Well he hit because Keanu had been silly enough to think the same rules applied everywhere, but Keanu was also a fiar player. He nodded. "Yep, you hit me... But I'm not letting it happen again!" He called back, flicking his own tail back and forth as he waiting a moment. "If you say so." Well fair was fair, but...
Allowing him to go first might not have been the 'fairest' thing. Keanu obviously knew a bit more about fighting than Cody did, even if Cody would later beat him in brute strength. For now all that could be done was Keanu suddenly leaping foreard on his own before balancing on one leg to swing a sidekick in the bull's direction.

Cody watched the leopard boy move, he didn't show any sign of even trying to block as the kick landed solid and sent him flying accross the lawn, kidding and rolling to a stop a few yards away. For a moment he laid motionless in the grass, his eyes blinking hard as he tried to re-focus. After a short time, Cody pushed himself up to his hooves again, reaching up to wipe at the blood that had started from around his nosering and his lip.
It hurt, that was to be sure, but he'd never seen a kick before. It was strong, interesting. Maybe he could learn to do that sometime too. "Whooo dawgie!" Cody looked at his hand where he had smeared the blood.

He might not have meant to hit the boy in the face, but his aim wasn't at it's best lately. He'd been a bit off balance since he'd had to keep the bandage over his eye, and that became obvious as he had t bounce a few paces after the kick to keep from falling over as well. By the time he had regained his balance the other boy was wiping his face before emitting another of those odd comments he seemed to make. Though what the leopard saw certainly wasn't something he liked.
Keanu didn't mind the idea of hurting something, but only if it was bad, or evil. Hurting someone who hadn't done anything to deserve it ran very badly with him, and the sight of blood was enough to signal he'd hurt someone. Both of the felines ears immediately fell with the knowledge he'd done something bad, or wrong by his standards and he stepped forward the few paces needed to better access the situation. "Ah! I'm sorry! I-I didn't mean to do that. I mean... Uh. Are you alright? You, well... You're bleeding and-"

"Blooding." He looked to his hand, licking at his lip a bit. He didn't like the taste of it, but it felt strange running down from his lip, "Yup, I'm bloodin' alright."
He looked up with a smirk, "We done? See! I told ya I was tough." He snorted again, pawing at the ground. Of course the snort only meant a bit of blood dribbled out from his nose. "Runny nose." He grimmaced, wiping at his face again.
"CODY!?" Winter bellowed from the doorway, dropping the broom she had been using to sweep the dust out to the front.
"Uh oh..." Cody sunk down a bit into his shoulders, looking over to his guardian with a bashful wave, "Eh..H...Hi Winter. Lookit- I'm blooding!"
"That's not a good thing....", she looked over to the older boy, narrowing her eyes, "Think it's fun going around smackin' little kids then? I should give you a whoopin' myeslf!"
"No no!" Cody protested, "We were just playin'"

"I'm sorry!" Came the persistent reply after the confirmation that he was bleeding. Keanu was more worried about the ordeal than Cody it seemed, but then again he had just broken one of his main rules. Hurting someone who wasn't bad. Definitely not a good thing to do. The question of wether they were done might have puzzled the leopard more if he hadn't been wanting to hit himself upside the head for doing what he'd just done in the first place. He hadn't mean to, but it still had happened.
The woman running out and suddenly turning her glare upon him didn't make him feeling better. "I- but... I didn't mean to hurt him." He said quickly, his head sinking a bit. "I don't think it's fun, I don't do that." Ah, but he had just done that. Accidentally of course, but the fact was he had just hit the other YOUNGER boy rather hard. Even the fact Cody still insisted it was a game didn't make it any better.
It might have been bad timing, or simply that the yelling from Winter had woken him up, but it was at this moment that Ymir gave a loud yawn to signify he was back with them. Though the hybrid didn't seem to quite know what was going on, or when this older woman had arrived. "Chrr-p?"

Winter looked scoldingly between the two boys, obviously a bit cautious now that the dragon had stirred and was watching her as defensively as she was watching Cody. The young woman sighed dismissively, looking down to Cody who was still grinning dispite the scolding. Quirking her lip a bit into a smirk of her own she looked over to the older boy. "...well..." She scratched her head, "Cody does tend to start things... he's not gotten it into his head that he's small yet."
"Little don't mean nothin'." Cody snorted stubbornly, "I can beat up anythin' I wanna.... I beat up the feather kid kinda. I tackled 'em good." He put his hands on his hips, allowing the blood to run down his face from his nose.
"Yeah and he's got hollow bones..." She said dryly, bending over to tilt the boy's head up, "Come on, we'll get that cleaned up." She glanced to the leopard boy, smiling a bit, "Come inside- you look like you can use a cream soda."

