needs more time, then when it feels safe... It will become a baby girl." And then Keanu would have his little sister to dote on. A cute one to dote on.

"I hope that it doesn't take long, I really want to meet my little sister..." The boy inched closer along the table toward the wand as if speaking to it. "Come out soon, kay? I'll make sure no one ever hurts you, like a good big brother!"
User Image
The thing only continued to waver near the tip as it had before, moving softly with the breeze created by the pairs movements. Obviously this stage still wasn't very responsive to what went on around it. Or at least that was what Raja assumed at this point. "Guess we need to double the guard against Ichigo... Now it moves on it's own, she'll be twice as likely to want to eat it." The feline mumbled, rubbing his head with an akward sigh. Oi vey, more trouble to deal with.

"I can watch her! Practice for when she's a real little sister, and so she knows me even before she's my sister." The boy exclaimed reaching out to pick up the wand. He was careful not to move it too fast, for certainly he didn't want to harm her. This was his sibling, his little princess of a sister to watch over. Nothing would ever hurt her as far as he was concerned. "I'm going to go show her to Ymir! He needs to mee-"

"No you're not." Broke into the boy's speech as the man lightly lowered the child's hand back to the table. "You're going to finish writing. Once you're done, THEN you may show Ymir. As long as you're very careful. If you break it your sister will never arrive." Came the dangerous parently tone that Raja rarely took. Alright, not so rarely... Keanu managed to cause the feline to need to act like a parent more than any of the other children. Even Arianna was just a bunch of yelling.

"Bu-" The boy sighed, slumping back into his chair in annoyance. "I know, I wouldn't let the watage break. I'm going to take good care of her... But why do I have to finish? What's the point."

"So that you learn not to brak things in the backyard when you play." Came the all to happy chime from Raja as he swiftly turned from the table and made his way back towards the other room. "Now watch your sister, make sure Ichigo doesn't try to eat her. I'm taking a nap." And with that the incident of the moment was over.

The question was what new problems would this small wisp cause in the house?

User ImageWhat do you call it..? Oh yes, life. (Dear Diary)
Ah, life moves on.

In that endless annoying way that it does.
User Image
I'm not sure what to think sometimes. Is Keanu more dangerous, or the cat? Keanu loves his sister, make no mistake. Adores that wata- stick a lot. Still, Keanu is a reckless child, having him take it for a walk is like telling Ichigo to have fun chewing the thing. No, I think until she's a bit less fragile it's best to keep an eye on her myself. For just a bit longer anyway.

Still, the house moves on as always. Arianna might have made a bit of progress..? She's talking to Issale now, which can be both good and bad. At least it keeps her from getting into fights with Keanu. That could be a disaster, they might catch the wand in the progress too.

Tsuya.... I'm not sure what to think about Tsuya though. He's been very quiet lately, more than usual. He's hiding in his room a lot, it seems like he worries about something now. I hope he's not having some problem, he should just talk to me about it if he is. Still, he is part demon, I doubt I can really relate much to him.

Yes, about as much as I can relate to a stick. No matter what they say, what it is now, I still can't help thinking it's a stick with smoke. And if one more policeman stops me to ask if I'm high I'm going to punch them.

Are magic sticks that rare? Wait why am I even asking that, of course it's not common. But still this is well... Gaia. There are wierder things right?

Like Laiou... Ah, proof that children come in the oddest ways. Laiou was my pendant, but now... He's a child.

One that hates the dark. I need to get him a better nightlight I suppose, he started crying last night again. I hope this little girl doesn't end up so frightened. One child is enough. Keanu may be tiring, but children with fears are even worse I've learned.

Then again... I suppose I just need to wait and see.

User ImageThis place again...(Part 1) (Private Roleplay)
Raja
Ah yes, that place. Well when there was no other way to get answers, getting them from the source was th ebest bet. He'd talk to that Ianna lady, theone who gave him the watage.

DAMMIT! There he went using that word again. The one that brat had called them. That just messed up the feline's mood a bit more as he closed his eyes. No, no... calm. Deep breaths. Ah much better, back to being calm. He'd already went off the handle being angry with one kid, they couldn't all be bad. He certainly didn't need all of the children hating him, it wouldn't be the environment to raise a child around, not when he'd likely need to bring the girl in for checkups right?

Although it was still hard to imagine the wand as a child. Even witht he mist forming around the tip in a cloud as it did, it was simply hard to picture it. His eyes moved down to check ont he winged lavender thing that was poking out of his bag as he moved along toward where he'd found the shop before.

Today was going to result in some answers. Answers and informing that woman of the bad seed that was the kitsune child he'd met. Certainly letting those parents raise a child like that wasn't in her plans, right? No, of course not.

"Da-da we there?" The boy called cheerily from the feline's back. The orange tail poked out from the end of the labcoat. It was pearly white for once, seeing as how Raja had stolen it t wash it the night before. till the bicolored haired boy was as curious as ever. He'd clung to Raja at the mentio of going to some new headquarters place and ended up getting a piggyback ride from the father figure. "Wan' see place." He added trying to pull himself a bit higher up to look ahead and tightening his grip around the man's neck as he did.

Giving a quick gag Raja worked to loosen Jeanus' arms as he nodded. "Almost there. Just around the corner." He replied quickly spotting the shop as he rounded the corner. Right on through and into the back. He'd been told he could come anytime, so this had to be alright.

"Misty from here?" The boy chimed to further a statement he'd heard earlier. His father had been babbling about the wand and stuff, and thus it meant that it had to do with Misty. That's what the child had dubbed the stick anyway.

"Yes, this is where I was given the wand." He stated as he shoved the door open. He didn't see anyone at first glance in the shop, so he moved quickly toward the back which he'd been shown as being an entrance to the target area. Headquarters, now just don't get distracted.

However that didn't last long.

As soon as the door was opened a delighted gasp came from the boy who was still clinging to his back. "Da-da is fancy there place!"

"Yes, but-"

"Esplore place?"

He really needed to learn not to let the kids come with him on business trips.

Kiarna
Kierla was already lounging on a couch.

Actually lounging wasn't the right word; she was sleeping.

One couldn't really blame her. Aricia had to be the most energetic kid in the world when it came to jam jars. Apparently she had thought they were sparkly. The perfect toy to...throw around.

An hour of cleaning up splattered jam and shattered glass later, Kierla had brought her troublesome baby over to the HQ. There, at least, anything broken wouldn't be hers.

Aricia certainly was hard at destructive work. It was just something she liked to do. Currently, she was gnawing at a table leg, pausing only to screech a "GEE!" at the newcomers, then resuming her chewing.

Raja
Oh the place screamed of toys, and new things to the found toddler. He quickly began to wriggle trying to free himself, and the fact that if he moved to much he might start strangling his father was what got him his wish and he was allowed to slide to the ground after Raja crouched down. Not that giving the child freedom got Raja any closer to his goal.

The loud noise quickly atracted the hard to miss boy's attention. The child's wings reminded him mildly of his hair. Of course he had white hair, but the red... No his hair was much darker thanthat, reddish still. A browny red. His father had a color he called it, but the word didn't mean much to a toddler. Certainly not one who was about to find out just what was with this winged creature. It was strange like his fluffy spotted cat sibling. "Wing-wing like icey drag-drag!" The boy chimed as he tried to scamper over toward the child who was making a mess of the furniture within her range.

This... was not a good start at all. "Jeanus, no..." Came the useless plea from the man as he moved forward to snatch up the mixed breed of a boy. Not only had Jeanus messed up any chance of a quick speedy move to business, but he was getting to see another interesting display with a child. Chewing furniture? Would his... The man glanced at the wand in his bag. "You are not allowed to eat the couch..." He stated under his breath as if the wisp could hear him before turning his attention back to the orange tailed child. "Jeanus we need to-"

Useless. Jeanus was too busy peering at the child who he'd now made it up to. His tail waving in and out of view from under the coat he had on. Raja had shorted it a bit so he didn't drag on the floor as much, as well as the boy having grown a bit. Still the thing was obviously too big for him, and it was a cloth covered hand that reached out to poke at the wings. "Wing-wing like Ymir drag-drag. You drag-drag?"

Kiarna
Aricia, for once, paid no attention whatsoever to the other people in the room - chewing on the table required her full attention and usage of skills!

But she certainly noticed the poke to her wings. It was as if it had come from nowhere, and completely surprised her, causing her wings to suddenly flare out in their full glory before retreating again, this time fully, into her back. "GAAAABOO," she mumbled around the wood in her mouth, eyes sliding around to stare curiously at the new person.

The boy's idle chatter, however, had woken Kierla. With a loud groan, she opened her eyes blearily - then, realizing there were other people in the room, snapped up to a stiff sitting position. "Hello," she said as flatly as possibly.

Raja
"Gaaaaboo..?" The child tilted his head to one side staring at the creature. This was a gaboo then? "You not drag-drag thing?" He added seeming to find it a bit hard to down that not all things with wings were dragons. Oh sure, the red head loud girl had wings, but they were on her arms. Not like this one. This one had wings on her back, like Ymir dragon thing. The boy glanced off for a moment ignoring the waking woman before looking back at the girl, seemingly oblivious that she might not grasp anything he said. "Is gaboo mixed type drag-drag?" Because perhaps this was another kind?

Yes, that had to be it! Raja had said that Ymir was a mixture of a frost and silver drag-drag thing. So that meant that this girl could be another type? It made perfect sense! "Gaboo is drag-drag new thing!" He exclaimed proudly nodding his head. He'd made anew discovery just like da-da the scientist. This was something Jeanus could be quite proud of.

"Jeanus..." Came the slightly quiet pleading tone as the feline cast a slightly apologetic look at the woman who'd just woken up. "Uh, hello. I'm sorry if we're bothering you. It's just that Jeanus hasn't been here before and-" The cat paused as he watched in slight horror as the curious child took his discovery moment further.

No longer was it a gentle poke, but rather a tug to find out how sturdy the moving wings where. "Why wing-wing odd like hair?" The boy mumbled narrowing his blue eyes slightly as he shifted to get a better look at the things. "No match like Ymir drag-drag thing wing-wing." Before the boy could do more he was snatched up along with a few nervous laughs from the blond man.

"Jeanus we do not pull peoples wings, I explained that with"

"Is nah Ymir drag-drag wing-wing. Is like loud girl feath-feath wing-wing."

"Yes, but it's not nice to tug them."

"Is nah?"

Thank god, he'd gotten the point across. "Yes, it's not nice. Not even if you're trying to learn should you do that to people." He lef tthe boy with that thought for a moment before giving the woman a slight smile. "Er, yea... sorry about that too. He's not usually like this." Oh, but that wasn't true. Jeanus always wanted to learn something, a habit he'd icked up from his father. "And... uh..." The fact that the table was damp had just hit Raja again. These children... if this was another wand one, they caused a lot of trouble.

Kiarna
Aricia now abandoned her table completely; there was a few noticable teethmarks, remarkable, considering she only had one tooth. This fact she proudly displayed as she grinned, most of it a gummy pink. "DAGOODEE," she shouted back at Jeanus.

When her wings were tugged on, she let out a loud wings. The wings immediately retracted into her back, leaving no trace that they had ever existed in the first place.

"Aricia doesn't want her wings to be touched right now," Kierla said. "I think it's because she just took a bath." God, was that jam hard to get off.

She observed the two strangers. The kid - Jeanus, the father called him? - was certainly adorable, but very loud in her opinion. Which sort of overrided the good trait, making him normal.

Normal was good. Kierla took a shot at friendly. "I'm Kierla." For a second, she debated over whether to offer a hand to shake, then decided against it. Normal people were sometimes mean.

