Witches blood. Thats why Robin got so shocked...well the whole group because when they got their to the factory they had all the witches in tanks, and then we realize they kill them off and use thier blood to make the orbo. Thats why it works as a barrier against other craft.
They never said it was their blood. We just have assume as much, but most believe it is actually their "essence." Amon Loving Lozer.
