Ter gave a sort of hissing sound in responcse as if to say that she were right. His eyes closed in a contented sort of way as he was able to get a bit more of the flakes of skin to come off by rubbing against the hand that she had given him. He grummbled some when the hand was taken away but as it was quickly replaced he found himself contented enough instead of getting in a huff like would be normal.

He swished his tail back and forth some then gave a sound of glee, not one that was often heard from the snake child, as he was able to get another large piece to come free which uncovered his other eye.

Freedom and sight! He was the winner! He lifted his hands up into the air and gave a hissing sound of triumph... then quickly found interested in all the shadow shapes that were around them, curious as to what it was that they were and what they were for. He looked up at the girl, obviously older and maybe more knowlagable, and hissed. She would have to know what all this stuff was for right?

Vivina continued to lose herself in thought, giggling once in a while. Her attention snapped back to reality when Ter made an unusual noise, one that was different than the usual hissing. Looking back at him, she noticed two glistening eyes looking back at her. He managed to get the skin off of his other eye! She brushed the flakes skin that was on her hands and clapped at his success.

Seeing the curious boy look around, Vivina looked around also. Guessing as to what he might be thinking, she told Ter about the instruments and boxes to the best of her knowledge. "Um, I think this is sort of a music storage room or something. All these boxes have instruments and chairs and stands and sheet music. I think it's an old room also because of the dust lying around in some parts. See that large bass drum? I found you in there. Drums make loud noises sometimes." To demonstrate, she clenched her hand and hit the drum, which then emitted a dull, but loud, vibrating thud.

Quickly looking about, she also found a small group of xylophones in a corner. The mini kinds that kindergarteners get to play with. Smiling, she went and grabbed two of them. "Here, try using these mallets to play something on this." She then took her own two mallets and played a scale up and down, each hit making a clear ringing sound. These must be the good expensive xylophones.

Ter looked at the drum and slithered closer to it, coiled himself up and then thumped his fists against the it. The sound it made caused the snake child to hiss in amusement. Sounded better when one was outside of the drum then when they were in it he quickly decided. His attention was drawn over to what the girl was doing, he moved over towards her before pausing once more as he listened to the sounds the instrument made that she was near.

He waved his arms in the air excitedly before he gave a little back and forth sway to the simple scale of music. He seemed to like it quite a bit from the looks of him. When she stopped he clapped his hands together as if to get an encore from her.

Vivina giggled and played a simple song she knew how to play, Mary Had a Little Lamb. Carefully playing each note, she gradually played faster and eventually sang along. "Mary had a little lamb, little lamb, little lamb. Mary had a little lamb, its fleece was white as snow!" Grinning, she gave Ter a pair of mallets. "You try to play something now! It's easy." She handed him the extras and a xylophone as well.

She took her own mallet and hit a key. "Test out the different keys and see if you can play something. It can be anything and not just a song you know. You can make something up like this." Vivina then hit random keys without thought and began to smile. For a random song, it sounded nice.

It was a little bit odd to see someone dancing to Mary Had a Little Lamb but Ter was able to pull it off and he didn't seem to do all that badly either. At least no bad for someone that had never had any training in such an area before that was.

The snake gave a bit of a hissing sound then coiled up some in front of the instrument when Vivina showed him how it was done. He looked first at the mallets that he was given then down to the xylophone. He tapped the mallet against it once and hissed in surprised and delight when he was able to create that same note like the girl had. He tried again, then again, and soon enough he was beating on them in a awkward melody that had no real rhythm to it.

Sounded... bad but Ter was happy it seemed by his swaying.

Vivina giggled and watched as Ter played with the xylophone. He seemed to have the basic concept down. When he started to play random notes, she smiled and clapped. Although it didn't make any sense and had no real scheme, she enjoyed the snake's experimenting with the instrument. She watched him sway from side to side and started to sway back and forth herself. Giggling again, she played along with Ter, hitting random keys as well. The sound they made was loud, but somewhat calming and amusing.

At least they were having fun. Vivina hadn't realized how this had made her dull day lightened up. Being happy, she giggled and played a few more notes. Awkward, yes, but having fun is all that matters here.

Ter hissed happily, getting far more into it as she played along, banging down on the keys faster, harder so the song would fill the room with the sounds from the instrument. He swayed again, hissed, and turned to Vivina to give her a fanged smile. She was fun! Ter decided that she wasn't so bad and that he liked her. Not that he would admit to anyone!

Though it wasn't that hard to figure out by the pleasent look on his face.

The sound of music filled the room in echoing notes and random rhythms, making this moment seem magical. Vivina found herself listening in awe, wondering if this moment will come around again in the future. It truly did seem like a once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience.

Laughing along with her playing, she wondered if anyone was around to hear this. She'd be in trouble if her mother caught her here, but she didn't care. The music was drowning out most of her thoughts as she focused on how calm Ter was and the look upon his face made her blush a little.

Ter was cute and the way he swayed about made her sway as well. Xylophones are definitely are going on her want list when she gets home. She then wondered if there were any at home already that her mother had hidden somewhere. The large house did hold many things in storage boxes in many different rooms. A bit too many things in too many boxes in too many rooms.

Orpheus had been searching for his son for a while now, there were so many halls, so many rooms, so much everything around that it was hard to find your way some times. Especially when what you were looking for was so small. It was the music that had drawn him to this place, it drifted out into the hall and caught more then one person's attention though he was the only one to walk over to investigate. It was raw music, the kind created by hands that weren't used to the instrument. There was potential but how much exactly Orpheus couldn't tell, he wasn't that sort of teacher.