Raja
Jeanus was still wrapping his head around the fact he couldn't just tug on anyones wings. So he'd need to find a better way to test them. "Washy?" The boy grimaced mildly wriggling against the graps as the mention of a bath came from any mouth. "No washy, chemy-chemy good. No need clean." He quickly stated darting his gaze between the three figures quickly.

"Be nice." The man declared briefly as he set the child back on the ground rather than put up with him trying to get loose and falling. "Or there will eb another bath." Even if there weren't odd things on the boy this time. Having him knock over a table of things from work on himself wasn't good. Even if they hadn't been toxic unless he drank them.

Freedom once more! Freedom to try to figure out jsut where those wings vanished to. "No more pull. How wing-wing work? Like drag-drag thing wing-wing?" He babbled inching toward the younger girl as curious as ever.

Keeping an eye on the boy as he briefly smiled at the woman. "I'm Raja, and that is Jeanus." He didn't bother to offer his hand either, instead nodding his head lightly. He didn't have the best view of the children involved with this place, nor their parents. At least, not at the moment. This child was being allowed to chew on furniture, that wasn't as bad as the cursing one... but it wasn't good either. The score was looking rather bad.

And he wasn't getting the task at hand done either. "I... er I'm guessing Aricia..?" He paused hoping he wasn't yelled at for recalling the name wrong. "Is one of the wand children?" He didn't know what else to call them. As he mentioned it though his hand strayed slightly to check on the thing in his bag. Yes, perfectly safe, it had become a habit to keep a lookout for it. The day that thing fell meant the day he'd have a guilt trip over breaking the wand. "But that's a stupid question, you wouldn't be in here unless you'd met that lady."

Kiarna
"Yes, she is," Kierla said, trying to sound as if it was a completely normal thing. Even after having taken care of the wand, watched it sprout into a wisp, then a ghost, then into a real live baby...all this magic stuff was creeping her out. "Is Jeanus one?" she queried, not seeing the wand upon his person at first glance. Maybe she was just still a little sleepy.

A quick smile tugged at the corners of her mouth, then pushed them back down into a neutral line. "So Jeanus doesn't like baths either?"

Aricia stuck her tongue out at the kid, turning her back away from him, then letting her wings slowly fill the air behind her.

Hmmph! This kid had no wand, no shiny things that she could try and steal. How boring. Maybe he had some in pockets or something. "Shyee?" she questioned. Or maybe he had other things, things that sang "Twinkle" when she punched them. "Toos?"

Raja
He blinked at the question. "Eh... oh no. Jeanus is..." He eyed the boy a moment. "A special case..." How did you explain that someone shoved a bundle into your arms on the street that turned out to be a kid? Actually, assuming that they dealt with wands here... that might be considered normal. "No, I um... well the wand is just smoking." He added, shrugging slightly. "It's not that odd I guess... I've seen wierder..." Not really, it still seemed odd, but he didn't need to tell her that.

"I've found most children dislike baths. Well, Keanu doesn't mind them. Arianna never agrees to do anything, and Jeanus just thinks being covered in wierd substances is the best thing in the world." Yes, it depended on the child. "You simply need to learn how to deal with each one." Arianna needed to be tied up, Keanu you just told him he couldn't practice until he took a bath. Jeanus? You dumped him in the water. Laiou didn't mind as long as someone stayed in the room, or it was durring the day. So many odd quirks to deal with though...

Jeanus frowned as the girl refused to allow him near her back and the wings appeared again. He couldn't get near tem to peek at, how could he investigate if he couldn't get near it? Even as he tried again the two words didn't seem to click in his head. It wouldn't have mattered if they did, Raja was the only one with a bag that had things in it. Jeanus didn't tend to keep things in the two large pockets on the pilfered labcoat he wore. Still talking seemed not to work. He needed a new way to get the girl to sit still so he could see how her wings worked. Something neat would do, but he wasn't at work with Raja. That was where all the neat things were...

His eyes began to look around the room in search of something to distract this odd 'gaboo' with temporarily with. No, too high. Too bland. Hey that might work. It looked like some discarded keychain. Maybe it had fallen off a bag or something. Too a child like Jeanus, it was a new discovery. The item alone might have kept the elf newt hybrid occupied. So off on the new journey he went to snatch up the newest object of interest. "Is like drag-drag thing maybe?" He mumbled to himself as he did.

Kiarna
"Hmm..." It sounded as if Raja had a lot of kids. At least, more than her. What was it about Gaia and people having bucketloads of children? For one thing, her sister...

"Oh, your wand is wisping?" Or maybe it was ghost. But he said the wand was smoking, so probably wisp. After a heartbeat's wait, Kierla's curiousity got the better of her. "Can I see it?"

Aricia's narrowed eyes followed Jeanus's as he searched. So he didn't have anything! Then, it was a waste of time to spend anymore time with him. Or maybe he could recite a poem to her. That might be fun.

Then her gaze alighted upon the keychain the same time Jeanus's did. "EEE! SHYEEETOOS!" she screeched, babbling and pointing at it excitedly. She grinned with pleasure as the kid went to fetch it. So he might make a good servant after all...

Raja
"Is that what it's called?" He asked in the brief moment before she spoke again. "Eh... Yes, I suppose." The kitsune had snatched it before, and certainly the woman wouldn't take it right? He carefully shifted the flap of his bag to extract the delicate wand. Or at least he assumed it was. The two semi-transparent wings atop the tip always made him worry, it wouldn't be hard to snap them off right? After he'd freed the item he held it up in all it's misty glory for the woman. "That woman told me it's a gelfling, a girl to be exact." Ah yes, that note about the wings. And the whole sex crazed thing? Not something he was looking forward to dealing with. "I'm tot he point of believing that Ianna lady, but I don't quite know what to expect from her aside from wings somewhat like the ones on the wand..."

Jeanus never intended to serve anyone, he just had his own interests. Ones that went along with what Aricia wanted right now. He made it to the object and eyed the thing for a moment. Some ornate key that had been painted with silver. This much was obvious because the paint had peeled off in a few spots, though it still made a light chiming noise as he picked it up and the metal ring fell to clank against the key itself. The fact the girl had suddenly exclaimed about the object caught the boys attention once more and as much of a plan that could be formed in his head was created. Yes, this would do.

The boy quickly wobbled back over toward the pegasus holding out the newly obtained thing toward her as if it was a peace offering. "See, no wing-wing pull. Just looky learn?"

Kiarna
"It's beautiful." And it was. The wing-like shapes on the top of the wand made Kierla wonder just what kind of creatures these gelflings were. The color, although not black, was pretty as well. Finally, she decided to undermine her pride for once and ask. "What are gelflings?"

Unfortunately for Jeanus, Aricia no longer was interested in the keychain whatsoever: another, more prettyful thing had been brought out into the open. She glanced over the offering, then completely ignoring the boy, she yelled.

Really. Really. Loud.

"SHYEE WAAA!" she cried out, stretching her arms toward the purple wand. When finding out she couldn't reach the pretty thing, her fists opened and closed in frustration as her wings fluffed themselves and her legs kicked wildly. It was as if a hill of ants was just knocked into her dress. "WAAA! DAAA!"

Suddenly stopping her wriggling, Aricia glared at Jeanus as if it was all his fault she couldn't reach the wand. "Waadaa," she said bossily, pointing toward the object of her desire.

Raja
Beautiful was a good word for it. Raja had thought a similar thing when he first saw it. Thenhe'd been told it was his new child. Oh Keanu had been overjoyed at the thought of a little sister, well one that wasn't somewhat rabid like Arianna. However the fact he had to now explain them well... "They're..." He rubbed his head. "Only the girls have wings, that's why I was told this must be a girl." He had done a bit of research on them thankfully. "Fairly peaceful and nature loving. Truthfully I should know more, but well..." I don't want to tell you what else I found out. About the whole physical thing. "I'm sure she's going to be a very sweet young lady." I hope she is, I don't need more problems. That was what he meant.

And his plan was foiled by his father. Well that wasn't new.

Anytime the elven eared boy had a genuinely genius plot Raja stopped him. Here it happened again with the lavender wand, something that even the wails from his target wouldnt get the boy to go after. He'd long since learned that the wand was a no-no. Raja had put him in enoughtime outs relating to that object that it was well proven. Still the noise did hurt his ears and his hands quickly clamped over them to attempt to block it out.

Raja simply reacted by both ears falling back and wincing. It sounded as bad as when they tried to dress Arianna. It didn't tak ea rocket scientist ti figure out what the girl wanted either, she'd looked and reached directly int he direction of a rather fragile wand. Something she wasn't going to get. "Oh no, be as loud as that harpy all you want, you're not getting this..." Was the only reply she was going to get. If Raja had learned one thing, it was how to tell a child no. So almost as quickly as the thing had appeared the orange eared feline was carefully replacing the object in it's hidden location.

And with that Jeanus had to go back to plan A. Maybe once the thing was out of view she'd forget it, he really couldn't try for Misty. "No no kay. Misty nah toy. Thing for wing-wing looky?" He bopped the key up and down a few times pleadingly. Maybe? Maybe?

Kiarna
"That's what I said of Aricia, and look...or hear...how she is now," Kierla said. It was impossible to tell if she was joking from her voice, but chances were she was not, listening to Aricia's.

"WAAA! DAAA!" the pegasus child was currently yelling again, beating her fists on the ground angrily.

Then, everything calmed down: she was no longer screaming or flailing. Apparently she was trying a different approach. Her crying was reduced to pitiful sniffles, and the teary eyes widened to cover half her face in an absurd puppy face.

Wow. She must have really been practicing. Her thumb even went into her mouth to achieve the innocent effect. "Pweeezee?" she said as sweetly and baby-like as possible.

She continued to ignore Jeanus. If he wouldn't get her what she wanted, he wouldn't get what he wanted either.

"Aiii won' 'urrrrt i'," she added.

At that moment, Kierla knew the joy of being a mom.

"She said her first sentence!" the woman squealed, her feet suddenly breaking out in a little jig (what? this was Kierla?). The fact that Aricia was being a total leech toward their new acquaintances escaped her; she'd said her first sentence, nevermind how obnoxious it was!

Raja
Oh hell no. Nothing was breaking through that defense. If Keanu had been there the snow leopard would have snagged the wand to hand it over, but he wasn't. This was Raja we were talkign about, who dealt with Arianna on a daily basis. No temper tantrum or... oh god... One eye twitched as it took what restraint the man had not to break down into an 'aww' and hand over the priceless wand at the sight of those eyes. "No. That's what Keanu says, but some things are just too fragile for kids." The man replied shaking his head firmly. "Absolutely not." Evenif she had said her first sentence in trying to get the object.

"Maybe when you're older, or my future daughter isn't stuck in it." As a puff of smoke. How is this supposed to be my daughter again? Science was lost in this world sometimes.

Jeanus was not to be left out. Since she was ignoring him, he simply snuck along to peer at her wings while she was busy dealing with the father. "Da-da how wing-wing work?" Woops, that might have ruined it. "Misty have wing-wing too. Misty drag-drag thing? Gaboo too?" He babbled reaching out to possibly go after one of the wings again.

"JEANUS REA MORRO DO NOT TOUCH!" Raja had been watching the girl, and wether the boy would have gotten anywhere near those wings, or not he needed to once again be taught that no was no.

"I wasn't going to pul-"

"Don't touch. It's the same with the wand." The man rubbed at his temple. It was a good thing the household dragon was such a good tempered creature or Jeanus' hands on habits would have been a lot of trouble already. "Leave her wings alone, she obviously didn't want you touching them earlier, so not now either."

The boy frowned eyeing the now off limits item. The same as the wand... that meant trouble. He flopped down on the ground glancing at the girl. "Ya da-da says no misty. No wing-wing. New place have other thing esplore?"

