Landing eligantly to the side, Naraka couldn't help but smirk at the fact the cub had dodged. Sure he never really meant to attack full on, but knowing that there was some brains behind the songs made the elder cub impressed. If only slightly.
However, as the familiar female appeared next to the dodging cub, acting as if she was the one who stopped everything (even though Damu had dodged well before she appeared) he found his smirk falling.
"This is a private conversation, maybe you can join in once you learn how to talk like an adult." His comment snide, he just lifted a paw and waved her away, "Now go run home to mommy, I am sure she can give you some lessons." And with that comment, he had his focus back upon Damu.
"So," He said after a moment, eyeing the cub, "You do have potential...maybe Ra and I could teach you a bit more about defending yourself...what's your name?" He seemed to ponder with his words, and his offer sounded like something he gave to hardly any at all. But Naraka was actually plotting, and knew that if he made his allies while he was young, they would be stronger as they grow older.
"Names Naraka, and I like you cub, you have abilities to be strong."

Cubs being trained by cubs...? How wonderful.
Ripuka rolled her eyes and gave a small huff, turning her head back to the white femme who had approached. "Don't be so harsh on them child." Ripuka spoke, "they are only cubs and some learn slower than others." She spoke the words aloud so that anyone could have heard if they had wanted to.
"Yet no one can blame them for their ignorance, for who is there to teach them the true ways of the Firekin? Of the tradition? Of our Goddess? The young ones have young parents who do not know of such things - or not as much as they should." Okay she was ranting a little now and realised this just in time to stop herself from going too far.
She spoke to the white cub as if not including her with the others, perhaps because she knew and could see the potential she held within her. She was fed up with the young ones who thought to be Firekin and were obviously not. They had been caught up in rumour and slowly but surely they were turning into nothing but a group of petty lions who even picked on one another.
Disgusting.

Final_Crucible ((Uhm neo...Naraka already missed before you jumped in ^^;; Damu had gotten out of the way - also please be careful and not powerplay...)) ((*Winces* Sorry. ><;; I wasn't trying, I just missed it. *Tries being more careful now* XP I appoligize. sweatdrop )) Watching Naraka's reaction, Khepri trotted a little bit off and watched her brother and the arrogant cub talking. She knew she hadn't saved her brother, she knew he'd dodged well before her smaller paw had smacked him in the side, but she was his sister and she had to pester him. Besides, his singing had been grating her ears, she'd had to punish him for that, at the very least.
As it was, there were a two other lions that she could see lounging about nearby. Not really feeling like talking, Khepri lifted her head and looked around her for someone that had more of a brain than her brother or that brute. The Firekin lands were often cruel, but she didn't mind as long as she appeared the ice queen she really was inside.
But as the other lioness said, they were really just cubs. So with a grunt at the pain in her scars, Khepri stood and walked over near the other two females before circling around behind them and flopping down on the other side of them.
"Our parents are young?" She asked slowly, looking up at the older female with inqusitive eyes. ninja

The cub watched his younger sister for a moment or two, ear's flattening before he turned his attention back to Naraka. Taking in all the information he was dishing out before she slowly pushed up back to his feet and watched the older male closely.
"My names Damu...and what sort of things could you teach me?"He asked.
He took on a semi curious look as his brow's furrowed. It might've been true he had the potential to be the Firekin he knew he could be, but he had the cub instinct that made him so playful sometimes. And made it hard to pay attention.
However in this, his brain seemed to make an acception as his tail tuft whipped back and forth tensely.

The white cub listened, her ears going flat on her head for a second but she just nodded to what the older one said. As her cousin came over she stood up and stretched. She wasn't in the mood for her yet.
Letting out a yawn she turned to the males and walked a little closer to them both. She said nothing but watched them for a little while. She had caught the name of the strange one and would store it for future use, she already knew Damu's name.
She sat down, her tail swaying in the sand. Her golden eyes watching her cousin, he was strange but in a way reminded her of her own father. She wasn't too bothered though she wanted to know more about the stranger but had the feeling watching him wouldn't be a clever idea.

Just watching as the other moved away, Naraka took a moment to remember Damu's name as his eyes wandered back towards the adult. The females all seemed to wish to be seperate, which didn't bother him one bit, and as he turned back towards the other male, his eyes caught sight of a flash of white.
Wisely, he choose to move closer towards Damu as his ears flattened, and his eyes narrowed. It appeared that someone wanted to listen in, and that he was just too loud at the moment. So as his next words filtered from his maw, he kept his voice hushed to stand between the two of them alone.
"Things about the gods...things that Finar-si could never teach us..." Sure it was against tradition, but he was a cub and curiosity always got the better of him. As he finished his words, he moved back with a smirk, and was satisfied to know that only Damu, himself, his brother, and Baku knew of the plans. At least, Damu was getting an idea.
"Are you interested?"

"Yes indeed little cub, though of course that is no fault of yours. Yet with the generations of our pride the ways of old have slipped. You see. long ago when lions where new to this world there was a Goddess who strived for perfection - to create a beautiful creature strong and proud. That creature you ask? Is us."
She flicked her tail proudly and raised her head to peer up at the sky above her. Oh how she loved the story of creation! "We were created from a Goddess, child and that is why we are better than other lions. We are of The Blood and that is something to be eternally thankful for. Never forget this, never forget why you are special."
She bowed her head and closed her eyes then, listening to the hushed whispers of the other cubs. Hopefully one day they would all grow up to be like the pride members she remembered. Until then all she could do was teach.

