Barad-dur

Me? Him? Hah!

In spite of his unhappy situation, Ji Indur couldn't help but snort derisively at the Orc's question. Indeed he was not Murazor -that mean, egotistical, dwonach-loving fiend! Lucky for him he was a wraith or he'd have ballooned to ten times his size ages ago.

Of course he didn't say any of this out loud. He was torn between worry at the mention of "da Boss," and possessiveness upon noticing the direction of the Orc's gaze. How dare he stare at my hoard like that... I got that sapphire off of an old widow with eight small children, that's my precious, I'll never give it up. My precious! I wonder how much dirt is on this fellow? How dirty can one body become? Eurgh, dirt... my precious...

But out loud he only said in what he hoped was his best wet-pants-provoking voice, I am not he. The one whom you seek resides in the center room.

Barad-dur ::Tower of the Nine

Wurmha

The Orc-messenger slightly cringed as the horrid monster spoke, but recovered his composure quickly enough. "The center room? Well, I suppose that would make sense..." he murmured to the sapphire on the ground. But bloody 'ell, why can't these Nazgul filth label the doors anyway? He shook his head in abhorrent disgust. I'll have to come back for the sapphire later, once this bloke here is off to Rhun or wherever d'ell da Boss has him going.

The Orc bowed deeply before Ji Indur. "I thank you for bein' hospitable to me, my great and merciful lord." He rose swiftly, and before Ji Indur could say another word, Wurmha was gone; and yet not before taking another glance at that glorious sapphire, a godly treasure, too beautiful and fair to justify being cooped up in this accursed tower of the Nine. Yes, Wurmha would be back...

Center door. Oh, how logic prevails in the end. The messenger knocked on the center door, and yelled loudly, "Er-Murazor, Lord of the Nine, da Boss sends tidings and cruel demands to you, so get out here before he gets mad!"

Uvatha looked up at the sound of a gruff voice shouting. Curious, she rose silently. She strode over to her bedroom door and opened it, looking at the orc with invisible eyes.

She spoke under her breath. Hmmm. Now this should be interesting. She smiled slightly to herself as she leaned against the frame of the door and waited for the fun to begin. Her eyes darted from the orc to Murazor's door. She wouldn't have to wait long.

Barad-dur

I hope he doesn't wanna take my treats

Murazor heard the banging on his door and the loud orc-voice, and moved away from the wall where he'd been leaning and munching on a dwonach. Sauron had done a good job of cursing him out, and the Wraith-lord was using the sweet, unhealthy bread to stave off absolute depression.

He opened the door and looked down at the Orc-messenger, gaze slightly unsteady due to the sugar high that would soon be upon him.

What is it?

Barad-dur :: Tower of the Nine
Wurmha

The deadening silence of the tower was soundly put down as not one, nor two, but three doors slowly creaked open. Had not Wurmha been a courageous and noble Orc, one of high ancestry, he very well may have wet himself in his fright, fo being surrounded by those dread beings, the Nazgul.

Oh, nay. Wurmha had none of those traits. And, yea, it is true that Wurmha did wet himself. Embarrassed, he shifted his right leg in a foolish attempt to hid the urine stains on his greasy armor.

Doing his very best to avoid eye contact with Er-Murazor, the pitiful beast recited his commands. "Da Boss wants you out of this country by nightfall. He's sendin' y'all to Rhun, north of here. Yer supposed to rally the idiot Men to his cause, and rape n' slaughter anything that doesn't bow down to him." He glanced up, nervously, to see if anyone had a bloodthirsty look in their eye yet, or if his mess had been discovered. "He said you couldn't possibly mess this up, and that if you did you'd be punished when you came back and please don't hurt me!"

There was more to the Boss's order, but at that point Wurmha convulsed into a hideous mess of panicked Orc and could hardly say his own name, much less Sauron's intrinsically detailed command.

Barad-dur

I've got the right to listen, it's my tower too!

Hurrah, slaughter!

After she tired of setting things on fire, Adunaphel had begun listening to the conversation outside. When she caught Sauron's orders regarding Rhun, her long-deprived bloodlust came flaring up and she couldn't help but give a frighteningly cheerful cry. Grabbing Naurmel, she dashed out into the hall.

I'm ready, my Lord! she declared in a tone which suggested that anyone who thought otherwise would be sliced, diced and boiled in his own juices, then fed to Dilando.

Opportunity knocks! ..well, sort of

Ji Indur came rushing out right after Adunaphel. In his completely evil yet completely ditzy mind, mission + Men + slaughter = more shiny plunder, and who was he to argue with higher math? He couldn't help but skip a little in excitement.

Count me in too! Skip, skip, skip.

Pause.

Sniff, sniff. Another pause. Then:

Eurgh, something in here smells like- *censored for the sake of the baby Orcs*

Well, at least they aren't taking forever

Murazor couldn't help but raise an invisible eyebrow at the enthusiasm and speed with which his two subordinates appeared. Eavesdropping, most definitely, but what could he do? They were supposed to be gone by nightfall.

His eyebrow rose even higher upon hearing Ji Indur's choice vocabulary. The Cloud King was... well, he was a vain little pansy -but boy, could he swear. Everyone in Mordor could. Just not as well as Ji.