"..." The man sighed shaking his head. "How quickly you lose interest..." He mumbled ignoring the woman who seemed to have hit a scary high from the sentence. He'd never felt that joyed when Keanu spoke. Then again, the child had spoken even worse than this baby, hadn't he?

Kiarna
Aricia nearly frowned, but that would have broken the look. It had almost worked! She could tell it had. She'd just have to try harder.

Fresh tears suddenly welled up in those pleading eyes, causing them to shine. Then one wing (the white one) slowly covered her face as she looked down to the floor.

Maybe the pity thing would work.

"Y'coo pwa," she said to Jeanus in a heartbreakingly sweet tone that shivered like stars about to fall.

Whether or not it worked on Raja, it certainly worked for Kierla. "SHE SAID ANOTHER SENTENCE!" She always was a sucker for those big eyes. Before Jeanus could even have the chance to touch those wings, she pranced over and snatched her precious baby up. "SEE," she demanded to Raja, shoving the pegasus into his face.

Aricia lifted her head to give him full impact of her eyes.

Raja
No way, he wouldn't let it work. He'd dealt with those looksbefore, he just needed to master this one. Yes, it was a test. What if his daughter tried it on him someday? He had to be strong so that he could be a good parent, which led to him trying to stare down the girl as more delicate droplets appeared in her eyes and the magnificent little wing added to the display. At least his daughter wouldn't hav- scratch that. She would have wings, just not feathery ones like that.

Pity was hard to ignore, but the feline just repeated to himselfin his head that this wasn't his daughter. He had to protect his own little girl. That was what allowed him to stand firm inhis decision. At least until the girl was literally shoved in his face.

The man stumbled a step back as an even more full blast of those large darling eyes was pushed upon him by the rather excited mother and he managed a small smile. "Uh, y-yes she did. I saw." And things were even cuter up close. Even cute things had trouble in themt hough, Keanu had been darling. Ah yes, but he'd nearly given him a heart attack. One had to learn to be wary and not fall for the tricks... even if it did feel like he had to turn into a souless thing to deny something so darling. "Maybe... she'd like something else from my bag?" Something less breakable, because the shield was definitely crumbling.

Jeanus who had been abandoned on the floor as the woman plucked her child away from his reaches gave a light sigh. Well he couldn't touch anyway, so perhaps... He looked up as his father suggested something else. "Ee tick-tick silvee." He called quickly. Raja had never been big on wearing watches on his wrist, so instead there was always a silver pocket watch stuffed away in the bag. Something Jeanus had yet to be able to figure out really, so the item was of great interest to him.

Kiarna
Kierla suddenly turned into her emotionless self, and practically dropped Aricia back on the floor. "Go play, Aricia."

It was obvious, however, she was still proud of her child's miniscule accomplishment.

Aricia sighed; what a heartless world to deny a girl's heart! Well, he did say something else...."Shyee?" she questioned hopefully. "Toos?"

And what was this ee tick-tick silvee thing? It sounded pretty enough. Maybe it was a dress for her. "Ee-tickee-silv," she imitated, flouncing her dress into a more adorable position.

Raja
The tick-tick... Oh right, the watch. Well that was expendable, he could get a new one if the kids broke it. With the girl now a safe distance away he nodded. "Alright, fine you two can play with that." The girl seemed pleased enough with the idea, bubbling out her own versionof Jeanus' words. "Try not to break it though." Try being the keyword, he knew the abilities kids had when it came to breaking things on accident. After a moment of fishing in the bag he dug out the round watch. Indeed it was a bit shiny with a short metal chain that served no purpose with how Raja kept it. The object itself had a simple design of a few flower petals in the breeze on it. Then again, people usually took the design as they pleased. That was just how Raja has interpretted it.

The man let the bags flap fall back over to close it before dangling the watch down by it's chain with Jeanus happily snagged from where it was hanging. He knew quite well how to open the thing too. It only took a moment for him to shove the clasp open to reveal the clock's face and eye the second hand which always ticked on. "Ees still tick-tick. How it nevah nah tick-tick?" He mumbled half to himself before glancing at the girl. "Ees nah a toy. Ees sci-sci! Sci-sci like mageec buh it make logi." He said holding out the watch to show her. "Ee work tick-tick always when opens. How it know? Ees mageec sci-sci in work!" He nodded solemnly at that before glancing back at the device and poking it with as much interest as he had Aricia's wings until they'd been labeled completely off limits.

"It nah like wing-wing. Wing-wing live life thing. Person thing have wing-wing. Buh tick-tick silvee nah live life. Ees sci-sci. Da-da know how sci-sci work, buh nah say to Jenus how sci-sci work." He added giving the cat a look in hopes of instilling some guilt, which didn't work. As was usual. Jeanus was adorable, but he couldn't compare to the young pegasus' cuteness, and even she'd had trouble cracking the man.

"Not until you're older..." Hadn't he already explained to Jeanus that talking about that outside of work wasn't allowed? Children just had such short attention spans.

Kiarna
"I appreciate your kindness to Aricia," Kierla said courteously, lounging back on the couch. Now that the excitement of The First Sentence was officially over, she was beginning to remember her fatigue. But she couldn't fall asleep in front of people; that'd be undignified.

Aricia shrieked with joy. While not a dress, it was certainly very interesting. Her eyes followed the watch hungrily as she listened Jeanus's enlightening explanation. "Sci-sci-logi," she said in the voice of someone praying before a volcano.

With quick decision, she suddenly held out a hand, silently demanding the 'tickee silv'. "Wingee fo' tickee," she stated, flaring her wings behind her to reinforce her statement.

Raja
It was decided that Kierla had the right idea with the couch as the feline shrugged. "Nto a problem, but I might as well rest if I'm going to be here a while." Nothing ever got done when you brought the kids along. If anything things were undone. So with a fwump the man sat on the opposite side of the couch with a sigh. "Children are so tiring..." A truer statement had never been said, at least as far as he was concerned.

Jeanus nodded as sagely as someone his age could. "Yes, sci-sci is very logi and powaful." He stated happy to have gotten through to someone. Nothing interested Jeanus more than figuring out how things worked, and science seemed the best way to figure that out. Scientists just needed to be allowed to look at things long enough and they'd figure it out. At least, that's what he thought. Thus his interest in poking the glorious wings, and examining the watch. Not to mention those rocks. Very important things rocks where. Made of minral thingers and there was something about atoms somewhere in the babbling scientists did.

Of course those scientists had willing subjects, and now... the boy grinned at the proposition put before him, then glanced up at his father to see if he was watching. Nope, eyes closed and taking a momentary breather! It was a go! "Wing-wing for tick-tick silvee!" The boy chimed happily turning over the object into the girls outstretched hand. He could figure out the watch later, he had limited time to figure out how those wings worked. Well, until his father noticed. That could be long, or short... But Arianna wasn't around to cause a nice distraction, so it seemed fairly limited.

Kiarna
Kierla stole a glance at Raja, to make sure his eyes were closed. Then she stuck her head under a pillow, falling instantly asleep. After all, children were nobody important to be dignified in front of.

Aricia giggled, sensing the secrecy of the moment, and her hand closed possessively over the treasure. The hand retreated, bringing the novelty up to her eyes, as she turned her back toward Jeanus for better access to her wings.

Raja
Dignified? If Raja had known that the woman had beenw orried about that he might have died laughing. The feline was something of a joke if people knew enough about him. Still, he wasn't one to be taken lightly when he was angry either. Though falling asleep wasn't something Raja would care about, dozing in public was normal to him. He did have the mind of a cat afterall, what was wrong with an afternoon nap? Not that he dared such a thing when he had a child with him, just a moments breather on the couch. Just so long as there were no squeals of pain, or the sound of something crashing down(hopefully nothing expensive) and he'd be able to rest.

Jeanus gave his own little giggle of glee as he was once more allowed near those big fluffy feathers. They weren't like Arianna's at all, those weren't as fluffy or shiny as these. And this girl didn't have the feet like Arianna. She wasn't like Ymir drag-drag thing either. His were like leather and much more stiff. These were definitely nice and fluffy, but they had a similar shape. Well curve. Wings seemed to have a certain pattern to them. This was something he'd managed to observe, which meant. "Wing-wing thing need shape to fly-fly good?" He mumbled to himself lightly prodding the red wing momentarily. "Color make fly-fly better? Color matter?" This was a new concept. Arianna could not fly, but Ymir could. Did that mean that some colors could fly better? If so, then white was a better color. "Snow cool color better? Light better wing-wing color?" The boy squinted his eyes as if thinking hard, his lower lip sticking out a bit as he did. "Red wing-wing defecty nah work as good fly-fly?"

Kiarna
Aricia was throuroughly confused by Jeanus's mumblings. Fly-fly? What was fly-fly? It was a new concept to her. To her, the wings were an ornament, something for attracting attention and for hiding behind when the occasional scary thing came out.

Ah. Well, who cared? She had a shiny tickee thing in front of her. Aricia squealed with delight as she held it up the her ear, listening attentively to the rhythmic ticking.

Raja
Jeanus understood the concept of fly-fly very well. After the man, something Keanu had called Alan as he babbled, taught him how to fly with Ymir he'd taken the younger brother for a a fly. It was a fun concept, one he knew he wouldn't manage without some aide, but still fun. Thus why the wings now held an interesting mystique in his mind. Getting no real reply regarding the question about if the red one was useless he turned his attention to the next thing. "Feathy wing-wing better than drag-drag wing-wing?" There was a new comparison to question. Ymir could fly well with his dragon wings, but could this girl fly?

It was time to find out.

Grabbing ahold of the wing he tried to make the thing flap to see if it worked well. Too roughly for that matter, but the boy really didn't know what it would feel like to have someone tug on it. Most people didn't want to poke at his tail, or ears. He was an odd sight to behold. Cute in his own way, the freckles helped with that, but still odd to look at. Many people were a bit intimidated by him perhaps. Then again, mostof the family he lived with was odd, so he thought nothing of his appearance. "You can fly-fly good? Up high-high with wing-wing?"

Kiarna
The feathers on the wings were beginning to look distinctly ruffled, Aricia noticed, from all his tugging and prodding. And this annoyed her. He was going to mess them all up!

But it didn't annoy her nearly as much as his strange questions. Still, they had made a deal, so Aricia had to uphold her end. "Flyeewut?" she questioned, flapping her wings surreptitiously several times to try and get the feathers back into place.

Raja
"Fly-fly in sky!" He released the wing as she shifted it flapping his arms a bit then pointing up. "High-high like drag-drag thing an birdee." He stated with a firm nod and letting his arms fall back to his sides to see if the act had gotten through to her.

"Fly-fly ees fun. It go up and up up more. Wind go wishy through wing-wing and hair fast!" He called once more moving his hands as he tried to mimic the wind wishing through past you as you flew. "Fast like drag-drag thing fly?" He added leaning forward slightly awaiting the girl's reply. She'd be a good flyer right? At least one good white wing would mean that she had to be able to fly somewhat. Even if the red one was useless.

Kiarna
Okay, Aricia's vocabulary was definitely not that big yet.

"Wuta skee, birdee? N' dragee n' weeshy windy herfas'?" she asked in her own twisted version of Jeanus's already simplified way of talking.

She was getting irritable. What was the point of this deal if she didn't have some time to play with the tickee?

Raja
What was sky and birdys? The boy blinked for a moment at that question debating on how to explain this all. "Sky ees way up high-high?" He mumbled tilting his head to one side. "Birdees fly-fly in sky." The boy rubbed at his hair thinking hard on how to explain wishy. Hadn't he done enough with the action. "Wishy ees wind go fast." Hair was easy. "This ees hair." He added reaching out to point at the black strands of hair that the girl had. "Windee go wishy in hair fastee." He gave a firm nod as he stated this, feeling he'd explained it quite well.

