I've had your problem before Shawn...when using the "shrug" in that context.
I'd just shuttup and move on to annoy the next person.

'Cause really, what are you supposed to say? On more than one occassion I've used a smiley but it just looks retarded (Excuse me for not being PC)
and the conversation ends anyway.

In KK's context, then it takes on a new meaning.

Me, I don't use *shrug*
I tend to say "Iunno".