He peeked into the classroom, watching Ter and Vivina as they played, smiling a bit. The snake child seemed in a much better mood, he would have to thank her for that. It seemed that it was the little girl who was able to get him in this mood, that and keep him in one place so that he could be found.

Lifting a hand he knocked on the doorjam.

Ter's hands stilled, his head jerked up, and he flarred up as if expecting someone else... then relaxed again seeing it was just was father. He lifted the sticks up that belonged to the instrument and flailed them at the red haired man in an excited sort of way, as if to say 'Look what I have found'.

"You two sounded good." He said to the both of them, smiling some.

Vivina peeked up as she noticed someone standing by the door. It was Orpheus! At least it was someone she knew. If it wasn't, well who knows. The good thing was that at least they were stopped before too long. Vivina didn't want to be stuck in this room all night. Smiling and waving a mallet, she greeted the teacher. "Hello Mr. Solon! Ter and I were, um, having fun. I found him hiding here and got him out of hiding. He likes the intruments here." Before she forgot, she quickly added, "Oh, and thank you. I kinda taught him how to use the xylophone. I hope we're not in trouble for using these..."

Vivina stood up and dusted her clothes. Sitting around in a dusty room could only mean that she had collected dust herself. That and some of Ter's skin that he had rubbed off. Bits of dust and skin fell to the floor and Vivina sneezed once as the dust got to her nose. Sniffling, she looked back at Orpheus. "Ah, sorry. I got dust and skin all over me."

Vivina shrugged her shoulders and played with the pile she made on the floor with her feet, wondering whether she should clean this up or not. After all, dust was abundant in the room and a few more dust particles and dried skin pieces wouldn't hurt, would it?

"I don't think that you two would get in trouble, after all it doesn't look like there is much of a music program or a teacher that would get upset over your playing with the stuff." He said as he walked over to them, smiling, "I have to thank you Vivina, I haven't been able to find Ter all day, it makes me happy to know that he had someone taking care of him and keeping an eye on him."

Ter gave a hissing sound, the end of his tail flicking back and forth as he lifted up on his coils in attempts to be taller, the sticks for the xylophone had been for the moment set aside as he spoke to his father in the snake language, demanding that he be purchased one of these instruments!

Orpheus laughed, taking his son's hands and lifted him up into his arms, snuggling him, "You should thank Vivina for being so nice as to watch over you and teach you how to play." He said as he sat his son back down on his coils. The snake gave a nod, slithering closer to her and reached out to pat her on the arm and hissed, a Ter version of a thank you.

Vivina smiled in relief. Good, no trouble made. Shame that there wasn't a music program. Lots of kids could be interested in music. Looking up brightly, she nodded and giggled. "No prob! I had fun with him. He's very interesting and nice." Vivina watched Ter and picked up her instrument to set aside. Just in case someone didn't want these to be touched, she placed it back where she found it. Nope, don't want to get in trouble by anyone.

Walking back to the father and son, she was met by a patting on the arm. A strange way to thank someone, but a thank you nonetheless. Smiling, Vivina hugged Ter. "No problem. It was fun being with you today. Being bored wasn't very fun at all." Vivina then thought of something. How long were they here? She should be back home just in case someone back home notices that she's missing. Another case where she might end up in trouble. Gulping, she tried to keep calm and asked Orpheus for the time. "Mr. Solon, do you know what time it is? I think I lost track of time a bit."

Lost track of time indeed. About two hours at the most.

Terpsichore's eyes went wide as he was hugged but he made no protest, he liked Vivina well enough that she could both give him hugs and do it in front of his father. He wouldn't make any complaints unless the red head happened to try to mention it to anyone else outside this room. He hissed up at Vivina and returned the gesture before sitting back on his coils.

Orpheus lifted his hand up to look down at his watch and read the time off to her, Eesh, he'd been looking for Ter for a while now, had put off a lot of planning time for his classes to which meant that he was in for a long night since he'd not even gotten dinner started yet for the boys, Vorel, and himself.

"Probably time everyone should be getting home. Do you need me to walk you home?" He asked of her.

Vivina giggled as Ter returned the hug. Giving and getting hugs are the best things to do to friends and she sure considered Ter a friend now. Her attention then went back to Orpheus. According to how long she guessed she had been at D-Corp, which was probably all day, it was almost dinner time. She was getting quite hungry herself.

The sugar glider nodded upon hearing the time. Yep, time for dinner soon. Having fun does make the time fly by. Vivina probably would get home quicker by herself if she ran back, so she kindly declined the teacher's offer. "Nnn...it's ok. I can get back to my house quickly. It's not too far from here. Thank you for offering though." Afterall, Orpheus and Ter need to eat too. She wouldn't want them waiting longer to get back to their homes. "I guess I'll see you and your dad later, kay Ter? I had lots of fun! Take care and good bye!" Smiling, she excused herself and darted out the door, making her way back to her house. Maybe she would look for a xylophone somewhere in the house in the following days...

Ter lifted a hand as Vivina headed out, waving to her a slight smile on his lips that caused his fangs to show... then he looked up at his father and he gave him a look, as if ask what the man was looking at. His small arms crossed and he gave a hissing sound, it wasn't anything. He'd just found someone that was ok to hang out with, someone that he rather liked. He didn't want anyone making a big deal out of it.

Before he could protest Orpheus scooped Ter up, cradling the shedding snake child in his arms before headed out of the music room, "Come on, your father has a lot to do before I can get to get some sleep. Dinner first then work."

Ter gave a hiss but wouldn't appologize for wandering off, not when he'd had fun today while he was getting lost.
