Kate, Sawyer and Hurley are the ones that keep seeing things on the island that aren't supposed to be there...I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
Sawyer had the run-in with the polar bear in the first season, and then he went around crazily chasing a frog. Kate has seen the horse, and Hurley saw his imaginary friend Dave.
Jack I don't know...he saw Desmond which was kind of strange, but I don't think that means the guy "wasn't there" so to speak. Unless there was just a random guy and Jack's mind made him
think it was the guy he met earlier, therefore he's seeing things too...but that may be getting too deep. Or not...
Come to think of it, didn't Walt see the polar bear too? Maybe that's why he was kidnapped.

3nodding So they have all seen things then. Are they the only ones though? I can't remember if other people have been seeing things that shouldn't be there.
It did seem a little forced to me though that the four people that 'happened' to find out that Libby and Ana got shot just 'happen' to be the four Michael wants to go with him.
