"Yes. Um. Thank you for understanding." Glee stared down at her hand, the one that was clenched in with Riven's.
"Yes, well, I went and ranted at Ray and he reminded me that I was saying everything he told me when I decided to have Bronnie." Sunny huffed at her brother, who sniggered.
"But it was true," he pointed out.

Sosiqui laughed. "I can't say I ever want to have kids - biological ones," she clarified, "but, well... I suppose you two have my blessing, provided you at least get a start on the house... and do try and get married before too long, okay?" She winked. "I don't care if Ghlyssa gets pregnant first, since you don't have that kind of cultural stigma to deal with, but make sure you plan things out as far as timing... and things. Okay?"
Riven looked at Ghlyssa. "We'll have the house planned, at least, and decided where it's going to be... okay?"
Sosiqui nodded; Riven looked over at Sunny.

Sunny nodded, too. "That sounds about right. As long as there's, you know, somewhere for the baby to live by the time it's born, right?"
Ghlyssa nodded. "Yes, okay. I think we can do that. We'll get started with that first. And then we can worry about... um... the baby."

"And we'll leave the technicalities of the baby to the GMFC," Sosiqui said, quickly. "Since it seems rather obvious the traditional way won't work here."

Ray sniggered again, and Sunny shot him a look. "Yes, I suppose that's true," she said.
Ghlyssa looked at Riven, slightly perplexed; what discussion had branched from her question the other day had been awfully confusing.

Riven shrugged back. "I, um, don't... yeah." He shrugged and turned a little pink, but mostly because Sosiqui had been rather red while explaining to him. Maybe you were supposed to change colors.

Sunny let out a slight giggle. "Well. Do we have anything else on the table?"

"Tea," Sosiqui said, picking her cup up again. "Slightly cold. I can make more if need be..."
She rested one hand on Riven's shoulder as she stood up, and smiled at both Fa'e. "I'll help you every step of the way. And if I'm helping too much, please tell me to go away."
Riven grinned. "Okay."

Sunny nodded. "What she said goes for me, too."
Ghlyssa squeezed Riven's hand, looking up at Sosi, then over at Sunny, and back to Sosi. "Thank you. Um. Both of you."

Time shift - Monday the 21st, Realtime
Riven floated excitedly around the glade, laying his hands on first one tree trunk, than another, the light from the edge of the forest streaming in.
Maybe it would be perfect? Maybe? Sosiqui and Sundragyn were waiting as he and Ghlyssa inspected, and Five and Bronnie ran around doing... whatever it was they did.

Ghlyssa watched Riven, amused, weaving among the trees after him. She laid a hand on each tree as well, speaking briefly with it, and moved on.
She tilted her head. "What are you thinking?" she asked.

"I'm thinking I like it," Riven said, beaming.
It hadn't been a one-day decision, that's for sure. They had hiked along the edge of the forest nearest to HQ for the past few days, Ghlyssa speakign with the trees, Sosiqui and Sundragyn hemming and hawing over each place they stopped.
But this... this was nice. A small stream exited the woods nearby, the sound of its flowing peaceful and calming. The trees were large and old, and there were many of them packed around a small clearing. It looked like something large had crashed through her a long, long time ago, killing the trees in the center. In their places were a few dead stumps and a carpet of grass, budding spring flowers, and thick moss.
It had taken some reassurance and a bit of Ghlyssa speaking to the trees to figure out that whatever had taken out those trees was long since gone. "And you? What do you think? What do they say?"

"I like this place. I do wonder what happened, but... it's very peaceful." Ghlyssa turned around, thinking. "The trees... I told them what we want to do. They wouldn't mind at all." She spun in a small circle, wings and arms outstretched. "It's... it's a good place."

Riven turned around and looked at Sosiqui - his Guardian was leaning on a tree right on the forest's edge, near the stream. She was smiling.
He turned back to Ghlyssa, a soft smile on his own face. "Will they move for us? Now?"

"I think so." Ghlyssa looked up at the trees, hands upheld and eyes closed while she conferred briefly with the Earthkeeper and the trees.
Above, the trees creaked slightly, old branches becoming temporarily supple. As though blown in a wind, they bent and waved chaotically, moving steadily, slowly, to curve downwards and weave together. New branches began to grow as needed, twisting to make the beginnings of internal walls and doorways. The tops of the trees, despite their twisting trunks and lower branches, rose straight above to the sun.
The supple branches once again stiffened and froze into place. There were large gaps in what might eventually become walls, and the ceiling was all but non-existant, but there was a definite shape, at the very least.
As the trees settled into their new positions, Glee's eyes flicked open, and she let out a little gasp. "Oh..."
