im tempted to say ruby weapon, but to me it dosent count as a boss, no boss music, so its just a realy efing hard fight....
..... so im gona have to agree with deamonds gate in the temple, if you don't have aeriths lvl 3-4 limit brakes (preferably lvl4) its a right arse to kill. Also i found the one just before you get the sub in junion a bit of a bugger to kill as well, but no longer as i know whats coming.

Ruby and Emerald Weapons were the hardest in the game.

Ruby is easy !!! Esmeral is a Very and i mean VERA HARD !!! BOSS i beat the crap out of Ruby but i still havent beaten esmeral AND I HAVE ALL MASTER MATERIAS !!!

the only boss that really gave me trouble was sephiroth in the final battle because i had to use some people that i didnt lvl up at all and i was killed quick but i tried again and had no real trouble.

U can beat ruby easaly just use Hades and have final atack masterd and enter the fight with2 dead characters and he imidiatle shuves his hand in the ground !!! the rivive and beat the crap out of him o yea and hades paralises him 4 like 3 turns o so

well Ruby and Emerald are pretty crazy tough to beat. I'm in the crater now, just before the last jenova battle. I passed up ruby and emerald for now. I don't know how many times I've played this game now. I love it though. heart

i would have to agree with most everyone else the weapons were the hardest. Though that one guy who had trouble with the materia keeper is unfortunate. Thats why they put the dragons there to help you level up. me personally i tend to take my time and level up to 100 before i get that far in the game.

Ruby and Emerald are both pretty hard. I got the Underwater Materia to kill the time limit for Emerald, but I timed myself and I beat him in under the time limit I would've had. Ruby just kept killing everyone, even with completely maxed out stats. Hades should work to stop him, but either way, he's still harder than Emerald.

You have to know how to kill the enemies. When it came to dealing with the weapons, Ruby was a pansy, and Emerald was annoying. Emerald is at the top of the list for hardest boss in the game. Yet again, they're extras, so out of the actual bosses in the game, here's my list of the hardest ones:
1. Materia Keeper
2. Demon's Gate
3. Lost Number

Well... I've completed the game about seven times and I guess it would be ruby weapon even though Emerald has much more hp
