Summary: my friend with the injured hand had to go back today to get a new splint, and the doctor who saw her refused her painkiller, nearly snapped the newly repaired tendon because he never bothered to look at her chart, and prescribed her two painkillers that, had the pharmacy tech not caught the interaction right away, would have had her in the morgue by this time already, on top of generally treating her like a worthless piece of s**t throughout.
He had her sitting in the general waiting room for an hour and a half after her old bandage had been removed, with that stitched-up incision a few days old just open. He didn't clean it or wrap a clean piece of gauze around it, or anything. Which makes me think he really feels a deep and abiding need to be slapped with a barrage of malpractice suits.

there are some really bad doctors...whats worse is a bad dentist...one wrong movement of the drill and you got holes in your cheeks eek

Oh, why did you have to mention dentists???
I'm practically embarassed when I go in -- my dentist is terrific, really nice, and he knows how afraid I always am and he and the nurses all make an extra effort to keep me from panicing... so I actually feel bad that I'm so afraid! o_O*;

dentists are just a normal fear.
Its something to do with how instantly helpless you become when a person glares a bright light at you, digs at your teeth and of course...my favorite...gives you a tiny vest for X-Rays while he goes into a completely different room xd

Nope, I'm fine with all that.
It's really the result of two things:
- I fear needles. Not in a *shudder* kind of way... more like either a screaming, sobbing, panic attack or a unconscious-before-you-can-say-unconscious kind of way.
- I really like sweets!
