Yanvir was in the doll house in the corner and stuck his head out the window. "Is for birdie!" he called out to Silva, wriggling so he could get one of his arms through the small window and pointing at a mechanical chicken. It was the kind of toy with suction cups for feet that was placed on a window and when wound up, began to peck in an amusing (or annoying) fashion. "Feed birdie, Yanvir comes!"

Silva jerked, looking at the bird. That proved it. The old guy was completely insane. But hell... With a silent curse he headed for the bird, dropping the bucket down in front of it and turning back to the other feien.
"There. Fed the bird. Now can we go?"

"Okay!" said Yanvir, still sticking halfway out of the window and wiggling. He was completely, unavoidably stuck. Yanvir frowned and waved Silva over.

Silva headed over, raising an eyebrow, then headed into the doll house to pull from the other end. "You do this often?" He asked, jerking roughly.

There was no verbal response from Yanvir as suddenly the scenery around them blinked itself into something different. One moment they were in the dollhouse, Yanvir's tails swishing, and the next the open air among the trees and sun and there wasn't any floor or windowsill to support them.
Yanvir, of course, expected it, and slithered free from Silva's grasp in the blink of an eye.

Silva blinked, falling for a few feet before using his wings to catch him. "s**t man, warn me next time!" He replied, breathing a little hard as he flapped his wings, getting his bearings. Then he paused mid-air, looking around. "So where's Kalin?"

"Is here," said Yanvir.
"Here" was a forest, somewhere in the mountains, the air crisp and chilly. Snow was visible on the peaks in the distance. The ground was damp with recent melt. They were hovering near a large gnarled tree, very old, with only a few living branches left. It was clearly in the process of slowly dying. The other trees in the area were not so afflicted. there was no sign of any fairy city, no trace of magic, just plain, unassuming forest alive with the chirps of birds returning from their winter pilgrimages.
Yanvir took a deep breath of the fresh air. He liked forests. Certainly they were less interesting than Gaia on several levels (mostly involving the acquisition of shinies) but nature held a beauty unmatched in all society.
Only then Yanvir was gone, flickering out of existence as if he had never been there in the first place, deserting Silva to this untamed wilderness.
