Noboru-sama
I got to listen to Iced earth for the first time a few days ago. Damn they kick a**. Now I just need to get a CD or two by them.
If I may make a recommendation, I would say for you to pick up
Burnt Offerings and
The Glorious Burden. The reason i picked the former was because of the song "Dante's Inferno." 16 minutes and 29 seconds of pure listening pleasure. Some of the parts in that song...they're eargasmic, i tell you! The other songs on that CD are kick a**. i don't understand why people consider
Burnt Offerings to be their weakest CD--I particularly like it.
I chose the latter because, while many don't like the workings of Tim "The Ripper" Owens, I quite enjoy his work, and think you might, too. An opening of a metal version of the Star Spangled Banner, then the song "Declaration Day"...that song gives me shivers whenever i listen to it! The Gettysburg Trilogy on the second disc is genius too; a 100-something piece symphony was brought in to help give the epic story of the 3 days of strife at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, its proper respect, capturing the atmosphere of the song almost PERFECTLY.
