i havent used any fake nails. 1. the glue irritates me. 2. it would be ambarracing if they fell off redface
but i do paint my nails often. 1 layer of undercoat then the main colour.. it's always handy to have gel-coloured pens around.. they stay on well and washes away easily~ and they are a cheaper alternative for the nail polish pen heart domokun

I just leave my nails plain, polish makes them break faster, plus I don't have the time to remove and repaint and remove and repaint, I'm not nearly patient enough either. If I were to do my nails and be dressed up, I suppose I would do them with a pale, shiny pink... with pink and white glitter whee Maybe some decals instead, if the decals were cute enough. They're a pain though, so I wouldn't do them often.

It doesn't matter, you can either do very detailed designs or just put a clear/peachy color on, or leave them however you like. It isn't really one of those things that has set rules, it's just up to your personal style. I'm the the GL Bible has had a few articles on very decorative nails, and that there is an online site that sells elaborate glue-ons. edit: here's a link to DIY nails http://www.livejournal.com/community/egl/2705334.html

I've seen pictures in the Gothic and Lolita Bibles and they add charms and lace and pearls and SO much to their nails....each nail alone is a work of art! it's so pretty to look at but I could never do it because I'm...not too delicate and they'd break off all the time. xd

The Gosurori have pages of nail designs... very long, some are black with a differnent design painted on each one... there are ones that are pink with heart decals and rhinestones...

Wow, the nails are very pretty, but I know I'm not girly enough to do that, i normally just have black or pale pink nailvarnish, or none at all if my nails are in ok condition. Maybe next time I dress up I'll do something more special with my nails.

I'd recommend going and actually have a French_manicure done. The nails are tough as long as you're careful, and they stay looking nice for around three weeks, depending on how fast your nails grow. They take a little getting used to, but once you've had them they're easy to function with.

I used to have natural long nails, but last week I decided to get tips in a French manicure style. I'm regretting it now, I mean sure they're a whole lot stronger, but they'll damage my nails (fake nails damage your real nails and it takes about a year for them to get back to normal). When I go back in a few weeks I'm thinking about getting a design added on (just something simple like a lil' butterfly or bunny on each tip).

I'm pretty hard on my nails so they are mostly never done. But when I do get around to doing my nails I just do them a light pink or something like that. I have a few sets of fake nails I painted myself but they sorta creep me out when I have them on sweatdrop
