cherrybluesky mimisi_setsuai cherrybluesky Hello all! I'm new here, so I just wanted to introduce myself. I go by Cherry, for reason that I will keep to myself ninja . I've always been a big girl, which is extra difficult when most of your kin is tall and slim. They've never been mean to me about my weight, but I think that they mostlyjust worry about health problems that may arise. Although I am losing weight at the moment, I will always be a big girl (I'm 5'9" and I'm supposed to be 160lbs at the most or something like that, but I'll stop losing when I get around 185-200lbs, post reduction surgery.) I joined Weight Watchers in October of last year since there was a program at my job and I've lost 82.2lbs since then. I also exercise a lot and, even though I hate it, my health has improved a lot because of it, so I can't complain.
I love clothes and shoes, which is greatly hindered by the fact that nice clothes aren't often made in my size and the fact that I am so so poor. (Pity me. crying *sniffle*) I make it my life's mission to find cool and quality clothing stores for the larger set so I can have pretty things without having to look like a toothpick. I'm also teaching myself how to sew/knit/crochet so that I can make my own neat things.
And I also draw and paint (badly!) and spend way too much time on Gaia fishing.
That was longer than I thought it would be, so *bows* I am off!
As for the stars, it seems to me like there are less of them that are just looking like they haven't sniffed food in 3 days. A lot of them are still thin, but they are tryng to look more . . . fit instead of just skinny. And then you have the handful who don't give a damn and actually like their curves.
Hopefully, it will continue to get better. I think manufacturers are finally starting to realise that big people like to look teh secks, too, and not like sofa covers.

mimisi_setsuai God I hate those sorts of waists xp I haven't worn any like that since I was about 5. But I know what you mean 3nodding Coincidently enough Lane Bryant was the first nice clothed plus size store I'd ever seen. 3nodding I found it in one of the malls down here confused I need to go shopping soon confused lol^.^ Mimisi doesn't keep current with celebrities sweatdrop So I'll take your word for it 3nodding It is good to know that, though 3nodding If only Mimisi could open up a clothes shop sad Then all plus size women would have great clothes...Just no jeans ninja lol^.^ I have no clue where to buy jean fabric confused lol^.^
I haven't had any luck finding good denim material either. I have an idea for the The Cutest Denim Skirt Evah! in mind and I have no idea of where to find some actual denim, not just cotton with a denim print. crying I have time though, I'm still learning a lot about sewing, so by the time i get really good at it, I should have found a store that sells some. *lol* My best friend and I were talking about havinga clothes/accesories shop that caters to the larger set. Clothes are hard enough, but it's also difficult to find necklaces/bracelets/and such that don't cut off circulation to the extremeties or look hellafied cheap. *le sigh* Some day....

Hello everyone! My name is Cindy, and I'm pretty excited that you accepted me in the guild. ^.^ I love the fact that a majority/some of the people here are of a bigger size. That just makes me feel less nervous/scared, especially when you're showing pictures of yourself. (I am EXTREMELY self-concious sweatdrop ) And you have people to talk about this stuff with. Most of the people in my middle school are pretty underweight, so it's nice to have someone to relate with. I already know a few of the members here from MPL, and to those I do not know, nice to meet you. surprised heart

I've kinda been lurking around here for a while, checking the guild out... I saw the link in someone's sig, but like Cindifrid I am incredibly self-conscious. It took a while for me simply to convince myself to join. ^^;
I guess I'm just really tired of being embarrassed because of the way I look. I hate having pictures taken of me and I rarely smile around people I don't know. Hopefully you guys can help me get over all that, eh? whee
