I usually pick girls too, since they're a lot faster (what use is strength when you don't have the chance to use it?). Sometimes I use guys, since some guys in fighting games are fast as well.

I'd say that it depends on the game and whom I play against. But if it's a new game, I allways pick a guy first. But if I've played it before, I'll most often pick my favorite...
But I can tell you that my absolute favorite female fighter is Asuka (i think that's her name) from Tekken 5. She's like Jin's cousin or something. I effing adore her! She's not very tall, but she's kinda fast and stronger than she looks.
Another female favorite of mine is Seung Mina from Soul Calibur, she's a girl and she's got the longest effing reach with her weapon I've seen in a long time!

I actually like Taki, simply becuase she's a ninja, and ninja's pwn the world! Although I made my own character in soul caliber 3 who is also a ninja and is way better than Taki. And she isn't scantily clad.
I like girls in fighting games becuase they're, you know, fighting! They're not just some damsel in distress who always needs to be saved.

I ALWAYS play as a girl. I don't think there has ever been a time where I have sat down and played as a guy in a fighting game. I don't really care about costumes or anything that they're wearing. I generally end up cosplaying it, but it doesn't matter. It distracts the guy even further than you sitting next to them. Just leads to more a** kicking.

eyezaduckie i use the girls a lot myself. Especially when I play DarkStalkers 3 ^^ Alright! I was wondering if anyone still played that game. surprised Its seriously my favorite fighting game. 3-d isn't everything. I kick major a** with B.B. Hood and Morgan. My choice of characters is usually 50/50. I usually try all of the characters and decide who I like best. I can tell you I'm often swayed to pick hot guys. sweatdrop

I usually pick girl characters also, but if they aren't good I move on. xD I usually find a favorite among all of them. Only sometimes after a while I choose a guy, rarely.

I always choose the girls. And alot of times they are better than the guys, because they are faster. They aren't as strong, but they can run circles around the slow muscley guys.

In some games they make the girl character weak stressed , but others make us the stronger characters. blaugh

I usually use Talim in Soul Callibur 2 - she's fast and her attacks aren't that weak. Though Cassandra's pretty good too!

I use girl characters because a lot of my opponents underestimate them. They can be as good as, if not better, than any guy character. That, at least, is what I think.
