KhaLeeF looks nice, functionally crap tho imho. wheres the upgradeability? the customisability? I thought the reason for customising was to improve the looks of a computer. Why do you want to customise it when you say it looks nice?

well, its just a mass produced piece of hardware. what happens in you get bored of how it looks after a year? or you want to mess with the casing? or you just dont want to have *exactly* the same rig in your desk as every other person who bought that model?
no personality to it in my opinion. just another way of apple manipulating their market.

Like an oil rig? You must have one bloody big desk... And it must be in the middle of the Ocean too.

May I point out, that it is the size of a normal TFt monitor, if a little thicker.
To you who think it is ugly, you need a monitor for your monolithic PC towers as well. So it is far more compact and better designed than you give it credit.
To Kha, you can upgrade it's specs just the same as any other computer, it's expandable inside and has plenty or ports for memory. If you want to change the look of it, it's a mat finish so you can paint it, if you're really that fickle you need a flashy looking computer, speed stripes maybe?
Even further than that, you need a single cable to use it, the power lead. There aren't and other necessary cables because it's bluetooth ready and comes with wireless keyboard and mouse.
Upgradeability is a real jargon word, customisability isn't.

Kha, now you have the use of whole words, you can work on those capitals and apostrophes.

I fully condone other people having opinions, just I insist that they have grounds to base them on. If a person who has never eaten snails tell me they taste bad, then that is an unjust opinion based on hearsay not experience. If a person tells me how poorly designed and non upgradeable a computer is, then I prove them to be wrong without a shadow of a doubt, they can still hold the opinion, just it has no validity.

Whilst I don't like the design, the machine is impressive. But I too would be worried about upgrade-ability.
Does smack a bit of clever for the sake of it, prefer the Power Mac G5. Since we are getting one at work it's all good.
What can I say I like the 'box' look I've grown up with over the years...comforting?

I'm guessing so we shall be editing broadcast digital media work on it. So the spec will be the best they can get.
Apparently the nasty Apple people are stalling on us scream
