Isabel walked along the footpath outside the library and checked her watch again. a black sports car drove past her and parked in an ally nearby. Isabel walked over to it and got in to the back. the man behind the wheel smiled at her and pointed towards a bag on the seat. Isabel opened it to find a black suit, a pair of black glasses and a computer disc. she quickly changed into the suit and climbed over to the frount seat.
"whats up?" she said.
the man kept his eyes on the road.
"your being sent to a farm house in a small village town, about 20 mins from here. the family living there reported a UFO landing in their back yard about a week ago. 3 days ago the family was reported missing" the man said.
"so im looking for bodies?" Isabel asked.
"dont know. one of the UNIT guys found an alien substance on the wall in one of the rooms but we havent got a suspect yet" the man replied.
"does Captain Harkness know?" isable asked
"yes. he suggested you for this mission. he said that its about time you did work that wasn't just undercover in a school" the man answered. he sighed "we're here!"
Isabel nodded and opened the car door. "thanks for that Ben!"
Ben nodded. "you be careful Izzy!"
the car drove off. Isabel looked at the farm house. it looked normal. she pulled the computer disc from her pocket and inserted it into a small palm computer. all the info from this case was displayed. Isabel put the computer away, fixed her suits black tie and headed into the house.

[PIE!]
Sephy looked around.
'This is nice. Is it true that the corridors just go on and on...?'
'I think so! I've never found the end to them. But I suppose that's hardly conclusive. theres only so much you can do in a lifetime. Tea. Tea. Let's all have tea! To the kitchens!'
and he was off.
The others decided to follow.
'I like pie. did you know that? Apple pie. Maybe I should try making a jellybaby pie. Now that would be interesting. '

clara looked on in amusement as the doctor put jelly babies into a pie crust, covered it over and stuck it into the oven.
'I've always wondered about that. But the thing is... How long do we cook it for?'
'30 minutes.' said clara, turning around from the teapot.
'ah, well. we can wait that long, i suppose.'
'The dream, doctor.' said sephy
'What about it?' he looked hesitant.
'What was it about?'
'It was... a call. a sort of psychic distress call. From the preistesses of Xenon.'
'What's wrong?'
'I don't know. She didn't have enough energy to transmit that much at all. in fact, she had to use some of mine. Rather rude not asking, too. so it must have been dire. so we're going to Xenon now.'
'and? that's not all, I can tell.'
The Doctor paused for a moment.
'Well...' he began 'Tea!'
Sephy rolled her eyes and sighed. Clara giggled. This doctor person was weird.

Telia walked into the room ten minutes later. She had been exploring the TARDIS a little bit. She sniffed the air.
"What's burning?"
The Doctor jumped off his chair. "My pie!!!!"
"PI?" asked Clara, having just started her maths revision again.
"No! PIE! P-I-E!!!" The Doctor said agitatedlty. He reached into the oven to rescue his jellybaby pi. No. PIE. Oddly enough, it had misshapen to resemble both kinds of pi/pie. He had just got it out of the oven when the oven burst into flames, and song ((thank you devon...)).
"I'm on fire!!!" it screeched.

The Doctor looked at the pie.
'Well, I suppose I could try it...'
'It's not entirely burnt...' said c lara, eyeing the misshapen pie.
'Ah, well.' said the Doctor, getting a knife, and cutting into it. Melted jellybaby oozed out. The doctor dipped a finger into this odd gooey mixture and tasted it.
'mmmm.... meltedjellybabyish.'
'oooh. can I have some?' asked sephy.
'Of course!'
'That's disgusting.' said Telia.
'Ah well.'
They all sat down for tea... and jellybaby pie.
Suddenly, the doctor was knocked over backwards by some inviisible force.
'Okay, I'm coming!' he mumbled, picking himself up and stalking off to the control room.

'What was that?' asked clara.
'It was them. they need me, now. as in now now. So they sent me a message to remind me that.' he swayed a little as he stood, and grabbed the edge of a control panel to steady himself.
'And so they need...' his eyes dimmed.
'And - so - they - need...' his knees buckled and he fell to the ground.
'DOctor?' asked clara, kneeling down next to him.
'Don't touch him.' growled sephy.
'Why?'
'He's talking. If you attempt to wake him you could kill him.'
'oh.'
The Doctor mumbled again, something indistinct, in a lilting, fluid sort of language. It sounded like a song. suddenly, he sprang up.
'Okay, to...' he punched in the co-ordinates, and then held his head tiredly.
'oh, i've a splitting headache. Don't they know that it's rude to take someone else's energy without asking...'
'oh, dear. now let's go.' said Telia.