But he was beginning to doubt if this girl could fly, perhaps she was like Arianna? Then that must mean girls just couldn't fly. Only male things with wings could fly? That made some sense. "Girlee nah fly-fly?" Yes, that must have been it. Girls couldn't fly. It wasn't a fair thing, but certainly all proof was beginning to point to this.

Kiarna
"Skee..." Aricia struggled for the word 'blue'. What was that color called again? "...y'llow thing?" No, that didn't sound right. But it was too late to change it.

So birds were...things that flew in the 'high-high' thing. Was it like the yellow bright thing that moved across the sky, or the white sometimes-circle-sometimes-not thing that appeared after the yellow thing went down? "Birdee shyee-pretty?"

Hair was simple to understand. Wind and Wishy was harder. "Wishy windee go fwee by?" she clarified.

Raja
"Ees nah yellow. Sky ees blue-blue. Sunny-sun ees yellow." The boy quickly corrected, for once the one who knew 'everything' in the conversation. "Sky ees what sunny-sun plays in." If you wanted to call what he knew everything that was.

"Birdees ees pretty. Nah shiny. Birdees go chirp-chirp sing-sing fly-fly." He nodded at that description, definitely thorough enough. Anyone would know what he was talking about now. "Ees lostsa feathy. All over feathy." That would make it all the more clear, wouldn't it?

"Fwee?" He thought on it a moment before nodding. "Wishy wind go wooshy by you like fwee. Very fast wishy wind. No can see it go by fwee fast." That made it very clear. Invisable and goes by super fast all wishy, wooshy, fweeshy. Yes, anyone would know what he meant. And if not he'd just have to do another demonstration of what wishy was.

Kiarna
After absorbing all this information, Aricia contemplated his initial question.

Finally, she said: "Neva flee." Actually, she'd never tried. It was actually currently scientifically impossible, taking in the proportion of her body weight and wing strength.

Raja
So it was true, girls couldn't fly. "No fly-fly..." He seemed almost downcast at the idea of it. But ended up shrugging it off. "Dun worry fly-fly you can. Just need help from drag-drag thing then can fly-fly high-high!" He grinned nodding a few times at this. "So can fly-fly and know ees fun. All good." He added grinning.

So her wings were useless. Well even useless thigns could be pretty, right? "Wing-wing pretty so good. Work fine for being pretty." He nodded a bit, not realizing that they were just fine. Just that she was too young to fly, as was the case with Arianna. "Make good fluffy thing." And fluffy things were very good, like pillows, and tails. He'd found it fun to poke at Keanu's tail when the older boy was busy. Yes, Jeanus was quite fond of fluffy things, which suggested his parent should have gotten him a pet by now. Something that wouldn't mind the tugging of it's appendages from time to time. Maybe a well mannered dog. Then the rest of the world might have been a little safer. "Wing-wing still good. Just no use, like tail."

Kiarna
"What dragee thing?" Aricia asked excitedly. If this fly-fly thing was so good, then she needed to buy a drag-drag thing right away! For she must always have the best, right?

If she were a bird, she'd have preened herself at his compliments. Instead, she was a horse, and thus tossed her head with a very imperial look on her face. "'Course wingee pretty! Me pretty!" And she fluffed her dress again to prove just so.

Of course, then she grew angry. "Wha no use? 'Course use!" Was the arrogant little boy calling her useless? He must be a spy, a spy for a rival princess trying to find out how she became so pretty! But what rivaling princesses were there? After a great tugging of memory, she remembered Patrick calling someone 'princess'. But who?

...Kay. Of course, Kay! That mean girl who wouldn't let her play with Yashi. Well, she wasn't going to get any more secrets from Aricia. "You - you - " she sputtered with rage at poor Jeanus. "You Kay's..." How did you say 'spy'? "You Kay's..."

"You BAD MEANIE KAY BOY EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

Raja
"Dragee ees pet!" He chimed happily recalling that it seemed completely normal to have the frost, silver dragon mix living in the house. He was just part of the family. "Ees nice and friendly. Good friend." He added nodding firmly as he rocked slightly. He continued to nod agreeingly with her comments until she babbled that they had a use. "Nah nah, no can use wing-wing. No fly-fly." He babbled quickly before the mention of some Kay thing.

He didn't know what a Kay was. "I not Kay boy! I ees Jeanus boy!" He yalled back quickly scowling. "Not mean! Not bad!" What had gotten her so riled up, he hadn't said anything about Kay's, or pulled her wings again. He'd just said that she couldn't fly with them. They just had to look pretty. She was a wierd girl, like Arianna. Getting angry for no reason at all. "Wing-wing useless girl all same! Yell-yell for nothing!" At which point the boy stuck out his tongue at the girl. Even if she wanted to act like that he wouldn't. He was better, he knew how to keep his temper in check. He wouldn't blow his to-

"JEANUS!" It seemed that the loud screech had awakened the beast, or so Raja should be called when annoyed. An annoyed glare was fastened on the freckled boy as if he was some horrid criminal. "I told you not to pull her wings!"

"I didnah pull wing-wing!"

"Then why is she screaming?" Came the quick reply as the man shoved himself off the couch to snag the child before he could cause more trouble. He'd probly pulled her hair, or something.

"Buh she called me bad Kay boy!" The boy continued as he was plucked off off the floor angrily. He wasn't at fault here, he'd been good. He hadn't pulled(much), and he'd been the one yelled at for nothing. "Da-da... I didn't..."

Kiarna
"KAY BAD BOY MEANIE!" she screeched again, throwing the silver watch at him. The pretty tickee silv had all been a ploy to get her beauty secrets and betray them to the evil Kay!

She noticed, with some satisfaction, that the Kay-spy was getting in trouble with his father. This, she reasoned, was probably because of her screaming. So, she screamed some more. And more. Even a few tears welled up.

When that kid grew up, she was going to make a fantastic actress.

With all that noise, it was almost impossible not to wake up. So Kierla was pulled with a jerk from her happy dream that she could no longer remember, confused and disoriented.

Oh my. Aricia was screaming a second time. "Kay..?" she repeated. "That's Ianna's daughter..." What she didn't understand was why that was coupled with the words 'bad', 'boy', and 'meanie'.

Raja
Raja didn't make the name connection until the woman spoke up. Ianna's..? "Jeanus doesn't even know that girl..." He stated quietly to himself glancing at the boy who was steadily glarring down at the girl who was seeming to make his time even harder.

He didn't need his dad even angrier with him, it was bad enough he thought he pulled her wings again. "Nah Kay! JEANUS! Ees Jeanus Jeanus Jeanus!" He yelled back kicking a bit at the air in hopes that the flailing might get the point across. "Nah bad mean! Nah did nathin!" He continued settling down slightly as his kicking wasn't doing much good it seemed.

"Umm..." Came the rather confused reply from the feline. He really should have been paying more attention and-

Thunk! There was a new noise to the mess, a wailing Jeanus as his knee was hit with the watch. That think would likely need to be repaired now.

"HIT ME! SHE HIT ME! SHE BAD MEAN-MEAN!"

It now proved bad that Raja hadn't fully stood up, for the boy had been left in range of the girls toss. Which made the mess worse now. One screaming kid was enough to hurt the man's hearing, two was pushing it. Snagging the watch after shifting the now screeching Jeanus into one arm he stuffed the thing into his bag. "Shh shh, it'll be ok..." No good, the boy wasn't about to listen at this point. After a moment of pause he used the pree hand to rub at the 'injured' knee. "See it's going to be fine, you don't need to ye-"

"SHE HIT ME!"

This wasn't what he'd planned at all. Then again, his plans hadn't involved running into the winged girl. It had been to talk to Ianna. Why did being a parent have to be so difficult?

Kiarna
"DID NOT HIT DID NOT DID NOT YOU BAD BOY BAD BOY MEANIE MEAN!" Aricia was sobbing again. Okay, so she had hit him, and it was on purpose, but in her mind it was completely justified. He was trying to help Kay!

With a barely perceptible sigh, Kierla strode over and tucked Aricia back into her arms. "Aricia...stop screaming."

Which she did, instantly, although she continued to cry. With her fist stuffed in her mouth and eyes red, coupled with the angel-like wings spreaded in the back, really did make her seem like the victim of the incident. "Meanie," she said softly again.

Raja
"DID TOO DID TOO!" The boy hollered back at her giving a few kicks which only proved that Raja had been right. That it was fine, however Raja might have rathered it been hurt a bit as those kicks ended up in his stomach. "Bad girl hit me!" He huffed hushing up a bit as the girl did, though still looking the part of the victim as he was tucked a bit closer against his father's chest and his hair was pet a few times.

Raja took a moment to recover from being kicked to shift the boy into the crook of his arm and pat his head a few times. "Yes, she did, and that wasn't good. Still, if you hadn't upset her in the first place there wouldn't be a problem." The man sighed closing his eyes a moment. He must have pulled her hair, that was it. God knew what he was trying to prove with that one, but something had earned himt he title of meanie. "Why don't you appologize to her and maybe she'll say the same..?" That's what a good parent would do, right? Yes, he was being a good parent. Making things right before that woman smacked him upside the head for letting Jeanus run rampant.

"Nah, she be bad. I dun do nathin." He pouted looking annoyed before peeking at the girl briefly to stick out his tongue again with a loud 'nyah' in the process.

"That's not how we make friends." And apologetic look was cast in Kierla's direction as he lightly patted Jeanus on the head to get him to quit. "I'm really sorry about this, he'll usually be good if I explain to him that no means no." He just decided to be difficult on the second day he met one of these wand children. This was a very bad streak indeed. "Your daughter is ok..?"

Kiarna
"Yes, I believe so." Kierla checked Aricia over a few more times just to make sure. "What about you?" Those kicks looked like they had really hurt. Kierla was very glad she didn't have a boy.

"Aricia, apologize."

"No." That was plain and simple, and impossible to mix up. "Meanie boy!" Aricia was certain that if she had a wider range of words to choose from then they would all understand exactly why he was such a meanie boy; but unfortunately, she didn't, so going further with that speculation was moot.

Raja
"Fine, and Jeanus seems to be in one piece." He added glancing at the boy who'd calmed down enough to be quiet. He was just glarring and being angry in general. Well that wasn't exactly like the boy usually was, but alas there wasn't much to do about it now. The important thing was that no one had been hurt. "Don't worry about it too much, I'm sure Jeanus did something. He just hasn't figure out the line between acceptable and hurting is quite yet." He replied with a sigh, eyeing the boy to make sure he didn't dare add in any further comments. "He'll have a long bath tonight for picking on someone, especially since I said no."

The boy suddenly coughed looking up as if he'd been smacked. "Nah! I didnah pick on girl. She just scream! I didnah!" Upon receiving a look that said this was not up for trying to weasel out of the boy hushed into a sulk as he slumped slightly and cast the girl an even frostier glare. Oh he'd remember her, that bad bad gaboo. She was trouble, he'd prove that she was the one, the very naughty bad one who deserved the extra long bath. Maybe not today, but another day.

"He won't do it again." There was a minor pause as Raja looked down at Jeanus. "Will you?" Then back up to the pair. "I should take him home though, this isn't acceptable behavior for being out around people. I ask you to please forgive him though, especially you young miss, he just didn't know what he was doing was wrong."

"I didnah do nathin."

"And I'll explain to him tonight what he did wrong." He smiled akwardly as he fixed the strap of his bag on his shoulder to hang more comfortably. The thing looked liek it should have been a laptop case, but proved that it carried some fairly random objects by now.