((*Snugs FC back* Thanks. XD I'm still getting the hang of RPing a wicked character. XP))
Khepri listened for a long moment before looking over at her white cousin and sighing. "It does seem that it's slipped doesn' it? Well, Ah don' entirely understand the god thing yet... but if she created us while the others were created other ways... tha' in itself must be pretty good eh?" The corner of her white muzzle lifted in a half smirk.
Listening to your elders was the best way to learn the ways of all of those around you. This was why Khepri knew she would grow up a little different, because she would learn the ways of the others. Even if she didn't like Naraka, didn't tolerate her older and younger brothers or sisters, and didn't know her cousin yet, Khepri knew that by listening you could accomplish much more than by doing.
Lifting her body up, she looked up at the older female. "Yo' seem to know a lot abou' all this stuff eh? Yo'd make a good teacher if somethin' evah came to be." The little cub nodded her head, as if what she'd said made any sense. "One o' the old group of Firekin could teach the new group a lot more about things."
Khepri's golden eyes flashed for a moment before she looked down at a small termite that had crawled over her white tipped paw. She always did get annoyed by termites on her. Especially after she'd gotten her scars and they'd flocked to them. ninja

The cub's ear perched atop his head as he listened closely to the older male, blue eye's watching him as he spoke of new God's and new teachings other than their beloved Finar-si. It sounded ludicrous.
Now being young, he was very open and did not know much of his Pridal Godess, yet. But from what he'd heard she was VERY special.
However, this did not stop him from letting a smirk lace his maw before he nodded to Naraka. Willing to go along with this little training plan.
"Sure, I'm game."

She had strained her ears to hear as much as she could from the two males. Her white body had been flat on the ground, her head on her paws as that seemed the easiest way to get closer without moving. She hadn't heard anything that had much made sense as he spoke too quietly to pick up too much but something about Gods, which confused her especially listening to what Ripuka had said.
She continued to say nothing but this strange male was a curious creature. He was obviously older then the rest of them but that didn't bother her. He wasn't family so she didn't have to see her families weakness in him.
Her golden eyes flicked over his body as he spoke, he didn't look weak that was for sure and he had attitude from what she had seen already and he wanted her cousin for something that he wouldn't let her hear. That annoyed her, greatly.

With a satisfied smirk, Naraka took his new attention on the others around, before his eyes landed on the stark white female once more. From the time that he had started talking, it almost seemed as if she had neared, and his eyes narrowed before dismissing her without any acknolagement.
"Alright Damu...We must keep this quiet...no one is to know of our ideas...alright? If anyone finds out from you...the gods will grow angry..." The sentence was vague enough for any listener to just think he was being general without saying Finar-si's name, but he left the double meaning with how low and threatening the sentence had become.
"Oh, and welcome to our group, I'll introduce you to Baku and Ra at a later time." With his tone finally lightening, the elder cub let off his childish ray with the grin he supported, clearly pleased as he grew content with the cub he had just met. Hopefully, Damu wouldn't be the only one joining his little 'clique'.

Ripuka snorted and settled upon the sand in a more comfortable position, swinging her head around so she could see the other cub. For one who didn't like cubs very much she sure did keep them around her a lot.
She gave a lazy flick of her ears and smiled very slightly, nodding at the other's words. Another hopeful. Perhaps there were lions here who would become true Firekin! Her hopes lifted and with a small sniff she unsheathed a snigle claw and began to trace patterns in the sand beneath her.
"Finar-si is a creature similar to us. For she is a great lioness with power and strength beyond any other. She is huntress of the ground and of the sky, for upon her shoulders there are wings more stunning than any bird's you might ever see." It was clear from her voice that she adored their Goddess perhaps more than any other.
She smiled at the comments the child spoke of and nodded thoughtfully. "I merely repeat the words of my sire, for when I was no bigger than you he taught me everything about the ways of our Pride. I grew up with the knowledge and wisdom that is expected of every member."
"If you are interested in learning of your Kin then I am willing to teach. I sense that it is my duty to the Pride to make sure that when I am gone that it will forever remember what our traditions are."
She had pretty much lost interest in the two males for now. They both seemed to be talking about something private in any case and she really wasn't in the mood to go snooping.

Tilting her head to the side slowly, the little female listened intently as the older one spoke, her tail twitching mildly in a slight annoyance that she didn't often convey with her body. The voices had been more relentless as of late, in her abbhoration of them she'd been learning much about the ways of the pride and about those around them. It had piqued her intrest to learn that there were lions in the lands beyond the boundaries of the sand ocean that the Firekin lived in.
Khepri's eyes lidded over heavily as the adult finished and she nodded her head to her respectfully. Learning from an older Firekin could come in handy in the long run, teaching her things that she would need to know to survive in the harsh world that they'd been born to.
"If yo'll teach, Ah'll learn. Tha' much Ah can promise yo'. But since Ah've been born, Ah've been learnin as much as Ah can to get along in this sand ocean we live in. It could be nice to learn the ways of the older lions that're used to it, yo' know?" She smiled her crooked half smile that she only gave those that she respected and nodded her head as she sat back down in the sand.
Lifting her head, she gazed over at Damu and Naraka for a long moment, frowning slightly because she didn't like that Damu was talking with Naraka. It didn't give her a good feeling in her gut, their conspiring, but then she didn't understand. So it could just be the two of them being guys for all the little female knew. And she didn't care all that much either, but why her cousin was so infatuated by Naraka she was amuzed at. The look that crossed her face made Khepri want to laugh, but she held it in out of respect for her family, distant or not. ninja

The cub blinked slightly, his ears flattening before he nodded at Naraka's word's, keep quiet, okay, he could do that. His blue eye's watched him as he smirked a little.
"Gotcha...can't wait to meet you brother and this...Baku..." He said the last part more quietly.
Although personally he had no idea what a 'Baku' was, but just decided to go along with it if it could make him stronger. For now, it was onto something that mattered more to him.
Family.
