Yeah, I finally managed to find her name, and so pictures- she's my new favourite person!

I'm not very familiar with Marvel/X-men so I would like to pose some questions:

Is everything here canon? As in: did it really happen in the comics?

Those three/four villians that Magneto recruited, who are they and are they in the comics?
(I was too busy chanting 'MADROXMADROXMADROXMADROX' to pay attention to their names if mentioned)

Those three/four villians that Magneto recruited, who are they and are they in the comics?

They were Callisto (fast, mutant detecting girl), Arclight heart (with the sonic blast things), Psylocke (purple hair, don't think you saw her use her powers), and then the Asian guy whose name I have forgotten. As far as I know they are in the comics, but when and where I don't know.

I'm not very familiar with Marvel/X-men so I would like to pose some questions:

Is everything here canon? As in: did it really happen in the comics?

No. Very little of this movie was canon. Obviously, you can't get every detail right in a move representing several decades of comics, but this attempt I found disappointing on several levels.

There was a storyline about a mutant "cure", there was a storyline about the "dark phoenix", there was a storyline about the "morlocks", but each storyline was rich in it's own right. Meshed together like this they lose their allure. Better to have picked one and do it justice.

I did like how wolverine finished Jean. It was very in-character, something that was too often lacking in the movie.