"But I'll be going now. I'm sorry to have disturbed you, and hope it hasn't ruined your day." Because I swear I'm not a bad parent. Really, I don'y let my kids go on rampages. "So I bid you farewell, and I'll be off to deal with Jeanus." He was so not allowed to come with again for a good long time. Not that Raja would remember that tomarrow, but it was a good thought.

With that sound, and Jeanus seeming unwilling to appologize even now the feline took a slight bow to seem polite before backing up a few steps and turning for the door. This was definitely not the way things were meant to turn out. Nothing was going right when it had to do with this place. Nothing.

Kiarna
"I am sorry for the inconveniece." Kierla felt as if she was reciting lines from a long, formally written book. The boring kinds. All she ever said was 'sorry' and 'thank you' and used long words to make them sound more authentic.

Kierla didn't catch it, but as the father and son turned their backs, she stuck her tongue out at them. Ha! She'd shown the meanie-boy Kay-spy!

And, she felt, he'd gotten (and will get!) exactly what he deserved for crossing the Princess Aricia.

User ImageWhat about this? (Growing & Task)
A sigh escaped the man as he fiddled lightly with the doll in his hands. "This thing is downright hideous. You'd never like it..." Brilliant red hair, a smile that scared Raja more than Keanu on a sugar binge would, and mossy colored clothes. Who made this stuff? His fingers twirled lightly in the things hair before shoving it back into the bin it had been in previously. "What do kids love?"

Keanu couldn't count in on this, Keanu loved fighting more than anything. Besides, he was a boy.

Arianna? God no. That girl had more issues than Playboy magazine. Mmm playboy...

Wait he was doing it again! NO! Bad! He shook his head the foolish grin that had spread on his face dissapearing as he did. Bad testosterone kicking in! Female, female. He was really a she. Deep down inside he was a she. He needed to not forget this, because heaven for bid he did. Then he might catch himself hitting on Bree, or... or even worse, Naito. God that would be the day he killed himself. No, no. He had to be a sophisticated male. No stupidly starring at boobs, none of that. Good role model for the kids.

At least outside of the locked bedroom door.

Now then, enough of the toy department. Useless, there was nothing fitting for a darling daughter of his. A gelfling, delicate, winged, and hopefully pretty. God only knew how she was really going to look.

A sigh escaped him as he pushed past a 'normal family.' Child bickering over wanting a toy, the parent stating the price and saying no. Nothing like the arguments he dealt with.

"I promise to be REALLY careful."

"No, you cannot take your sister out for a walk. She's very delicate."

"But-"

"Not until you're older, or she's less fragile."

The conversation had led to Keanu pouting around the house anytime he saw Raja for the rest of the day. Sometimes doing the right thing meant upsetting someone, but he just didn't want the small puff of smoke to die. Could a puff of smoke die?

He briefly reached into the bag to pull out the lavender object and check it as was habit. A few people glanced at the odd smoking item as it appeared before turning away before they were caught starring.

"Mm, so how exactly does this work anyway? Can you give hints?" The cat flicked an ear watching the seemingly lifeless puff of mist. "Yea, I see. Let's try somewhere else." He added witha nod as if the thing could talk and started on. If the wand itself hadn't gotten enough attention the crazy male holding it had. Not that he cared, he was off eyeing the aisles while holding the thing near his face as if expecting to hear it comment on something. "Yea, that dress is awful. ... No I'd never wear that suite, don't worry." A nod as if agreeing to some unvoiced thing that only the cat could hear. He seriously must have looked like some sort of mental patient. He actually was debating if he was, it wasn't as if the object had said anything. Well, it was amusing enough since he couldn't figure out what he wanted to buy the child that wasn't there.

But he wanted to gether something special.

They all had something they loved. They being the other children. Keanu had Ymir. Jeanus? Well he had part-time access to the 'fun things' at Raja's workplace. Arianna loved whatever it was she kept hidden under her bed. Raja didn't dare go near it. Evani had a few things he'd pilfered from around the house. The point was that they all had something. She needed something too.

"Hm, you're a girl. Maybe you'd like a pretty necklace?" He asked quietly watching the wand out of the corner of his eye. Nothing as usual. Well that was nothing new. Still a knowing smirk ran up along his face as he flicked his tail casually and started toward the the visable sign ahead. "All that's shiny, and glittery. Women love the stuff."

He quickly sidled up to the counter to peer in holding the wand near it as if to show it as well. "Aren't they pretty? But which one to get you..?" He tapped his free hand along the counter moving from item to item curiously. "Mmm everything is so nice, but too fancy. No you'd look better in something simple, but pretty. Wouldn't you?" He mumbled under his breath continuing along without looking at the wand.

Then it was there.

A simple, but elegant item. The silver chain seeming almost to glow in theUser Image display cases lights. The stone was a beautiful shade of purple, dark and yet transparent. Maybe an amethyst? It really didn't matter to him, it was perfect. The stone was smooth and shone beautifully, yet shaped as if it was a newly mined object. Like a crystal snapped off of the wall. A metal ring was wrapped around the thinest end of it to hold it in place.

It was lovely. It had rounded tips so it wouldn't poke, and the chain was adjustable enough that he could make it so the girl couldn't try to swallow it.

"Perfect, that's perfect for yo-" His voice froze as he turned to look at the wand. There was a momentary pause until his lips moved again briefly before stopping. "HOLY SH-" He managed to stop himself before he finished, but took a step back almost dropping the wand in the process. "When did you do that!"

Oh yes, that had definitely gotten a few more wierd stares. This time he didn't care because he hadn't noticed, the smoke was waving an arm at him. AN ARM. Smoke shouldn't have arms.

His eye switched momentarily before he sighed. This was wierd, but you know what..? It couldn't get any wierder. Not with smoke anyway. "Alright, alright... new rule. You don't try to give me anymore heart attacks." He eyed the thing to see if it was listening. Then again... how could you tell? "Wave an arm if that's a yes..?" And one little arm waved. Well that was just freaky. Couldnt it just be a kid already? Or at least he could have had a warning.

"...you like the necklace then I presume?" He looked up at the ceiling not bothering ot check if there was a response. "Let's just buy it, I'm sure Keanu will be overjoyed to hear you can actually respond when he babbles at you now."

Running his free hand through his hair quickly he then lifted it to get the attendants attention. Not that he didn't already have it.

"Oi lady, I want to buy this."

User ImageCoffee makes... almost everything better. (Private Roleplay)
Raja
Coffee, oh blessed beans of caffination. A sigh escaped the feline as he dared to lean back a moment to relax. Then the sharp ping of something hitting the floor ruined the moment quickly. Even coffee couldn't cure this problem.

Amber eyes caught sight of the fork that had been dropped by the young child before him. "Jeanus don't throw things." Of course it was likely that he'd knocked it over, but none the less he'd made a mess in the few seconds that Raja had looked away. Cream and crumbs everywhere. Maybe giving him a cinnamon bun wasn't such a good idea, but Keanu had loved them so much. They usually kept him out of trouble, so he'd thought maybe the same would work with the odd little mixture of a child.

Leaning over he plucked the fork up off the floor and set it back down near the small figure who seemed almost to try and snag it.

Oh yes, that was still a bit strange. The wand now moved conciously, or it seemed that way. The mist brushed against his hand as he set the object down for Jeanus before it gained a small grin. "You're still a little too small to play with that." He was talking to smoke again... he'd really lost it hadn't he?

"Da-da misty wan shoogee too." The boy babbled as he took the fork back. After a moment to make sure it was clean, something the distracted parent hadn't remembered to do, the boy blew on it once before stuffing another bite of the still warm treat in his mouth. "Ee wah ab 'eet oo!" He tried to say through a mostly full mouth before focusing on swallowing the current chunk of food.

"Well not quite yet, she doesn't really have a mouth to eat with does she?" The man asked quietly before holding out a finger to play a game with the thing. So much for getting to drink his coffee in peace.

VechnayaNicolai

Trudgity trudge. Nicolai hadn't slept in days, it felt, not since Wiko had begun to spurt from his wretched stick. Fixing that damned bassonet took most of the time, as the wood he'd gotten was a bit long and wouldn't sit quite right. Not to mention that now there was a glob of yellowy mist chasing him everywhere and making ungodly noises. For a ghost, the little wendigo sure was loud.

He dragged himself into the coffeeshop with little to no spunk, direly requiring some sort of spurt to his blood sugar. A blur of ordering and paying, and a bit of consoling to the quietly wailing smoke blob at his side passed in moments before he had himself at a table with a Big Train Chai. He sat hard, clutching the wand carefully, not yet ready to let go of his nagging paranoia that he'd break the darned thing. Especially after this bit of progress.

He gave a look to the ghostling, sort of tilting his head at it. Sure creepy, it was, and being an especially noisy one made it no better. And it was cold. Damn cold. Like stepping outside in dead winter every time he touched it.

His eyes wandered about the area, now certain he had to be a distraction with this little thing floating about him. Not everyday you see a...

... ghost on the end of a stick. He finished his thought and remarked mentally at the same time. There was another one. Granted, pink, and much more pleasant looking than little Wiko here, but it was the same. Ooh, I get to see another one in action...

Much less shy than was natural, Nicolai gave a sheepish wave to the other apparent guardian in the shop.

Raja
Ding, the little bell at the door rang as something entered. Raja didn't bother to lookup, the small ghost was trying to latch onto his finger while the spare hand tilted the latte at his mouth. Ah sweet, sweet energy. It'd be coming back soon. God only knew he needed the pick me up.

What with keeping people from breaking the wand, and trying to figure out a name. Certainly it couldn't be long now. She needed a name, a fitting name for a young girl. It was still a girl right? He sighed closing his eyes and waving his finger around a bit as if playing with a cat and he was the string. He didn't notice that the small ghost wasn't attacking the finger anymore, and had instead been drawn to the other little blip that floated along with the new person.

Jeanus had looked up as well, and he was far more vocal about his discovery. "Misty, nother misty." He chimed happily moving to slip out f the chair. Which meant he might get to look at how this one worked, his father insisted that there would be no pulling the wand apart. A sad thing. After a quick drop to the floor, a shower a crumbs falling around him, things that had previously been in the young boy's lap. He scampered over toward the table eagerly to get a closer look at this new misty.

The words might have mildly caught Raja's attention, but the clunk of Jeanu hitting the floor snaped his eyes open and drew him somewhat out of his chair. A quick glance in the direction he was heading showed the object of desire.

Another one. Well yes, he'd seen wands before, but thisone was still... it wasn't a kid yet. The first other person with a wand, and they seemed to be about the same size as his. "Eh..." Well no time to think about that, even if he had finally found someone who knew the wierdness he'd lived through and was still living it. Time to retrieve Jeanus before he broke something. Quickly catching the delicate lavender wand in his hand and still clinging to the coffee cup with the other as he headed over.

One never got a rest when children were involved.

"I see misty please?" The boy grinned up at the man who'd dared to wave. Friendly people were ok to talk to, at least that's what he thought.

VechnayaNicolai

Kids, kids, kids. And he'd be having his own soon enough. He smiled back, though not entirely wholeheartedly, and held Wiko's wand out a little, but not by much. He was, after all, still horrifically paranoid about the thing.

"S'just like that one, I see." he nodded, indicating the pinkling ghost. He was reluctant to let the little one near the ghost wendigo, but at the least he'd let him see.

The mist retracted, circling about Nicolai's shoulders for a moment before pulling back to the wand, enciting a deathly chill in its guardian. He shivered violently and gave a rueful grin to Raja. Might as well make himself familiar if no doubt they'd see each other in the headquarters sometime.

"Uh... Hi there..." he began, sort of twisting his brow in a muddled expression. "I see... you're a guardian too?"

Duh. Or not. Could be wrong. Was worth asking anyway.