Inside. Inside was good for the frostily hued dragon. Even if Keanu was still looking like he think he'd committed one of the larger sins in the world a few good nudges sent him slowly walking after the woman toward the house. One overheated dragon was not something to disobey, even if it would never hurt you.
"I... I still should have known better and not done it, even on accident." The res to fthe world might be willing to forgive him for mistakes, but Keanu wasn't ready to give it up on himself. He had to fix this flaw of his, make sure something like this didn't happen again. He could only attack bad people, and Cody wasn't bad. Cody was rather nice, even if he had wanted to tussle like that. He'd done the wrong here, so he needed to learn from it and fix it. That's what Raja had once said right? Learn from mistakes?
Trudging along even after the offer of a soda he did so mainly for two reasons. That Ymir was making him and to ensure that Cody was, infact, going to be aright. "Being little doesn't matter much, but it's not right to hit someone who has done nothing wrong..." He'd been insisting since he was younger that he could care for himself, so h knew Cody's plea all too well. Still that didn't excuse his actions, no nothing could excuse that.

Winter shook her head, walking into the kitching to retrieve an armful of cotton swabs and cream soda, handing one to each of the boys, "You really shouldn't be so hard on yourself.' She said as politely as she could manage, setting her own soda down on the coffee table and motioning for Cody to move over to her. The bull boy snorted a bit, holding a hand under his nose to keep it from dripping all over the carpet. "But it's good to see that you're not without some guilt about it...yeah it was the wrong thing to do but I know Cody- he probibly quite literally asked for it...hold still you."
Cody was squirming, not at all used to having a damp cotton swab run around his face. It was cold for one... and for two his bloody nose was COOL! It meant he was tough because he hadn't cried. "I asked tah play!" Cody's voice sounded stuffy, a bit humerious if not for the circomstances, "An we did, it was fun. I'm gonna learn to get better so I can beat -his- butt. You'll see."
"No beating butts until you'e older..." Winter huffed, stuffing a pair of cotton swabs up the boy's nose, not enough to get stuck, but enough to plug him up, "Breathe through your mouth. Just leave those there until it stops. "I ooun unnah!" Cody protested but sat himself down at a scolding look from Winter.

He rubbed at his head lightly at the words, he didn't like yelling at himself internally. The fact remained though, he'd done something that broke every code he had repeated to himself for all the time. Something he wouldn't let go of easily. At least not until what came next. "What does age have to do with being able to stop bad guys?" Obviously the fact it was his butt that Cody had just proclaimed he'd kick later on escaped the boy. He was more concerned with the idea that just cause you where 'little' you couldn't do something great.
"My mum always ays I'm too little to be able to deal with bad guys, but she's wrong. I can beat them just fine, so age and size don't have much to do with it. It's doing your best and trying with all your might that's the big part of it." Of course this was ignoring the fact that he'd never really run into a bad person to fight yet. Argue with? Sure, that'd happened, just no one who deserved to get hurt because of it.
Ymir took a moment to listen to the conversation before deciding that perhaps there were better things to do with his time. It was much cooler indoors which meant his mood was improving. The nap had also helped a lot, so shortly after the woman finished with the boy's nose he sidled over and nudged her leg gently before looking up his tail waving a few times. This act was of course followed by a darling little chirp for if Ymir had learned to do one thing right, it was how to be cute enough to get some attention from any random person.

"I shoond ub oo a aad aye!" ((I stood up to a bad guy)) Cody said akwardly, waving his hand around excitedly in the air, "Eee aaab a oonber wib a maper mag on iss eaad an I sared 'em noog!" ((He was a monster with a paper bag on his head and I scared him good)) He seemed horribly excited by this story, standing up and thumping a fist on his chest. He also stood up to his teacher and pushed kids over into the blocks for stepping on his tail. In his mind he was an outright saint. Defeating monsters, pushing mean kids over, and teachers.. they were just evil.
"Yes and you skip out of class, make other kids cry, and yell at your teacher." Winter cleared her throat, looking down to the dragon with a smirk. "Now at least this little guy knows manners."
"I aabn rying a aake emb cry!" ((I wasn't trying to make em cry!)) Cody protested, stomping a hoof on the ground, "I wab jusb blaying!" ((I was just playing!))

