Shen stared.
'Wait... This here man is the Prince of Genbu?'
"Yer really the Prince of Genbu? Whoa! I never dreamed of meetin' royalty before! Hey!" Shen pulled out his book and flipped through the pages, muttering 'royalty'and 'girly-hands'. He stopped on one of the pages in the middle.
"Yer like one of the Suzaku Warriors! Yer like Hotohori! It says here that he took good care of his looks and was the emperor during Tasuki's time!" Shen put on a playful grin.
"Prince buddy!" He hugged, more like choked, Haku.
"Yo, Prince buddy, so yer powers are puttin' up a shield and shootin' yer life force outta a weapon? Cool. So, what're ya doin' here, Prince buddy?"

"I was out of the palace on a diplomatic mission when I wanted to take a walk, so I snuck away. I like nature and very rarely get to be around it. So the rumor I heard that Konan's Emperors decend from a Celestial warrior are true. I always wondered that. And you might just want to call me Haku, my family isn't very nice, they try to assassinate me all the time."

"Aww, but I liked callin' ya 'Prince buddy'. Oh well, I guess I'll call ya 'Haku buddy'! It's a shame ya don't get to get out more, but ya can at least enjoy the few times ya do get out, right?" Shen's playful expression was replaced by a more serious one.
"What do ya mean, why do they try to assassinate ya? Yer all family, aren't ya?"

"Well it's not as simple as all that. Right now my father hasn't chosen and Empress, and it's down to my mother and another woman who bore my half brother. Incidently that also means the throne will either go to me, or him. It's alot of power, and people will kill for power. I refuse to get involved, and the only thing that's saved me over the years are my powers. I guess I'm favored at the moment, but until it's decided, and maybe even after, my life will be in danger until I'm actually crowned. So," he shrugged, "I've devoted my thoughts and heart to the Priestess, and serving the country that way. I just came from a meeting with the Kutou ambassador, it seems their Priestess has arrived and is gathering her warriors as we speak. I'm going to meet with ambassadors from Sairou and Konan later to see if they have found theirs. I think things are going to change very soon."

Shen looked at Haku with sympathy.
"Wow... I never knew that royalty life was... so... dangerous."
Shen ruffled his brown hair.
"So... Kutou has their Priestess already? Hm... Hey, does that mean we have our Priestess too? And what do you mean that things'll change soon? Is.. Is there gonna be some kinda war between each land?"

"No, I haven't heard that our Priestess has come, but I'm sure she'll be in the capital and found quickly when she does. And I meant a change for the good, maybe things will go back to being in balance, more like the world your hero lived in after Konan was saved by his Priestess."

Shen grinned, happy that Haku said the change would be for the better.
"Good, 'cause after ya said that some people would kill for power, I thought that some of the higher-ups of the other countries would take advantage of the Priestess's wishes. Y'know, make her wish for somethin' that would giev 'im power."
His grin widen from the mention of his hero.
"Yeah, just like my hero..."

"Well, there is that possiblity, but maybe that's part of the reason for the Princes. To make sure that doesn't happen. You should probably come to the capital with me, in case they've found the Priestess and I just haven't heard."

Shen perked up. He always loved going places and he had never been to the capital, he has passed it many times, but never really got to explore the capital.
"Yeah! Lead the way, Haku buddy!" He picked up his back, put away his sword and bow, got his shirt back on, and happily hopped towards Haku.
"Which way, Haku buddy?"

He laughed, "well my carriage will be back in an hour. My advisor is pretending I ran away again, even though he's coming to pick me up. So you can ride with me. But right now, we can enjoy the trees for a bit longer, and if that maiden is finished bathing, maybe we can even take a swim!"

"Ooh! I've never rode in a carriage! My main way of transportation our these!" He said as he pointed down to his feet.
Shen tilted hid head out of confusion.
"Why do we have to wait for her to finish? Why can't we swim now? It's fairly big. We could probably give her a fair share of space."
Shen had learned that women want space when they bathe. A friend he had met along the way had offered him a place to stay and bathe and he made the mistake of walking with her into the girls spring. His punishment was a bunch of bath items thrown at him and some rocks she had found. Shen still didn't understand why both girls and boys couldn't bathe together.

"Well, I think ladies just like to have space while they are in such a state. I think it's just female nature, part of the reason they are so mysterious and alluring. We should let her bathe in peace, I'm sure she won't take too long."

Shen nodded in agreement. He wasn't exactly excited to be hit with anything from anyone just because he got too close.

"Well, I suppose, but being a Prince I have to be groomed and nice for the court. Must maintain the image of grace and such. But I am popular with the ladies, my brother is not that attractive, I don't know how he turned out so because his mother is lovely and our father is quite handsome... I really feel bad for him sometimes."
