Mary Jane glared at Madame Giry and gave a small hissing sound that a cat would cry. As Christine came up onto the stage Mary Jane's angry glare turned into a happy smile with hopeful eyes. "Christine what made you late? You missed it, I kicked Desiree in the bum! Though an accident it was funny." She whispered silently. "The Madame will probly through a fit because of your absences, but in time things will heal," she said as he bent low to the ground as did Desiree and the other girls to stop their dancing. Mary Jane knew well that Bella, Christine and herself were to stay after once again because of the time lost on their account. But no matter, it will be done and over with. Mary Jane had little interest in Madame Giry's words, that is why when told to be early, she comes late and does it again. Once as the girls came back to there first position, Mary Jane shot another devilish glare at Madame Giry, for she refused to take punishment. Why bother anyway? She'd do it again next rehearsal, though of course, not on purpose.

~Bella ~
I promise you, Lord above, if I live through this I will never stay up late again, I will never drink wine again...
For, unfortunately, that was exactly what had made Bella so late to rehearsal today. And, also unfortunately, that was what had made her so spectacularly horrid in her attempts at dancing today. She was almost thankful that Madame Giry had stopped them. Almost.
The young woman continued the litany in her head, promising everything she could as long as she wasn't fired on the spot. Or as long as she didn't manage to humiliate herself again. She couldn't imagine being anywhere else but at the Opera Populaire.
But then, perhaps that was why she'd made such a fool of herself lately; she'd been taking her job for granted.
But honest, I won't do it again, she thought earnestly. Honest...
Oh, well. At least she wasn't the only one late, right?

Desiree took great displeasure in being stopped by Madame Giry, for what had she done wrong? Nothing, only the three who were late should be stopped not the rest of the girls. Though her strong fustrated feelings towards the Madame, she like the rest, said nothing insulting or rude to her. Her thin figure, stood impatiently waiting for them to continue. If only it wasn't for Christine, Mary Jane and Bella! Then none of this time would be wasted by a lecture that had been heard 100 times before! Desiree's thoughts showed she was begining to dislike them, but not near loathe them. They were the only ones late when a time was set, obvious enough for even the blind to see. Never would Desiree understand how they could possibly forget? She wasn't the most tempormental of the group, but at this time she acted much like she was at this time. And where is Caroletta?! We cannot go on without her! She thought in her mind. How she hated to wait, it was like ruining a wedding, no one wanted to see her that angry. Her silk hair she released from the bun it was in, it drapped on her shoulders as if it had fainted. Why must things be this way day in, and day out? Always Bella and Mary Jane to be late?

~Monsieur Reyer ~
Well, the dancers had arrived, and most of the orchestra was in place. Not to mention that the damned music sheet had reappeared, and he had managed to arrange all of the music in its proper order. Now, they had to wait for the conspicuously absent La Carlotta.
I wonder where our diva is, he pondered. Oh, dear, I hope she didn't decide to walk out. Monsieur Lefevre would NOT be happy to hear that, especially tonight...

(Please note that I am only only playing Carlotta until trackstar06 actually claims her role)
With a loud bang the door suddenly burst open to reveal Carlotta and her ever-present attendants. "Carlotta has arrived!" she exclaimed even though she didn't need to do anything else to attract the attention of everyone else in the theater. Even the dead had probably heard that entrance.
Rushing down the isle, she quickly handed her dog off to one of her attendants. "I musta get into mah costume! Where are-a the wardrobe people? I musta be in mah costume before-a we can start!" she practically shrieked as she walked onto the stage.
For a brief moment she stopped on the stage to look at everyone around her in what she thought was a queenly manner. To everyone else it looked like she was about to sneeze, but with a flurry of skirts and more heavily accented shrieks she vanished backstage to change.
Christine almost snorted when she saw that Carlotta looked as though she were about to sneeze and she chuckled. "Doesn't she notice she looks like.. she is about to sneeze when giving that look?" She asked Meg, Desiree, Mary, and Bella, trying to keep her laughter down her throat.
Andre and Firmin, who were walking through with Monsieur Lefevre as he gave them both the tour. Andre nodded, they were on their way to the opera hall, where the rehearsals SHOULD be taking place. Firmin was anticipating the introduction that Monsieur Lefevre would introduce them both, and then he would introduce their new patron, the Viscomte.
As they made their away across the Opera Populaire to the Opera hall, Andre was busy looking around at the wonderful architecture of the building, whilst of course listening to Monsieur Lefevre as he continued to give the introduction and a "brief" history about the building.
(First times for things, especially Andre and Firmin, which I can hardly do..)

~ Bella ~
Bella couldn't help but smile at Christine's question, and quickly nodded, hoping that the movement didn't catch anyone's attention.
The young woman was quite unimpressed by the diva's behavior, either towards the dancers or... well, anything, really. The one really redeeming fact about the La Carlotta- that Bella could think of, anyway- was that she had a cute poodle.
So she was pleased whenever someone else seemed to share her sentiments about the leading soprano.
"Quite in love with herself, isn't she?" Bella whispered back to Christine, as loudly as she dared.

"If nothing more, for the woman is blind when gazing into a mirror with that look. Even I could not with hold such a face without embarrassment." Desiree said with a quiet chuckle. "If she must, she could make another face more pleasing to us all, not just herself." She said, trying to keep herself serious. "Please, sneeze, there is your gown that you could wipe your nose on at any given time." Desiree said mocking her, while many of the other girls laughed.

Such an unassuming woman that Carlotta, thought Erik mockingly as he watched the hurricane that was the current reigning diva pass beneath his hiding place. It would have been so easy to get rid of her, but he needed to wait until just the right moment. He could not act rashly. Not after all of the work he had done.
Casting his gaze towards the ballet girls, who were now hopelessly disorganized after Carlotta's entrance, his expression softened slightly as he saw Christine. This is the moment, my dear. You are ready, and I am going to do whatever it takes to make certain you are the one singing at tonight's gala.
