The Tardisodes were a good idea, badly executed. They're not really effective as teasers for the upcoming episode, since they don't often give you a good idea of what the story will be like. There's also not enough substance to them that they could be considered worthwhile as background information to the show. What I hope they do in the future is use them to give details that actually enhances your appreciation and/or understanding of the story. For example, a Tardisode for "Love & Monsters" could have shown from the Doctor's perspective how things were in Elton's house on that fateful night his mother died, ending with the Doctor looking up to see the kid Elton on the stairs.
Well, something like that.