To the frightened (and smelly) Orc cowering before him he said, Very well. We shall do this deed. To Adunaphel he said, Rouse the others.

And his eyebrow almost left his face when he saw how quickly Adunaphel banged on the other doors and loudly summoned her comrades, her summons liberally sprinkled as always with threats of burning.

Barad-dur :: Tower of the Nine
Wurmha

Seeing that his task was complete, Wurmha slunked towards the stairs. He was glad that he survived the ordeal, for he feared that the Nazgul would kill him, for whatever reason. After all, they did have that evil reputation. But he ahd survived yet another day, and for this, even he, a foul Orc of foul deeds, was happy.

Or, at least he was until he tripped on the stairs. By the time he had reached the bottom of the thousandth flight, his neck was snapped and he was dead.

Akhorahil of the Nine

He too had dropped eaves upon the King’s conversation, yet he was not nearly as enthusiastic. "Why? Why should we go upon this foul errand of Sauron's? Is it not because of him that she is dead? Nay. I will not go willingly. She has passed from the world, and I am forever sundered from her. The bond we shared was one that can never be re-forged, not by Dark Man nor Orc. Alas! Wilma, our time together was too short. I still weep for thee."

Perhaps if he were not too absorbed in the death of his beloved, he would have noticed the numerous stares in his direction. But notice these, he did not, for he had retreated once more into his chamber.

Barad-dur

I'll take What The Udun Was That?!? for 500

Ji Indur stared at Akhorahil like it was going out of fashion as he listened to the former king murmuring about someone who had obviously been very close to him. Being the ditz that he was, the Cloud King had never really noticed anything that wasn't too easy to see. Confused, he scratched his invisible head as he watched his comrade go back to his room.

I don't understand.

You idiot. Adunaphel was quite close to Dilandau as well and could empathize somewhat. During our last mission, while you were busy running after new jewelry, Akhorahil lost his Wilma to an Elven-blade. They were quite close and he has never been the same since. Why do you think he left the battle?

Oh! I'd forgotten about that!

There was a pause as the other Nazgul cursed whatever rotten luck that had stuck them with someone as sad as Ji Indur.

So who wants to get him out of there?

Several pairs of gauntleted hands shoved him forward.

Fine, then. Let's not all step forward at once... He knocked on Akhorahil's door. Akhorahil? It's me, Ji Indur. Would you step out for a moment?

"No."

Uvatha's smile widened as her eyes fixed on the broken body of the orc. She swept out of her room and down the stairs, stopping in front of the orc. She tilted her head, grinning. She giggled. Funny, funny little orc! They never ceased to amuse her dark fancy. She strode back up the steps and turned to the other nazgul, gripping her blade. I'm bored. I want some humans to play with. She ran one hand over her morgul blade.

Her head turned from Akhorahil's door to Ji Indur. She waited impatiently for his door to open.

Barad-dur

I don't think I heard you right

Ji Indur was rather taken aback by Akhorahil's response -being a former king, he'd been used to having people bend over backwards to obey his whims. And who wouldn't want to serve someone with his loveable personality? He knocked at the door again.

Oh, come on, Akhorahil! You're joking, aren't you? Come on, everyone's waiting...

Akhorahil of the Nine

"Oh, I'm sorry. I was under the assumption that in the Black Speech, no meant no. I suppose that you, Ji Indur, have a much greater understanding of this tongue, so that you can realize that no actually means yes. Yes is no, no is yes! Welcome to Tilionside!"

If the door hadn't been shut, perhaps Akhorahil would have realized that everyone thought him deranged. Tilionside? What madness had taken him?

((Is willing to bet that no one understands where Tilionside came from.))

What they say about nice guys is oh so true

Adunaphel saw that this conversation was going nowhere, and while Ji Indur was once again scratching his invisible head as he puzzled over what Tilionside was supposed to mean, she elbowed him out of the way and pounded on Akhorahil's door.

Akhorahil, open this door and come forth, or by the pits of Grond, I will MAKE you!

((You're right, I have NO idea.))

Barad-dur :: Tower of the Nine
Akhorahil of the Nine

"O! what a foul, cruel world this is, when a depressed wraith is not even allowed to weep in peace! Can I not have just one moment's peace? I see that I shall not. I will come out, but I do so in violent protest! Mark my words, Adunaphel, when the Dark Lord is returned from without, I will see to it that he punishes every single last one of you!"

Certainly, many eyes were rolled at his utterly annoying whining, but it mattered not, for slowly, Akhorahil thrust open his iron door, and emerged once more into the tower's main chamber. "Okay. I'm out. HAPPY?"

He gazed about, wishing death and misfortuned upon all. "Not that it matters. Its not like half of us even have a mount to take us to Rhun anyway." And with this, he burst into tears, for the memory of his beloved was still too near for him to endure, and merely speaking of the Fell-beasts, the kindred of Wilma, was simply too much.

We'll have to find a good therapist later

Adunaphel, having heard many such curses and thinking nothing of them in her long (un)life, shrugged and said nothing. Ji Indur blanched a little (not that you could tell). Murazor stepped forward and took charge.

Akhorahil, stop this at once, he commanded. You may ride behind me upon Ridley. But you will cease this sniveling and come with us. NOW.
