Darkness.

And strangely alluring green lights.

That's all what his still unconcious mind could remember, and though his brain was slowly starting to work away within the fog sleep created, the ideas, the thoughts and the knowledge came little by little. Awareness of being in a laying position passed by, sheets wrapped over him, his arms snuggling a pillow tightly; the friction it caused against his skin as he moved the only thing that slowly brought him out of the dream world.

Bicolored eyes slowly opened to gaze around a blurry room, the items and objects scattered around unfocussed, his hand unconciously uncurling from under the pillow with a groan to hover over the small table that sat by the bed, blindly searching for something in particular.

It wasn't till his fingers found a pair of glasses that the Rosin stopped his blin search, his hand directing them over his nose, a sigh released as the room slowly came into focuss and the earlier events languidly coming back to them, "Welcome indeed..." though Blythe felt lightheaded, he slowly sat up on the bed, his eyes resting on a top hat that was securely placed over the same small table the glasses had been at, and though his hands reached for it, he never placed it over his head, but rather, left it on his lap, his arms resting on top of it as he toos his time to take in the room. Was this 'home'?

There was some heavy thumping that came into existance some moments later in the distance outside the safe haven of the four walls of Blythes room. The thumping became louder yet as if drawing closer. Then suddenly it stopped, just as the glint of light beneath the doorway was blotted out by a luming figure.

Three repeated knocks came on the door, it shook a little as what ever had knocked it had a great weight behind it. Soon after there was a whispered voice from outside the wooden door.

" Ya dang blasted heffa, ya tryin tah give the kid a heart attack? Bloody hell, ya got the touch of a howitzer."

A blink before the Rosin slowly turned to face the door, expression paling by moments till the voice was heard; from what little he could descipher from the words it looked like whomever was beyond had probably not meant to scare him. Thus so, the color slowly came back to his face, a sigh being released as he rubbed his temple slightly.

"Come in!" he called as he slowly stood up from his bed and took the time to dust and place his hat neatly over his head; being someone whom relied upon logic to get through any sort of problem faced with, Blythe had decided that letting them in would probably be a better idea than having the door knocked down out of it's hinges, "I'm awake now!"

And had I not been, that tremendous noise would've probably done the trick... The notion passed briefly through his mind, the boy being unable to keep himself from snorting faintly at himself for his most eloquent observation.

" Well he would be awake after that wouldn't he?"

Another voice joined the previous in resounding outside the door. It sounded odd, like the words were being dragged through a rusty speaker box.

" Soooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyy"

The handle turned on the door and slowly swung open to reveal an amusing picture. Nearly taking up the dor frame was a large metal and stone made man, at least it looked like a male, but with the pink apron it was wearing, it was hard to tell. Up on its lef shoulder sat the smallest of men, a tiny fellow with a smoking pipe and covered in grit, soot and grease. The construct stepped slowly inside, it was easy to know where the thumps had come from earlier by it's stocky steps.

" Geez, remind me tah fix ya motion later"

The little fellow slid down the back of the construct and onto the floor, where he promptly made his way to Blythe's feet and looked up at him.

" Well ya turned out well didnya?.. Me names Sparks and this here is Nanny.. we'll be lookin after ya an the others. PLus.. we brought gifts!"

With a grin, he motioned to Nanny, who in two of her arms carried a tall white box, wrapped in a red bow, and placed it next to the childs feet. In it's other hand it held a tray, which it placed on the table beside his bed. On it appeared a plate witha peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and a glass of milk. The construct almost appeared to smile before it spoke and motioned to the food.

" Eaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaattt"

There was an unbearably long pause during which the child took the time to blink, stare, and blink again, almost as if not quite believing the sight that stood before him for his eyes to feast on; even though his mind swiftly mean the connections, noting almost immediately that the large being was in fact a Construct, he didn't think he knew the man that sat on it's shoulder.

What's more, for some reason the idea of a Construct with a pink apron left Blythe short from a giggle fit which he hid politely, his features melting into a smile for some odd reason. The fact they were not there to harm him was notably imprinted in his mind, a sense of trust already developing for those he did not truly know, however, the Rosin spoke not and merely tilted his head, careful his hat would not fall off.

Turned out well?

Another slow blink as he turned his gaze upon himself, lifting a hand, twisting it this way and that before his gaze; yes, satisfying.... turned out well indeed, he supposed. The mention of gifts had Blythe's attention focused on the pair swiftly, eyes widening, having not truly noted just how hungry he'd been till the foods were offered, "Gee, thanks! Don't mind if I do!" the boy's voice was cheerful, sweet in nature and seemingly devoid of any ill feelings as he reached with one hand and took the sandwich, reaching out for the box with his other hand. Once seated on the bed and after taking two bites, he settled the sandwich aside and took to unwrapping the bow from the box idly wondering what was in it, "What is it?"

" Well that lad be a surprise, and that's part of the fun bout presents."

The little three foot tall tinker gnome grinned and winked at Blythe and turned around to the construct. With a wave of his hand, the pink clad construct picked up the tiny fellow in its hand and placed him on its shoulder once more.

" We be just checkin tah see how ya be, hope ya enjoy the gift lad... if ya need anythin, just come see Nanny here"

Sparks patted Nanny on the head and grinned once more before the pair of them made their way out the door and closed the door behind them. The sounds of the constructs footsteps faded down the hall.

The box almost falls apart when opened, but it is designed that way. There was a reason for it being so tall. The gift sits on an adjustable stand and is folded up enough to sit in the box. Shining of brightly polished brass, the telescope is covered up at each end, to keep the lenses clean.

Given time, Blythe will eventually realise he can see anything he wishes to see that is happening anywhere at that moment in time, just by desiring it so and looking through the scope. There are a few exceptions to this rule, or raher places that will not work. These include: The mountain, the grey tower, the industrial complex, Spark's workshop, anyperson's room, the batrooms and toilets.