The boy's interest perked as the boy claimed he'd actually fought a bad guy! He'd obviously been lucky in finding one, Keanu had yet to find a truyl evil person. However the second statement was lost to Keanu. Jibberish? Something about a bag, or...? Bags werent' evil the last time he checked, but then again maybe this was a special bag? He couldn't be sure. Though Winter's comment seemed to shine some light. "Eh... But making people cry isn't good, and why yell at a teacher? Yelling really doesn't get much good done." He'd learned that from when his mum and Ikurai had debated shortly after the accident with his eye. No, yelling didn't help much at all.
Ymir was pleased with the statement, but that wasn't quite what he'd been hoping on. The dragon edged up closer trying a small series of shorter chirps this time lifting his head trying to further the notion of a head scratch. Yes, he didn't mind losing a bit of face in order to get that bit of snuggling he wanted, and he knew it wasn't coming from that overly aggressive kid they'd met.

Cody looked to his hooves shortly, making little patterns in the air, "Nnneh tneacker gabe uf omeurk..." ((The teacher gave us homework)) He explained."An omeurk is embil. No bimb for pway." ((Homework is evil. No time for play))
Winter rolled her eyes. While she had thought the same thing as a kid, she never openly protested to the teacher about homework... work either now that she thought about it. Evil as evil got... having to grin like a doofis while customers lost their temper over the dumbest things like forgetting a straw, a napkin, or a penny for change all the while her boss encouraging everyone through rather vocal means to be happy about it. Bull phucky the whole lot of it.
She distracted herself with the dragon, scratching him gently under the chin, "Well Kenau maybe Cody could learn a thing or two about right and wrong from you. You're welcome to come over whenever you'd like just... behave yourself alright? And don't be loud too early in the morning. Edan and Pelinore like to sleep in."
"Edan's a weenie." Cody snickered, pulling the cotton from his nose and displaying the bloody balls proudly, "It stopped!"

Homework..? He'd had homework before, it wasn't so bad. And wasn't practicing a type of homework too? To the leopard the whole concept of it being evil was lost. Perhaps once a teacher who's subject(like history) seemed unimportant tohim came along, then there would be a problem. "It's not so evil, it's only evil if you make i so." Was the only conclusion he could come to. "There is a point to it, improving. It takes time, but anything worth doing requires effort and time." He flicked an ear trying to figure out how homework culd come off as bad to the boy, but soon gave up. His idea of homework was his practicing at home, and to him that was the best pass time ever. Thus the idea just didn't work.
Though the woman's mention of right and wrong quickly made the boy hear the latest problem his mum had been having with him. Raja would never had agreed with this lady, no she's downright bring up all the issues she thought he had. Or possibly the fact he had snuck out while she was away. Not that he thought there was anything wrong with it, but this adult had a completely different vision of right and wrong than his mum. One he prefered to her's no less. "I'll be good, don't worry. A hero must be good, or they just aren't a hero." He replied with a grin, remembering what happened the last time he woke up the nocturnal household member durring the day. It had not been a good experience. "It's not good to wake up people who are tired, so I'll make sure to be quiet." Besides not wanting a repeat, bothering people didn't lseem like a very heroish thing to o either to him. Another no-no in his book.
As the younger boy piped in again with his comments Keanu glanced back, noticing a clock out of the corner of his eye as he did. Though even as the boy popped out the five words quickly while acting the leopard was quickly distracted. An 'uh-h' had gone off instantly as the actual time registered. Raja... would be home soon. If he wasn't back before then she'd know he'd snuck out and that would mean a lot of trouble. Trouble best avoided. "Uhhh..." Quickly glancing back to pretend he'd just been paying attention to what Cody had said, which obviously had to do with the now unplugged nose he nodded. "Oh, that's good! I'm glad you're alright!" Very glad, it should never have happened in the first place. "But I uh... well I need to go. Mum will be home soon and she doesn't know I went out for a walk with Ymir." Perhaps Winter's idea that Keanu was such a good child would be changing now, but lying wasn't a good thing either. Now if his mother never asked if he went out he wouldn't have tolie. She'd never know.
Ymir who'd been enjoying his bit of affection that he was getting from the woman, shifting his head every so often to get a better spot scratched at gave a mild chirp while drawing his head back sadly. He'dhave rathered to stay with the nice lady than go back to deal with what remained at the house. Still he could go hide in a nice cool corner... there just would be a lack of people who didn't know all of Ymir's attention whoring ways. Still, he wasn't about to let Keanu head off alone, or deal with the wrath of one very loud angry feline. Thus he gave the woman a happy little coo that ended in a chirp before giving her leg a gentle nudge and got up to wander over to Keanu who was already edging for the door while waving.
"It was very nice meeting you both, bye now!" And with as much speed and grace as a boy with one of his eyes covered could muster he quickly headed back out into the yard and over the fence. Homeward bound was the idea of the moment. That, and getting back out of the sun.