Sephy looked around for something interesting to do. She noticed a glob of jellybaby in the doctor's hair.
'Um, doctor, there's a...'
'Now, the place we're going to upholds their rituals very... strictly. If you don't follow them correctly, you must perform an apology ceremony. You must make way for sheep crossing the road. Never swat at a fly. If you see a flower, you must pick it and incinerate it.'
'WHAT?' came the stunned chorus.
'And when you...' he stopped again, swaying unsteadily. he put his hand up to his head.
'And...'
sephy and Telia ran over to him, this time ready to catch him if he fell again.
'And... never... say thank-you.'
He slid down into a sitting position and drew his knees up to his chin.
'Next time, I'm telling them to stop contacting me so often. It get worse every time they do it... aah!' His hand went to his head again, and he winced.

As they left the TARDIS, Clara looked around her. Everything looked normal enough. They were near the edge of a forest.
They could have been on earth. Until they spotted some creatures nearby.
'Duck!' hissed the DOctor, and they ran behind a tree. Clara clapped her hand over her mouth to stop herself from crying out. there were creatures there. they wore red and black robes that fitted their slender bodies perfectly. they had pearly white skin, two beady black eyes, slits for nostils and a strange, thin line for a mouth. they had no ears. or hair. They walked around with a fluid grace. they carried guns slung across their shoulders.
'Ah.' said the doctor, his face hardening.
'These people have been trying to take over the Priestesses. they hold some sort of ritual. they've been trying to get it.

"Duck?" Telia asked, a little confused. The Doctor took a closer look. "I think you're quite right Telia. Ducks. That would explain the fluid movements." Suddenly, one of the 'ducks' reacked the edge of what seemed to be a lake. It cast off it's robes and dived into the water. The Doctor blinked, rubbed his eyes and looked again. "Yes. Definently a Duck."  Clara gulped and nodded. "Some sort of ritual they're doing too?" she added, "I suggest we get out of here. Fast!" Sephy looked at her. "What's wrong with you??" she asked, one eyebrow on the point of being raised. "I hate ducks!!" Clara squeaked out. "But a poor little ducky wouldn't hurt you!" Telia said, rather ignorantly. "No." added the Doctor quietly. "But a Duck would." "The difference is.." Telia asked. "These Ducks. Are. Not. Real. Ducks. They're DUCKS." ((Sorry..I just had to do that.. xd ))

'Oh!' exclaimed Sephy. 'I know what they are! we learned about them in the academy. But... what are they doing here?'
'Trying to steal something from the priestesses.'
'ah.'
'what?' asked Telia.
'I'm not telling.' the doctor had the annoying singsong voice of a five-year-old.
Clara giggled.
Sephy smiled.

The doctor grinned at them, but then seemed to randomly fall asleep.
'is he narcoleptic?' whispered Clara.
'He's being contacted again.' said Sephy.
The Doctor's lips seemed to be moving. Then, without a warning he sat up again, clutching at his head and moaning softly.
'sorry.' he said, his voice low. 'they say that the ducks are going to... do something... looking for them... underground passage... walk... not too far from here... need as many as they can get to help...'
'is he making any sense to you at all?' asked clara.
'yes.' came the reply from sephy. 'they need us. and theres an underground passage to bypass the ducks not too far from here.'
'ah.'
'Precisely.' The Doctor staggered to his feet, keeping low so as not to attract attention to the ducks, and stumbled off. they had no choice but to follow.

They arrived at a stump of a tree. it was polished smooth. the doctor pulled at a knobbly bit of bark, and a door in it opened onto a deep, dark tunnel. He still held his head gingerly and swayed a little where he stood.
'down...' he whispered.

'you don't look too well...' said sephy.
'I don't feel too well.' snapped the Doctor, taking them all by surprise. He took a deep breath.
'Sorry. Tired. I suppose i'll be able to lie down for a while when we get there...'
'it's fine.' muttered sephy. 'Shall I go first?'
'okay.' said telia.
Sephy leapt lightly over the edge, and fell down... down...
she was gathering speed. She rapped the sides of the tunnel with a knuckle, listening to the echoes. the bottom of the tunnel was soft. thank god. she landed with a soft 'whump' and looked around her. she was on some sort of foam pit.
'Are you dead?' called Telia from above.
'Yes.' shouted sephy.
'Okay.'
there was the scream as Telia and Clara jumped.
They both landed seconds later in the foam pit, followed by the Doctor.
'Don't scream.' hissed Telia.
'Sorry...' whispered Clara.
Sephy clambered easily out of the foam pit, followed by Telia and CLara. The Doctor was left struggling to get out.
'help.' he said, a small smile beginning on his face.
Sephy and CLara returned the smile and leant down to pull the Struggling timelord out.
'thanks.' he said, panting slightly.