Raja
Oh yes, Raja knw kids. Now anyway. Then again, it was some twisted version of children, none of them was the least bit normal to say the least. From pet dragons to wand children, life wasn't all that normal anymore. Not that it ever was.

The boy grinned happily as the wand came just a bit closer, but remained out of his reach. What a bother, no one ever made anything easy. "Ees simee yah. Nah saaame as other misty." He replied quickly as he watched the thing move about. Around the shoulders then the person was twitching. Raja never did that with his misty, this one was definitely different.

The man nodded briefly to the question as he watched Jeanus try to snag the wand and fail. No harm done, he'd quit once he realized he couldn't get it. "Mm, yea. It's odd being a..." What was the word the man had used. "guardian. I didn't rally expect her to be a wand so long." He added quietly before nudging the child's foot with his own to get his attetnion.

"Jeanus, be nice and introduce yourself before you try to grab things. Wands are out of bounds anyways." He added with a sigh before looking back up. "I'm Raja, and this is... well I'm not quite sure what her name is yet." He added with a akward smile.

"Misty. Ees misty." The boy chimed in before latching onto the new person's knee. "I ees Jeanus, can I see misty now?" Obviously the out of bounds things didn't quite apply unless the actual owner said it.

VechnayaNicolai

Nicolai nodded oddly, taken by awkwardness at the little one at his feet. Kids, kids, everywhere. Not in the longest time had Nicolai seen so many kids. Just all of a sudden, loads of them falling into his life. One of them being his own didn't make anything better.

"I'm Nicolai," he responded to the introductions, clinging to his wand protectively. "I'm not sure how this little thing reacts yet, or I'd let him see it."

Not letting grabby hands touch his misty was a safe thing, he thought. Who knows what sort of danger that could encite? Especially when the little hands gave the ghostling even more provocation to make its little wails. Wendigo noises were not happy things to hear. He was learning this slowly but surely.

"I'm not sure if mine's a girl or boy yet, but I've decided on Wiko," he shrugged. "Sort of neutral, I thought."

Conversation sucks.

"So... what sort of thing is she?" he wondered, biting his lip. "Definitely looks pleasant."

Raja
Not sure how it would react? A frown drew along the freckled boys features as he watched the man. "Nic-nic nah worry. I wanna see how it work-work." He grinned as he said it. He'd love to see how it would react, that's what science was about. Cause and effect. Effect was the same as reactions right? Thus if it acted odd it would be all the better.

"Nice to meet you, Nicolai." The feline replied nudging the boys ankle again and casting a look that said 'absolutely not' in his direction. Jeanus wasnt allowed to play with other peoples things, because usually it ended up pulled apart if he could figure out how to do it. "The rule applies to all wands, he said no."

That said he looked up and smiled lightly again. "Ah, I see. That's a nice name, I'm just not sure what's perfect for her yet." How did you name a bunch of smoke afterall, even if it was a bit cute when it tried to play with everyone.

"She's a Gelfling though, apparently only the girls have wings. That's why we assume she's a she." He added, watching the little wisp which seemed to be listening to the conversation rather happily.

Jeanus pouted and let his hands fall back to his sides, but continued to stare at the Wiko thing. So this misty had a name, well it was still a misty, an odd thing. Kind of like the rock was before Laiou came out of it. Da-da had said they worked like the the rock had, but he didn't see akid coming out of this one yet. "Wiko play like misty?"

VechnayaNicolai

The little blobling that was Wiko made a shiver, retreating very closely to Nicolai as if frightened by the situation. Of course, this made the air about him deathly chilly and coerced a frown from its guardian. I'm gonna have to wear warmer clothes around this little stink.

"Eh, well..." he shrugged. "I'm sure she'll be gorgeous no matter what sort of name you give her."

He eyed the gelfling ghost, blinking pleasantly at it. No way anything in that pink of a wand, with such a sweet temperament and attentive wandering, could be anything but. If anything, the word "princess" came to mind when he looked upon her. He'd been wrong before, of course, but seldom.

Thoughts like that accomplished, Wiko looked... ghastly. But nevertheless, it was his. And he sort of... well, was starting to get attached.

"I'm almost fearing my little one," he smiled oddly. "Wendigo and all."

Wendigos are... not the happiest beings in existence. Definitely not as happy as a gelfling.

Raja
He gave a brief nod to the statement. "Yes, I'm certain that that is true." It wasn't pretty he was so worried about, it was if this new child would be a tyrant who made him fear for his sanity like Arianna, or a wild child. Maybe he finally knew this parenting stuff well enough to keep her a stable child. Ah, wouldn't that be a blessing? Wouldn't that just be peachy.

He knew better than to put too much into hopes. That fine line between giving up on it and counting on it far too much.

The small wisp was far more pleasant to be around than the other obviously, never causing the chilld that the other wand had. If anything it seemed happy to sit back somewhat unnoticed, yet always willing to reach out to anything that offered itself. The delicate thing was likely too friendly for it's own good.

Or something that Raja had thought about at a time. It hadn't been something he dwelled on for long though, giving up on it with the mumble that what would come would come. Ah yes, brushing things aside for the moment was nice sometimes, procrastinate until it's a problem worth looking at. At which point it would be too late. The story of the average parent, right?

Mm, average would be nice. He knew better than anyone else his family was anything but, which was likely why the children caused him such grief and worry. Like Jeanus' unwillingness to take no for an answer. Thankfully he'd apparently resigned himself for now.

"Aren't we all a bit afraid of not knowing?" Not knowing what they'd gotten themselves into and more importantly, not knowing just how much damage the new child could cause. A wand was hard enough to watch, but a child was at least four times as hard. Oh yes. They'd both have their hands full.

"Wiko play like Misty?" The child repeated, crossing his arms in slight annoyance at being ignored. HEre he was trying to be so scientific and do a study and no one cooperrated. What a bother.

VechnayaNicolai

Not knowing? Not knowing... true, the uncertainty of the future was humankind's greatest enemy, or to anything sentient for that matter. It was what drove certain manners of people to obsessing and freaky rituals. That fear alone had the power to devastate one's ability to find joy in things.

But Nicolai, of all people, knew that knowing wasn't exactly a peach.

"Meh, suppose so." he lied. Not like he'd get into it here. Not with a... well, three children or child-like things in the area. Risking cranial implosion wasn't in his agenda. This is of course ignoring the fact that once he'd get into that conversation, you'd have to dig both of the people involved back out with a backhoe.

Or he'd be laughed at....

Wiko made a whisper-quiet sound and made a ring around its wand. It seemed its favorite activity was running laps, either around Nicolai or around its wand. It was enough to make him wonder how rambunctious the little wendigo would be upon materializing.

"I suppose it does," Nicolai answered Jeanus with a slightly annoyed frown. Now, if the blob did anything but run marathons and make creepy noises, he'd almost be glad, but for now, he was worried. At least the gelfling had personality.

Raja
Raja had never truly learned to stop worrying about what he didn't know. Which was why when the children went off on something questionable, be it a class trip or a mission, the feline could be a spazz. As had been learned by anyone who'd been given the GREAT joy of being Raja's keeper while he spazzed. The man just wasn't fun to be around when he was fretting, or questioning what couldn't be known.

As for knowing? Well he tended to be out of the loop usually, perhaps he'd learn to relax more if he did know the downs of always knowing what was going on. Just maybe.

A faint nod to show he'd heard the reply was given. It was likely for the best that the other parent to-be had decided to hold off on that lovely conversation. Jeanus would have likely come up with some odd new hypotetis(he still didn't say hypothesis right) on how it all worked out. Or try to come up with some clear plan on how to defeat the very existance of the unknown.

Which would have made life a lot less interesting for us all.

Certainly, if Raja had KNOWN he was going to end up with a wand if he'd gone into that shop he would have told Keanu no. But he didn't. Thus various activities led up to this. As much as he hated not knowing, he had to make due with it.

Because life liked to throw odd stuff at you and you could never see it coming.

Jeanus nodded at the reply before seeming to come to his own conclusion about the wands. Simply put, they were all the same. He just needed to get any wand to figure out how it worked. That was it.

When it came to personality, a ghost could only have so much. Not for lack of trying, of course. The little figure had clung to the wand as the others spoke, obviously trying to comprehend whatever was going on. It obviously didn't have any issue with the company, but it didn't have much to say. Or even to try and say. Frankly, all she could do was sit and listen, to accept what was around her. She adored people, but she couldn't really be around them too much yet, not as much as she might have wished anyway. So she simply had to placate herself with watching the other creature float about as the two adults spoke.

Amber eyes glanced down toward the bi-color haired child as he stood with a familiar grin on his face. The grin that never meant any good for anyone, but Jeanus. Whatever the man had said brought something to mind that could only mean ill. Which meant it had to do with the wands again. "Jeanus..." It was mostly a low tone that meant to say anything he was thinking was to be stopped right then, but as usual it didn't work. Great, another thing Raja wished he knew before it could become a problem.

VechnayaNicolai

Nicolai took Raja's general silence as an acceptance, though now the swell of awkwardness had taken a cockhold on him. Nothing like a long silence to make a scene impossible to leave. Wiko did another half-revolution around Nicolai. leaving the comfort of the wand briefly to chill up his shoulders.

"Little bugger..." he muttered, doing his best to feign a smile at the wendigo ghost. "Well. I uh..."

His eyes found Jeanus again, in his widely grinning glory, and produced a narrow frown to counter it. Children and grins like that. It never ended well.

"... should... get myself and Wiko home." he grumbled, aware that Wiko had been hiding from the two-toned kid. "It was great meeting you, Raja."

He gave a courteous bow of his head, in the lazy way he was used to, and turned for his chai, more irked that it had surely gone a bit stale from being neglected for the sake of conversation. He sighed quietly at it. Meh.

Yes, silence was always akward. But what was there to talk about? Certainly they couldn't share fun tales of the kids. Well not really it seemed. Oh, he had plenty. Hundreds. The problem was sounding like an egotistic snot if he started babbling like an idiot. Besides, did this guy even want ot hear it? Probably not. It was never good to scare a future parent.

That was the child's job.

He managed an akward smile until the man's eyes drifted down to the troublesome grin. Right, yes that would be the end of that. "Nice meeting you too, Nicolai." One hand lands atop the shorter child's head once harder in a silent urge for him to quit it. Then a few pats to look like it was a gentle gesture.

Still, it seemed to get him trudging back to their own table. Well, not so much trudging as walking away from one of his possible targets. Which didn't leave the boy all too pleased. Another day, he'd find a way another day. Maybe when dad was busy with the twins..? He caught hold of what was left of his now chilled cinnamon bun and frowned. They needed to find a way to keep these things warm even when you got distracted. Oh well, it would still be good.

"Bye bye t you too, Wiko." Came an all too cheery chime from the man as Jeanus retreated to the table they'd been at previously. It was about time to continue the errands anyway.

The small purple hued ghost attempted to wave a hand as if bidding them farewell too, though it was hard to tell just what the smoke was doing. Still, it was the thought that counted.

Turning on his heel he strode back to the table, taking a sip of his coffee as he did. Thankfully flavour wasn't what he cared about with the thing, just the zing to get him going again. After fumbling withhis bag with one hand for a bit he managed to get everything stashed away in it again and snagged what was left of Jeanus' dish to put it on the counter. How nice, it was even labeled.

Then catching one sticky child hand, which he'd been silently praying wouldn't be sugar coated, he started out the door reminding the child of his promise. "Now behave." For once.

User ImageShaeria (Dear Diary)
May I be the first to say that I'm a genious. Ok, not really, but I like to think I am sometimes.

Shaeria.

It's splendid, it's perfect. It's a godsend. Because I don't know what else to call her. And she'd better still be a her, because if she's a boy I'm calling her Billy. That's right, I'm too spent aftering figuring out one name to start worrying about another. Besides, on such short notice I wouldn't have time to spend weeks daydreaming over the perfect name.

