We do that after every football game in the small boys bathroom except it is the entire drumline including snare, bass drum, and cymbols. alot of people crowd in there and the drumline plays the cadences extra loud and when we all yell the vocals it gets so loud ... you lose your hearing (hopefully just for a short time) and it is quiet ... last time when we wanted to go in and dance a couple drummers went in and then came back out and told us to wait a minute... after a couple min. and old man walked out of the bathroom and gave us this confuzed look wondering why a huge mob was trying to fit in a small bathroom including girls none the less ... god i can't believe we won't have any more parties till next year...i got a chunk of drumstick that flew off in memory of this years season

kerospirit91 I think I'd rather NOT use earplugs...it would throw my hearing off entirely...although its pretty bad already. THANK YOU SLAVEN AND YOUR LOVELY BATHROOMS CADENCES
Yea, small rooms please 11 people together, equals chaos and deaf drummers. Why do I say this? Well, we do these things called Bathroom Cadences after home football games. Its where everyone on the Drumline (4 snares, 2 tenors, 5 bass drums) in the guys bathroom and we play a cadence as loud as we can. Yea, it bounces off and it sounds like a rock concert. (Note: 4/5 of the bass drums are girls)
But, when we aren't in a small room; either a large band room or out on the field, we often hear,"BASS DRUMS, PLAY LOUDER!" or "BASS DRUMS, HIT THE FREAKIN DRUMS!" Yea.... hey we do that too!! except we do play loud and definatly risk breaking our instuments... and our Sax player gets up ontop of the stall and Stripps down to boxers whee

i love how loud drums are! i can feel them pulsing through my body and i just ignore the whole my-ears-are-dying thing. I think its really funny when other band members come into the room and act like they're dying of all the noise the drums make. WHIMPS!!! well, yeah...that is all...

Dude, when we warm-up, I'm positioned in the arc next to a quad player who refuses to check his heights. It's so effing loud! My right ear's half deff. And to make it worse, thought Fall season I was in a cymbal line with a kid who's hands are in no way connected to his feet! So the met was on full blast in the his direction (I'm next to him, sadly... TT.TT).
But yeah, I do like when we get to play CRAZY loud! Lead crashes, eval crashes, siz-sucks! (*_*)
Have you ever warmed up in an alley? It's crazy...
