It had taken some time of wandering aimlessly about the streets of Barton, Durem, and even some Gambino for Fico to realize that they should be heading home.
The ghostly boy she had simply picked up from the shop was cradled gently in her arms, his own clutching the tome he seemed to be born with, and a ragged teddybear. The child was snoring softly, fast asleep.

Fico took this opportunity to sit down at a nearby bench. They were in a Gambino park, but a bus ride wouldn't take more than an hour to reach home anyway...

"So, what is all this?" the woman asked to herself in particular, gazing down at the boy, "Where did you come from? Where is your real mother? And most importantly... why do you look so...?"
She prodded the wavering halo above the boy's head as if in confirmation of that fact, frowning as it jingled, swung a little, and continued it's lazy spin.

"I sure am calm about this," Fico replied to herself with nervous a chuckle, leaning back into the bench, "A child just comes out of nowhere with gear like yours, most likely a demon from hell to curse my family, and I don't even know what to do..."

The woman thought about the past events. She couldn't exactly remember what had gone on inside the stationary store, all she really knew was that she had gone in looking for paper, and come out with... this.

"I wonder what your name is," Fico whispered softly, "You aren't so bad. Just like any other kid... albiet a bit creepy. And what's with the bear, anyway?"

She tugged at the teddybear, but with the slightest movement she could have sworn the bear looked up at her in curiosity.
That frightened her a bit, so she just decided not to mess with it.

"Ooookay..." she grimaced, listening to the clickity clackity that Nen's tail made in the breeze, "Well, you look clean at least. And you seem well behaved, for such a little brat..."

The boy yawned a little, tufts of hair already getting caught in the halo that loomed above.
"Hey hey hey!"

Fico had a hard time getting it all out, fumbling not to wake the child up. Jeeze, well that would be a problem. She'd have to get him a haircut soon.

"Tell me, deathly one, if I take you home, will you promise not to curse me? And that your real mother, wherever she is, won't come looking for you?"

Nen simply rolled further into Fico, cuddling closer. What was all that noise? Humans sure talked alot.

"Whatever," the woman felt a smile part her lips, "Let's go then."