'No problem.' replied Clara.

there was a corridor that stretched from the pit on and on. Forward. It twisted and turned, split into different passages, and in some places was very steep.
'WHich way do we go?' asked Sephy.
The Doctor closed his eyes and his lips moved for a moment.
'It'll be hard, and I'll need to rest as soon as we get there, but they can give me directions as we walk.'
'Sounds like a plan.' said Telia.

when they finally reached the end of the tunnel, there was a lady there. she was dressed in a robe that shimmered with all the colours of the rainbow. around her head there was a circlet of woven silver inset with a small emerald. She raised her palms in welcome, and opened a door for them. The Doctor was shaking all over and looked awfully pale by now.
'the head priestess wishes to see you.' she said.
'Can't it wait?' he mumbled, leaning against the wall for support.
'no. You can rest later. but she needs to see you now.'
Sephy, Clara and Telia helped him into the building.

They entered a gigantic hall. the walls were of a white marble that seemed to glow with power. Up on a dais stood the head Priestess.
'Doctor.' she called, as they entered.
'What?'
She frowned.
'We are in grave danger. our walls will not hold for long. The Ducks
[A/N I feel so stupid writing this]
will get through soon, and they will steal our light.'
'Okay.'
'You must help us.'
'I'm not really doing much good here, now, am I? And I think I should sit down before I fall over.'
'You are tired, then?'
'Tired? tired? what do you think? It's rude to take energy from other without asking. you of all people should have known that.'
'there was no time to perform our ritual.'
'You could have asked. No person, not even me was supposed to take that much strain on their own. As I recall, it was a five-way conversation. all on me! now how...'
'Doctor, we need to return to the topic. We need your help to protect us.'
'of course.'
'then you will start immediately.'
'no, He won't.' the reply came from all three of the girls standing behind him.
The priestess shook her head sadly.
'There is a room for you. Semeria here,' she indicated a young, frightened looking novice standing by her side 'will show you there.'

the young girl led them down a hallway, always sneaking glances behind her. The Doctor smiled wearily.
'don't worry, I won't bite.'
'Are you a real Timelord?' she asked in wonder.
'yes.'
'wow!'
they came to a blue door, and she opened it.
'thank you, my dear.' said the DOctor, and he, followed by he new-found entourage of three girls entered. There were three beds and a matress inside. a curtain hung drawn, which would seperate one of the beds, presumably the doctor's, from the others.
'I'll take the matress while we're here. I'm used to it.' mumbled sephy.
'what do we do?' asked clara.
'You can sit for a while.' The Doctor took off his shoes and loosened his shirt collar.
Sephy pulled the curtains, and the exhausted Timelord went to sleep.

((Well, you have to admit it is funny..))
Telia sat on the floor. "So. Explain about the Ducks?"
Sephy put a finger to her lips. "Shh..sleeping timelord."
"Why do you never answer me?? What have I ever done to you?"
"Hmm..let's see..."
"Okay. Bad question. But I have an aversion to assasins."
Sephy looked at her, almost knowingly.
"Who killed your parents?"
Telia stiffened. "Pardon?"
"It's rather obvious, you know." she started ticking off point on her fingers, "Presumably lives alone, carries a saber for protection, hates assasins, neve mentions her past, never mentions family, unused to dealing with people..." she trailed off.
"Is it really any of your buisness?"
"I could help you find them. If you told me, I could possibly tell you who they were, how to find them, kill them..it all depends."
There was an awkward silence as Telia contemplated this, broken only by a grunting snore from the Doctor. Sephy, still standing by the curtain, look past them and said, "No snoring, Doctor."
The Doctor mumbled an apology, possibly to a companion, as he thought.
"Try not to dribble on your scarf either Doctor, it's..well, unpleasant for anyone who touches it next."
Clara interupted with a cough. "Well, I dont' care abotu you two, but I still have maths homework to do!"
((How old is Clara again??))