And oh it is. It is, it is, it is.

I have to make sure to stay on topic. No dwelling over Billy and Tom. Shaeria is what we're talking about. An elven name of sorts. I'm not an elf of course, which is why having such a nice name flop into my lap is such a pleasant surprise! Just what I needed. Oh, but where to begin...

Mmmnnn. It was today in a bookstore. I was really after al alphabet book for the twins, they chewed up the last one. Baby drool really makes ink run when used in large amounts. Just a warning for myself in the future. Now then! Some idiot dropped a book on my head. Yes, an idiot. How could he not see me standing there hunting in the children's section?!

For that matter, what's that section doing below a tall shelf? What if someone fell on a kid?
User Image
Well nevermind, I'll complain to them about that another day. Back to the story.

Now, you see the book must have been some freakish fate(even if an idiot dropped it) because it was on names. And of course elven ones, you saw that coming right? Anyway, it fell open to a page of S's. Oh that's an odd one to right. S's. Well the first thing I saw on there was Shaeria. It's a girls name of course, but I might get away with calling a boy it. You know, not many people know elven right?

Still, I'd probbaly name the child Billy out of spite. Ruining my perfect luck like that.

But yes. That's the story. A bonk on the head and ta-da! A gift from the heavens. I have the perfect name and just in time. That smoke can't get much bigger, right? Shaeria. She seems to like it too. She'd better be a Shaeria and not a Billy. I don't need another rough housing boy in this house. She'll be a polite little lady.

That's what I need.

A polite young lady. Arianna could never count, she's well... she's herself. But Shu seems to like talking with her, I think she might be improving in some ways... and falling lower in others. God help us all. Two evils do not make a great good. So to speak.

Oh well, A good makes a good. So Shaeria will have to be a good girl. But I get the feeling lately that I really don't need to worry. She seems like a friendly little wisp... thing. Well she's friendly for a smokey wand. A baby can't do much damage any- wait... why am I even thinking that? For gods sake my house is a warzone, how could I ever think a child can't do damage!?

Uhg... I must really need sleep. Why am I even still writing this down. If I don't go to bed Laiou will run in there screaming before I'm in my own bed. Till next time book.

"And then I..."

"Oh dear, yes.."

"The stock mark-"

God people were too loud. The man was scowling as he moved along through the mall. Beside him trailed a timid boy who, although refusing to move away from the parent, seemed reluctant to cling to him either. Dark marks shown on his legs where the shorts cut off, almost like a set of bruises that had almost healed, but still something that would hurt when bumped. Not the most normal thing to have all over your legs, and a bit on your hands that showed from under the long sleeved shirt. Still the child didn't really show fear toward any of the people, simply wariness, and avoidance.

Being touched wasn't something he enjoyed.

Raja wasn't in the mood to keep bumping people either, you'd have thought it wouldn't be like this in the mall today. It wasn't christmas or anything.

But it was back to school shopping time, so all the parents with their little children were roaming around and making a mess. At least Laiou was behaving well. A quick glance over his shoulder proved the the boy was timidly chugging along behind him, hands tucked to his chest and warily watching to make sure no one got too close. Nothing too odd for him really.

Laiou had proven to dislike two things in life more than anything. Being touched, especially around the dark marks, and darkness itself. Raja was still trying to figure out how to keep Laiou from sneaking into his room at night to sleep in his bed. Anytime Raja asked about it the response was the same. 'The monsters will get me.' End of explaination.

So he had to put up with it, and find a way out of this crowd.

Amber eyes hunted the signs above before spotting the desired area. Linens. Good linens hopefully, they had to be if he was putting up with this nonsense.

Holding his hand protectively over the pale ghost that was peeking out of the laptop case that served as his bag he used the other hand to snag the young boy's wrist and ducked off in that direction. Through the stream of people and... VOILA! Freedom!

Or close enough, at least this store wasn't as crowded. Now to find something nice for the twins and Shae. Ah yes, the name. He'd finally figure it out. "Wave really fast if you see something you like, Shaeria." He called lightly as he released Laiou's hand and gave the child a pat on the head.

draconianraven
It had been a few days since she'd been to the HQ and gotten into a little argument with that other... guardian? Whatever they were calling themselves. At any rate, Raven felt the need for some serious stress relief-- and thus she'd wandered into the mall, her purse clutched close, since inside 'lived' two very important inanimate objects.

Yui clung to her wand, feeling Raven's soothing presence nearby. So many people... exciting and terrifying all at once, voices all around and pretties colors everywhere making everything seem so much brighter and more pretty...

Why had she come to the mall? She didn't even like the mall-- oh, right. Christina had suggested that when she felt down she should try something stress-relieving, like spending copious amounts of cash. Right. Well, maybe that section over there-- at least it might be practical--

Person. With a wand.

Damn. Well, the least she could do was introduce herself, right? Raven moved towards Raja quietly, pulling her purse closer. At least there weren't too many people around-- it might be odd if she started talking about wisps and ghost-children all at once when people were listening. "Hello?"

User Image
Raja
Laiou quickly ducked away at being released, beginning to edge toward a deserted corner for a moment. No, wait... It was far too dark for him. A mixture of fear and indecision shown on the boys face briefly until he once more ducked behind the older male, tugging the hat upon his head tighter down over the dark locks. There was a person coming closer, some strange person with another of those wands. Emerald eyes darted briefly to the familiar lavender hued thing that his father had adressed a second before then back to this new person. "D-" He started to speak in an almost mute voice before the woman spoke first.

"Hmmn?" The sound came out without a thought as the man brought himself up to standing straight from where he'd bent over to examine a pile of all too purple cloth. He'd deemed the color hideous already anyway, a distraction didn't matter.

A look of brief bafflement at why some woman was speaking to him crossed his face. Did she want to see those grotesque things? They weren't even that soft, certainly not worthy of any child(the store had to have something nicer to offer). Of course, the thought only lasted a moment. Only until he caught sight of the delicate mist attached to it's only link to the world. That lovely bit of familiarity. Or not so lovely. "Ahh, yes." He mumbled as it clicked in his head. "Hello." Now what, where did one usually go from here.

"Dad, do you know her?" The quiet words drew his attention to the thing that had decided holding onto his father was better than being among the random people at the moment.

"No, but I know why she's talking to me, Laiou. Why don't you say hello to her?" She couldn't be that bad. Certainly that... what was her name... Ianna? Yea, that lady. She wouldn't have given a wand to someone bad, or would she?

The boy's mouth snapped shut quickly at the suggestion he say hello to some stranger as he glanced at the person warily. Then a quick shake of his head stated a no, and he ducked away behind his father more. This person might have been in league with the monsters, he couldn't be trusting strangers so easily.

A sigh escaped the feline as another attempt to socialize the child failed, and he was left with starting the fun conversation of... of wands. "I'm guessing since you came up to me you're in the same situation?" How did they even talk about this like it was normal? He still didn't get it. "How has your time with your..." Ok, he didn't know how to refere to the kids when they were in the wand. Thus he left it at that.

User ImageDouble the Trouble(Assignment & Growing)
The man's fingers ran over the soft silken cloth happily. Ah yes, perfect. He nuzzled it against his cheek one last time before beginning to tuck the purple blanket into the edges of the cribs matress. Baby cribs for babies. Baby blankets for babies. Butterflies for darling little girls. It all made perfect sense to him. A bit repetitive in the logic line, but it made sense.

He finished shoving the blanket underneath and took a step back before flopping to the floor to eye his work. Everything in the room was a pale shade of purple that matched the wand as best he could find. Wallpaper that screamed flowers and butterflies. Soft fuzzy carpet that was the lightest they had before white. Such a nice shade of almost nonexistant purple.

A cute little dresser that was a bit darker than the carpet. Mmmnn... Yes. Everything went well together. The final touch had been stashing away the blanket in the crib. He was done. Finally. All done. The twins hadn't even caused much trouble for him.

Too busy playing with Shae.

He glanced over his shoulder at the threesome. Two nearly identical creatures, one with ribbons in it's hair, the other without.

Daren and Dalia.

They'd be about the same age as Shaeria if she joined them anytime soon. Not to say that she wasn't sort of there already, but did the ghost really counter? It was trying to weave and toy with the twins from it's wand, but it couldn't really. Not in the way Keanu played with his younger siblings. This just wasn't the same.

He promped his arm up on his knee and leaned forward watching the group in silence. Obviously the twins had yet to figure out they couldn't snatch what didn't have a real form. The wand was between them, untouched of course. Obviously they only wanted what could move. So typical for those two. They never settled for normal toys.

Be it crawling on Ymir, or finding some new thing a resident of the house dropped. It was always trouble. Trouble he usually ended up fixing.

He drummed his fingers thoughtfuly against his cheek while watching the thing bob about happily in silence. It really did like the attention though. Such a loving creature, it just wanted to be part of everything.

How had something like that died?

This was meant to be her second chance at life right? He sighed letting his arm slip away and his head sagged a moment before he sat up straight. Yea, he'd have to make sure it turned out a lot better this time. Much better.

That was, if she ever came out.

Hadn't the Ianna woman said something about trust? When it felt safe? Did that mean that Shaeria didn't feel safe around them yet? He couldn't imagine that being the problem. She semed overjoy to be around them all, what could be holding the delicate thing back?

"Hmm, you two be careful with Shaeria." He mumbled quietly as one flailing hand landed too close to the object resting on the floor. The two didn't seem to take much mind to it and continued their games with the elusive spirit that drifted about.

It would be fine, it would all be ok. She'd come out, it wouldn't be long right? She was a large smokey thing as it was. Certainly that was a sign if anything. She'd join the world of life again.

Which meant Keanu would be pleased.

His son had taken to liking to the sister that wasn't there. He'd even tried to take her out on his own before. Something he'd gotten in serious trouble for. Even if he was careful, the wand was obviously very delicate. Such things meant that the life within must be too. It wasn't a toy for a child.

Which made him a hypocrite for letting the twins play with her like this right now. Oh well, he was here to watch. Nothing could go wrong with him watching like thi-

The man's train of thought was suddenly broken as a foggy mist began to surround the twins.

Oh god.... Oh hell...

They'd broken it, hadn't they?

He quickly inched toward the already thickening fog around the wand hunting for the familiar things within. He managed to snatch one shocked, but none the less giggling, raccoon child. Dalia. It had to be her, the high pitched sound was more of a giveaway than the fact the infant was in a dress. Right, he'd found one before the smoke overtook the entire room. Which he could only guess at really, it was all around him now.

User ImageWhere was Daren.

He needed to find him to ensure that he didn't cut himself on pieces of the broken wand. The child might be in deep trouble, but that didn't mean he'd be letting the boy get hurt.

Clutching the young girl to him with one hand the other slunk along blindly User Imageacross the carpet hunting for the child. Too much mist, what was with these wands? Couldn't it just break quietly if there was nothing left to do to save it?

He didn't like the fact he'd failed to protect the small creature, but he didn't need a smoke bomb in his house for it. Or screaming twins because one of them got a cut.

Wait... there was... He swept his hand back the wayhe'd come and brushed over something that felt like a hand. Inching closer he managed to catch the boy's wrist and lightly tugged. Wow, Daren felt heavy today.

It was at this point that the fog seemed to decide that dissipate into whatever place it had come from to reveal and interesting scene to Raja.

"N-no wonder..." He gasped quietly starring at a far les broken wand than he'd imagined. Grasping it was Daren as well as a young child he'd never seen before. A rather pale and... Oh dear he'd need to get her a blanket, now!

Releasing the small girl's wrist he quickly retrieved the blanket from the crib, still holding Dalia to him as he slid back onto the ground. Setting the young child down he quickly began to wrap up Shaeria in the blanket.

"Well you do know how to make an entrance." He mumbled to himself starring down at the child cluelessly.

So that was how it worked?

(Keep in mind this is backlogged to have happened in November.)

Keanu had been... a bit upset that he wasn't there when the wand had poofed. He'd certainly hoped he'd be around, even with the lack of time he'd spent around the thing. He'd been more busy lately, what with classes and training. It had sort of escaped his mind until the day it happened. What with the noise Raja had made after the whole event. It was kind of a mixture of joy and shock. Maybe disbelief. Though that was hard to thing when she was sitting right there on his chest. Deck out in purple with wings that looked more flimsy than paper. He'd actually been a bit afraid to pick her up, though they proved a bit less delicate than they appeared. After all, they were meant to be able to hold up the young girl's weight. Well not yet, but in the future.
User Image
For the time being Shae was grounded, or mostly. Keanu wasn't beyond planning to sneak his younger sister a ride on Ymir, which could prove interesting. If not a bit dangerous. Of course, not until she was a bit older... At the moment the young gelfing seemed more prone to nap and cling to people than be outgoing. She wasn't the most active certainly, nor was she loud. Nearly mute, she would look like she was going to laugh, but there'd be no sound. It was rather odd really, something Keanu couldn't put together as making sense. It was also something he'd quickly dismissed. It only seemed to further the opinion he'd first had of the wand in that shop. His sister was obviously a princess.

Shaeria was a princess. The rest of the world just didn't realize it yet.

The young girl yawned sleepily from where she was resting propped. Her legs where supported by the couch cushion and her arms stretched across the fabric of her brother's shirt. They'd been watching the box with the moving pictures, but eventually her brother had used the flat thing to command the box to pause, or however it worked. It had gone black and the noise had stopped. Which suggested that it was time for sleep. Because that's how things worked as best she knew. Quiet time meant sleepy time, and didn't people sometimes sleep onthe couch? The child clenched her hands in the fabric of her brother's shirt in a mild stretch before settling back into place, fists curling a bit against her. It wasn't like they were going outside. She'd quickly learned the sound of rain and knew they she was never taken out when they noise was going on. It was an indoor day. Those days usually meant sleeping a lot.

One ear flicked at the action his sister was taking. Sure he hadn't been intending to go anywhere today, but... he hadn't planned to be on the couch for much longer. Yet, she'd shut her eyes and he couldn't go waking her up. A good hero served a princess, not to mention the fact this was his little sister. A few little things ticked away in his mind before he let his head fall back against the arm of the couch. It was really just a trap. He couldn't deny her the rest and there was no way to escape the situation without bothering her. So... it seemed he'd be forced to give it a rest today and nap as well. Hopefully this wasn't going to be a trend, it couldn't be getting out of shape. Not when he was going to have a sister to protect. He'd have to make up for it tomarrow. Rain or shine.

Because even if they said she wasn't a princess, she was worth protecting. She was certainly close enough in his opinion.

User ImageIt's a Frog(Journal RP)
(Keep in mind this is backlogged to have happened in November.)

Another normal day in the household. Cold winter drizzle thumping away audibly on the roof and the kids hiding inside. Which meant more than a few groups in the playroom. Not all of them went to school yet afterall. Certainly not the three who were playing today.

"S'not a joke! They messed you up good!" The dark skinned girl complained rather loudly, waving her arms uselessly in the air.

Eren wasn't listening of course. Anything 'Mr. Fluffles' said or claimed was utter nonsense. Total and complete nonsense. It showed on her face too, which only deflated her sibling into that 'you poor sad creature' state as she turned to give up for the hour. Best for them all really. No one wanted to listen to Lyneas rag on about the aliens for hours, least of all her twin. She had more important things to do than try to knock more sense into her sister. Such as trying to get her hair into order. She didn't look as perfect as those dolls of her's so something had to be wrong. Which would have been the agenda if not for the sudden exclaimation that suggested more woes to come.
User Image
"Oooo ya really think she's a new kinda frog thing?!" There went Lyneas again, talking to her friend who seemed to be half of her problems. A large grin on her face as she leaned over the child who had been sitting on the floor playing with a fluffy rabbit-like plush. "But aren't froggies green?" A quiet nod as she seemed to listen to some reply eyeing the poor gelfling before her quizically. "That's some good insight. She's a frog."

The infant simply stared up curiously at the dark and reddish girl. She knew her, for she was a family member, but she hadn't seen her much. Not that she understood much of what she was being called. Just that she seemed to be being marked as a thing... but what was a frog? Her fingers worked themselves further into the fluff of the plushie as she stared quizically at the other girl.

"Lyneas!" Oh there it went starting again.

"Hmm?" A bright smile broke on the insane young girl's face as she saw her sister stomping over. "Ready to get ome help with keeping them out of your head!?"

"NO! She," a hand wildly flailed in Shaeria's direction. "-is not a frog! Raja explained that she was a gelfling over a week ago!" She was fuming again, as was usual. If anything could set off Eren's temper it was Lyneas' wild behavior.

"Mr. Fluffles says she is." Though the girl seemed a bit upset as once more being turned down. Her wings drooping slightly. "Mr. Fluffles says you should really get some help if you can't even tell one thing from another too."

It was at that point that perhaps something snapped in the girl. "STOP TRYING TO JUSTIFY YOUR ACTIONS BY SAYING SOMEONE ELSE SAID IT!" Because honestly... Mr. Fluffles couldn't exist could he?

Rather than being shocked the girl simply slumped further. "Y-yea... I know." Wait, she was looking to the side when she said that. Not at Eren. "Poor sis just doesn't know how bad she's got it." Once again logic failed to reach the girl and the message was disregarded. Which certainly upset Eren, but insult was further added when Lyneas went back to her previous action. "Sooo what's it like being a frog? But froggies don't talk do they?"
User Image
Once more Shaeria found herself being called this froggy thing, but this time she had a really bad feeling in her stomache. Mainly due to the fact Eren was utterly fuming behind Lyneas, looking like she was about to hit her. The gelfling didn't understand the appearance, she simply... felt the emotion. It was a rather hard thing not to feel in the air, so it came off as rather strong to the already somewhat perceptive girl. She didn't realize where it was coming from. Only that the feeling was bad, that she didn't like it.

And so the reaction was the classical response of a child presented with something they disliked. First a little wobbling lip, then a fullout burst of tears which last for about three seconds before dying down again. A few quiet whimpers. Not that more was needed.

If there was one thing an older brother like Keanu could be counted on for, it was showing up at the first cry. So only a few seconds after the girl hushed a bit the door to the playroom swung open and in came your classic hero. If he could be called that. "What's going on?"

Lyneas didn't get it, why'd the frog burst into tears. Why was it sobbing? "Don'tcha like being a froggy?" She didn't have time for a further question before Keanu showed up though, and merely glanced over her shoulder at him. "Froggy doesn't like being a froggy."

That wasn't what the leopard had wanted to hear obviously, as a definite frown showed on his face. "She's not a frog." Obviously Lyneas was upsetting his little sister, so she'd just have to play downstairs. A few quick steps forward and he scooped up the sniffling child of a sibling. "She's a princess." Ok, so he didn't have it right either. Which did give Eren a reason to frown, but at least he wasn't as absurd as Lyneas.

Eren was still rather upset, but the fact ther was some intervention managed to sooth over a nerve or two. Just a few though. Though she wasn't too happy she seemed to be being lumped in with causing trouble. Not that she had a chance to explain as the boy was already heading off trying to get the little creature smiling again.

"Mmmnn... so a frog princess. S'she anything like a frog prince? Kiss her and she turns into something else?" Lyneas would just never get it.

User ImageThe Day After(Journal RP)
(Keep in mind this is backlogged to have happened in December.)

Normal as normal got really for the young gelfling, or so one would think. Sure, it hadn't been her father that had gotten her out of bed that morning. It had been Tai, who was nice, if not a bit dettached. She didn't mind so much. It was a normal morning, that was the point. She'd been given one of her favourite dolls after being dressed in a similar fashion. Two little bows falling from the pigtails and a cute ruffly dress. Certainly it was out of place of Tai-Yun to make an effort to this extent, but it wasn't something the infant User Imagerecognized.

All seemed well enough for the day so far. People were up and about and nothing seemed too out of place. She'd seen all of the people in the house so far save for Raja and her brother. Which was possibly a little odd. Even if he was going to be out training all day he usually stopped by to give her a good morning of some sort. Usually a hug and a he talked a bit. Nothing much. But now that she sort of thought about it, she hadn't seen him at breakfast or around the house so far. Which didn't make sense.

If she knew one thing, it was that her brother didn't sleep in.

Still, she was too young to really worry over it. The concept of him being hurt in some way was beyond her. So she quickly returned to making the doll before her inch across the ground in some bizarre story that likely involved child logic no one else understood. This continued until the sound of the door opening and closing down the hall caught her attention.

With the sound came a rather ominous feeling, dread. Slowly it got stronger as time went by, causing the girl to tug the plush closer as if it was a lifeline. It finally hit full force as the rather ragged looking form of her father showed in the hall. Which earned a glance from Tai-Yun and some of the kids in the room.

"G-gods Tai they-" The man hushed quickly as if he finally noticed the children and rubbed a hand over red eyes. "Uh... why don't you go upstairs." He mumbled, waving a hand as if trying to dismiss them. It was a weak gesture without much thought put into it, but maybe that was what made it work. It had been Jeanus and Tsuya in the room at the time. The two quickly hurried out without a word. Well more like Tsuya had the sense to direct Jeanus away before a stupid question was asked. Still, soon it was only three people in the room.

Shaeria, Tai-Yun, and Raja.
User Image
For the most part Shaeria was ignored. Possibly from the fact the feline was too spent to realize the child was cowering on the ground in an attempt to cope with the utter feeling of dread, worry, stress, and god knows what other mixed feelings the man was feeling.

"They say he'll be ok... but those people are crazy." He was rubbed his temples, slowly wobbling toward the couch. "I can't believe they let something like this happen. I mean..." He was shook his head. "They let someone shoot a kid!" Not just any kid though, his child. Keanu. This wasn't to ignore the fact that two other children had been injured in the whole event. Or that many techs were injured. The fact was... when it came down to the end of things... only Keanu really mattered deeply to Raja. And he'd been hurt. "I don't know when they'll let him out. At least not for a few months." He paused... looking as beaten as he'd ever looked. "We should tell the kids..."

It was about this time that he managed to noticed the child on the floor. Possibly the hiccup that escaped her alerted him. "Oh..." A sort of hollow sound, just thoughtless recognition. "Oh..." Realization hit. Ah, poor Shae... she liked her brother. A few steps toward the child, which didn't help with her current battle against the many emotions that were exuding from the slightly broken man. "Shh... I know you're going to miss him. We'll go visit when he wakes up." That mindless soothing any parent would have while trying to explain it would all be okay. Not that it was all okay, but maybe eventually it would be. "Come on, shh... it's ok." He tugged the child up, brushing her hair lightly and starting to head off for one of the halls. "We'll take a nap... it'll be better then."

Perhaps if she hadn't been so young she might have realized why she'd been so carefully groomed. An attempt to try and cheer up the feline by the other man. A small attempt, but something. He'd done the same with any child that put up with it. At the moment three people in the house knew what had happened. Tai-Yun, Raja, and Shaeria. Not that the information meant much to the child, but it would have if she'd understood. She'd be missing her brother within a few days and never know the real reason until she was old enough to listen. And to be told about some of the hardships that could come with life.

But for now she was left with contending the mass of emotions her father was coping with and taking a nap. Rather confused with it all.
